Live Match Chat Gameweek 20 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 20 FPL News: We hope you enjoyed your 17 hours free from FPL and football in general! Yes, you read it right, GW19 ended last night and GW20 starts this morning. Now if that doesn’t smack of rotation then we don’t know what does. Obviously the teams are spread out in some sort of equal ‘ish’ fashion but there is also the issue of having so little time that some injuries will not be reported on. It’s a bit hit and hope in that respect at this time of year and so the team sheets will be eagerly anticipated and we begin at 12.30pm with ‘Boro hosting Leicester, followed by four 3pm games and today ends with Man united visiting West Ham. Tuesday evening see three games, before our week and Christmas period itself finally ends on Wednesday with Spurs hosting Chelsea amid echoes of a certain New Years Day fixture two years ago ending up 5-3 to the hosts, albeit a few days earlier than the anniversary.

  1. Anyone have an update of Bentekke’s injury?

  2. Hello gents

    Thoughts on tonight’s game?
End to the Chelsea winning streak?

    • It is going to end at some point. Might be easier for a weaker team to catch CFC asleep than Spurs. But Spurs will certainly be up for it. Hope they do beat them, hate for the EPL race to be over by February.

      • Yeah

Chelsea look alienated at the top 😉

        You got players playing tonight?

I got Haz Azpi and Costa

        • A hopeful gooner. Spurs will crush Chelski or maybe a boring 1-1. Costa to versus Lloris and Hazard to score versus Courtois. Thank you. Kane own goal will also do. ;P

        • I have Luiz and Costa.

        • Okay, Luiz own goal and Costa goal it is. 😉

Just kidding.. Wasn’t Luiz still injured and feeling bad after the whole Kun tackle thingy? I read something about it yesterday. You reckon he will start?

        • Hope is all we can do
          :/

Kune OG would be sweet though

        • Kane LOL

        • Not sure if he will start Raz, yeah I saw that also. Hopefully he gives it a go

    • ‘We’ll need to play with a high tempo and be fully concentrated for 90 minutes.’ @marcosalonso03 on tonight’s game

Alonso at least will surely start then

  3. Anyone able to tell me how close Defoe and Ake are to a price rise?

    • Defoe is rising at 1.1% Per hour
He is currently at 21.5% rise

So he will rise at least after two days at this rate

Ake is rising at 0.5% per hour and currently at 16%

They won’t rise easily in the next 2-3 days

  4. Considering my budget about 102, If I played my WC this be my initial inclination. Would probably change over a couple of days, but it be close to this.

I however won’t be playing my WC, so all just a pretend scenario. smile

    • Playiing out this Hypothetical> It would take a lot of reshaping to fit Kun, plus I don’t love their next two fixtures. Ibra is likely to stay with me until his probable blank in 26, his fixtures are too good. So it becomes a battle between Diego and Harry for the 2nd top striker spot. I prefer Costa’s next two (after Spurs) over Harry’s next two. Although that fixture vs the Baggies could yield some good returns. After two GWs, basically before 23 kicks off, I would look at moving Kane or Kun in for Costa. If Kun will have a blank in 26 and we would know by GW23 it will probably be Kane, since he has great fixtures and no possible blank.

    • Very likeable

      Press the WC 😉
      Forget the DGWs

    • I’m also struggling not to play my wildcard even though 3 days ago I was really happy with my team. Had a quick go and came up with this rabble….

      • That’s a good side there, you obviously concentrated more of your money in your third mid with Alli.
Not really struggling to not play it though, was just bored and did a hypothetical one, but I have zero intention of doing it. Just wanted to see what it would look like.

        • These lob. FPL breaks between games give me an itchy finger.

I had to shop out Alonso, Hazard, Carroll and Capone to get that team so only the last 2 are are problem right now

        • *long

        • I would have kept Capone. He don’t like it when he is crossed…

        • Haha. He’s up on an FA charge of fraud and racketeering

    • I seen this And liked it! I can get it with 4.5 in the bank somehow, which could turn Giroud into Kun if needed… must resist the wildcard!

  5. Chelsea team tonight: Courtois; Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill (c); Moses, Kante, Matic, Alonso; Pedro, Diego Costa, Hazard. #TOTCHE

    • THFC: Lloris (C), Walker, Dier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Wanyama, Dembele, Eriksen, Dele, Kane.

    • No Cesc or Willian here either

      • Cesc is really just a squad player for them and it’s a straight choice between Willian and Pedro. Both teams look at full strength so should (hopefully) be a cracker

      • Conte is too conservative

        Works for him

  6. “After their failed bid for Jermain Defoe West ham have turned their attention to signing Mike Dean from Manchester United”
