Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 17 FPL News: After the excitement (maybe not!) of the midweek fixtures we are back with a long weekend of games beginning on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea chasing records at Pardew’s Palace. We move swiftly on to four relatively dull looking games at 3pm, if we are being totally honest about it! It reads more like a relegation audition or next seasons typical Championship fixture list than any sort of Premier League bonanza. Ahem, sorry, we’re supposed to build you up into a frenzy of excitement to encourage the conversation about what is to come and what is happening aren’t we?! We’ll actually forgive you if you leave at 2pm and return at 5pm though, just this once! The evening game could actually be an interesting one as Man United visit West Brom, both of whom enjoyed midweek wins. Sunday begins with a south coast derby followed by arguably the clash of the weekend as Pep meets Wenger at the Etihad. At the same time as that one Spurs will seek to gain some ground on the leaders as they host Burnley. Our game-week closes out on Monday with another derby game, this time on Merseyside. Charlie, welcome! I think it was yellow due to the fact that it wasn’t contact to the head. Woulda been different if it was a late challenge with an elbow or barge to the head. Coulda gone either way though at full speed.
Maybe, but it was an elbow involved. Lucky it was in PL. Players here are a bit more robust…

I had him when he was banned. By the way, even though I like Ibra and his chances, I must say that ManU look f-cking slow paced. It’s almost like watching Dutch 3rd division teams. How the hell can both teams do this at this level? Or this supposed level?

Plenty of players in the 30’s Raz in both teams.. Dead slow the game..
Wafflez, I never doubted the man. I stuck with him during his 6 game scoring drought. He pretty much did the same as he’s been doing now, and maybe even more back then. He was just terribly unlucky. I was sort of pissed everybody was saying that the EPL was too much for him at his age. Also a reason I kept him. Only reason I sold him was because of game ban and well.. he does play for United… no offense but it’s not the best football anymore, by a long shot.
United have been better the last few games mate.. I do agree Mata, Rooney, Ibra dont have pace, but they have quality.. Combined with the youngsters Lingard, Martial, Pogba who have plenty of pace.. United will be strong.. wont be surprised if they finish in the top 4

Same so far Silvers, I chased Hull a bit, fair to say that didn’t go too well! Kane can save it for me, everyone else in my ML capped Costa and only one owns Kane. Deja vu setting in from last week though!
Yeah, Hull was decent today and actually deserved the win. WHU were pretty terrible. Postive note, they are facing Swansea whom conceded 3 goals today vs Mid… lol. 😉
I did consider that when I lumped in. I wouldn’t have done so if they had Hull and then a difficult one. In theory it was 2 games with a good chance of scoring high in both.
Carroll played 90 and I think if the game allows it, he will play 70+ versus Swansea.
Could ibra be rested against Sunderland?
No. I think Mourinho said in an interview that he is so important he won’t be rested. This is what I heard on television, so haven’t read it myself.
Mourinho mentioned it a couple of days back that he might have to rest him..

But then Ibra was asked before the game and he mentioned that he is feeling like a 20 year old and wants to play every game.. hopefully he convinces the manager..
I dont get why he doesnt get substituted.. he has played 90 mins almost every game.. today he could have been taken off after the goal..
If he does get rested I doubt it’s for the Sunderland game as that’s not until Boxing day now.
Well it’s look like I’m finishing on 17 with Heaton, Sanchez, Walcott, lallana, origi and Kane (c) to go – hopefully those red arrows will be green come the end of this GW!
