Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 20 FPL News: We hope you enjoyed your 17 hours free from FPL and football in general! Yes, you read it right, GW19 ended last night and GW20 starts this morning. Now if that doesn’t smack of rotation then we don’t know what does. Obviously the teams are spread out in some sort of equal ‘ish’ fashion but there is also the issue of having so little time that some injuries will not be reported on. It’s a bit hit and hope in that respect at this time of year and so the team sheets will be eagerly anticipated and we begin at 12.30pm with ‘Boro hosting Leicester, followed by four 3pm games and today ends with Man united visiting West Ham. Tuesday evening see three games, before our week and Christmas period itself finally ends on Wednesday with Spurs hosting Chelsea amid echoes of a certain New Years Day fixture two years ago ending up 5-3 to the hosts, albeit a few days earlier than the anniversary.

  1. Hey guys, can anyone tell me if stanislas is due to go up and is it worth going early to bring h in early for allen?

    • On 59% so not yet

      • Are you looking at FFF, Smash? FPL stats has him at 83.4% now and rising quickly. Stuff may be thrown off a bit because of people using WCs though.

      Stanislas is at 82% and rising quickly. I’m guessing that he’ll go up tomorrow and not tonight, but it might be close. There are FA Cup matches this week so any early transfers are risky as you could pick up some injuries. I’m contemplating doing an early transfer also as I can only just afford to do it before any price changes. But if you’re able to wait that’s probably the smart play.

  2. Damn, unexpected that Spurs would get this good. Anyone seen the game tonight? I just sold both Kane and Eriksen a few gameweeks back. sad

    • Yeah they have burnt me last few weeks. Having Bloody Kane and then neither Alli or Erikson

    • i rage traded Kane a week ago after having him as Cap 3 weeks in a row for Zip. He politely salutes me with 2 goals and an assist.

      • Weird thing is that there is always him or Eriksen not delivering one week, so far Alli seems the best choice. Again, really unexpected after his season start.

    • Eriksen and Alli looking great. I have Eriksen currently and can just afford to do Siggy to Alli if I do it before any price changes. Spurs have a pretty appealing schedule from here on out, seriously considering doubling up with Eriksen and Alli.

      • Firminho has been a stinker for me since they moved him from the main striker role. sad

        • Something tells me, his role will be more important now Mane is off.

        • The way Liverpool spread around the goals it’s tough to get consistent returns from any of them. I’m happy enough with Lallana for now, at least he’s pretty inexpensive and still trickling in the points.

  4. What’s the most urgent for you guys? Not too sure why I’m performing so badly this season but I end up ‘chasing’ points weekly.

    • Neo, if chasing points means the ones from the last GW then you are not alone. It is not a winning strategy though and I see that you have taken a lot of hits so far. It is usually better to plan for a number of games ahead and keep faith with the majority of your players who fit that plan.
      IMO a WC is not necessary.
      Pogba is too expensive for the points he gives so a move to Alli makes sense.
      Are you able to upgrade Origi as he may be a sub quite often? Maybe take out one of your premium defenders for the cash.

  5. Morning Everyone,

    I was doing well at the start but over the last month have been slipping further and further behind, Now I need at least 60 to climb back to the top of the leagues I was winning. My team needs a new strike force, a couple of mids, potentially a def and a GK. So I change over time or activate the WC and make wholesale changes.

    Any advice or help is very welcome. Cheers D

      I think you have a safe GK and nice choices and balance in defence. The midfield looks good as well but I would look to upgrade Origi or Negredo to Giroud. Can you make this happen by downgrading Hazard to Ali?

    WC activated, time to turn this season into something half respectable. Any views on my team? I’m aware having an injured pickford in isn’t ideal but I’ll want him when fit and i needed the money to get alli in.

      I too like the look of it and I played my WC before the last deadline and I included a number of your men there. I agree with Cookie, for a team with Aguero, (Costa and Sanchez too), it’s probably as strong as you can make it.
