Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 17 FPL News: After the excitement (maybe not!) of the midweek fixtures we are back with a long weekend of games beginning on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea chasing records at Pardew’s Palace. We move swiftly on to four relatively dull looking games at 3pm, if we are being totally honest about it! It reads more like a relegation audition or next seasons typical Championship fixture list than any sort of Premier League bonanza. Ahem, sorry, we’re supposed to build you up into a frenzy of excitement to encourage the conversation about what is to come and what is happening aren’t we?! We’ll actually forgive you if you leave at 2pm and return at 5pm though, just this once! The evening game could actually be an interesting one as Man United visit West Brom, both of whom enjoyed midweek wins. Sunday begins with a south coast derby followed by arguably the clash of the weekend as Pep meets Wenger at the Etihad. At the same time as that one Spurs will seek to gain some ground on the leaders as they host Burnley. Our game-week closes out on Monday with another derby game, this time on Merseyside. Hazard 1 goal in 5 games is starting to piss me off,hes got 2 games to prove himself or im gonna ditch him,keep Costa and go double Chelsea at the back !!
Alright Brooke, Hazard did look very good today. Giving him a couple of weeks makes sense to me
I ditched him last week cos of this mate.. Eriksen and Sanchez are must have’s now plus Ibra and Kane.. Its going to be tough to keep Haz.. When Costa and Aguero come back lot more ppl will ditch him if he doesnt perform
Brooky – I agree with Alex – he did look pretty sharp considering but he’s only in my team until Kun is back

In my opinion yes – I’m hoping a lot of my rivals don’t
Kun is another premium priced player that has to prove he’s worth the price tag,only Sanchez and Costa that are at the moment and maybe Kane if he gets a brace tomorrow !
Hazard is a tough one. Look what happened earlier in the season… He went four games without scoring and then went on a great scoring spree. That said I am also very tempted to ditch and double up at the back.

Hello Silvers, yer all well thanks. Life been stupidly busy of late, building new house and preparing for arrival of number 3 child in a month or so! FPL going terribly, down to worst rank I can remember in years and years! Cant seem to get anything correct. How are you pal?
Alex Great news on your 3 child I have 3 girls all a bit older now 4 grandkids whom I adore.
Building your own house seems like hard work but must be quite rewarding I bet it will be great when finished

I don’t have him mate so it’s not my headache to solve, I went with Haz over Costa and I’ve stayed clear of any double coverage so far this year. He has been a big thorn in my side but I can’t see a way to fit 3 of the big 4 (Costa/Kane/Ibra/Aguero) into a team yet. I am looking forward to see how people will deal with it all
Costa to Ibra done.. Got only 10.4 from Costa, but money doesnt matter.. Come on Ibra.. Smoke some goals against Sunderland..
Prav, I’m thinking of doing the same. Got exact money so have to go tonight if I’m going too! Can get Costa back after for Kane or Ibra. Good move do we think?
I think its a good move mate.. But I will look to get Costa straight back.. If Kane scores big, I will have to rip my defense apart and then upgrade Lukaku to Costa..

I’m debating between Kane and Costa out for Ibra. Costa makes sense because of the ban BUT i’ll want Costa back so its an extra transfer to bring him back so maybe Kane is the better option?
Selling Kane before him not playing doesnt make sense mate.. but i see ur point on the extra transfer.. just imagine Kane goin nuts tom, u will be regretting ur transfer..

Dumb question. If I sell Costa for ibra at the mo it says 10.3 for Costa but to buy back 11. Will I lose 0.7 mil if I swap back?
Yes.. once u sell Costa, u oly get 10.3.. if u have to buy him back he will cost u 11 mil.. but do keep in mind that he will go down in price too.. mostly 0.2 to 0.3.. So he might cost u 10.7 to 10.8
In that case I’ll take my chances!
Prav, I was about to say I doubt Costa will drop 0.2 but just checked and he’s already down -40 so likely he will fall tomorrow. Price changes this season are crazy!
Wow,There must be some thick people selling Costa now then having to buy him back next week for an extra 0.5 mill minimum. I will just bench him and bring him back refreshed and rested to wreak havoc on any team he comes against as he has done for the last 9 games. Come January I will buy Aguero,Coutinou & possibly Firmino as it will be sale time!!
Siggy is due to rise tonight as well. The world has gone mad if anyone buys that guy. Swansea are doomed so why would you have a loser like that and spend 7.5 mill into the bargain.Fixtures?

Kruz ‘thick’ is probably the wrong word to use. You don’t know how peoples teams are set up and what makes sense for them. If you can bench him well done, but in some cases that may not be possible. Especially if you want Ibra as your captain next week.

+2 Mitro. No offence Kruz but calling others thick ahead of a decision they may make is wrong. I’ve not looked yet but when I do if I decide a switch to Ibra is in my best interests I’ll do it. Doesn’t make me thick.

Agree with pickford. I did consider shipping him but for 4.2m he is value. I’d be wary of west ham. Yes they have just kept two clean beers but against arguably the league’s worst scorers.
Good evening folks. I know its a bit early, but i have to trigger the transfer to avoid the ibra price rise.
I planned for kane to ibra switch prior to the gw, but the costa yc has made me change the plan, though its not possible to do it with the FT,. I guess I have to transfer out costa as i have another inactive player for this gw Ake in my team and i am not feeling good to start diomande.
So I have decided to move antonio out of my team. what do u guys think about the best replacement for antonio??
1. Ramirez ( Better stats per match, relatively tougher fixture)
2. Zaha ( Best fixture, Leave for AFCON)
3. Phillips( Overall good fixture, the next 2 fixtures are tough)
4. Allen (Toughest fixture, but good stats)
Any suggestion regarding other transfer would be very much appreciated
Evening Hochoki, Id do the plan as you suggest and move Philips in. He looks really dangerous. Im considering him for a 4th mid over the next few weeks as well. Good luck.
