Live Match Chat Gameweek 22 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 22 FPL News: After a somewhat bumper GW21 in terms of FPL points we can only hope GW22 took notice and follows suit! Liverpool should get that particular ball rolling as they begin the week for us at home to bottom club Swansea. The Reds are the top scorers in the league with 49 goals. Swansea have conceded the most with (ironically) 49 against. We then have five 3pm games before a Saturday evening cracker as Spurs look to test their title challenging form against a somewhat beleaguered Man City. Sunday begins with the Saints hosting Leicester in the early one before Tom Heaton goes to Arsenal in pursuit of yet more save points. Our GW finishes probably how it began with the only real question being ‘can Chelsea score more against Hull than Liverpool managed against Swansea’. As ever this is your platform to vent, rage, celebrate, jubilate… whatever takes your fancy.

Giroud to rescue your gameweek
Looking like it swirly!
That defence could!
Giroud and Chelsea clean sheet could easily save you
GP, Jones will come on for 4 when Ake doesn’t play. Somehow he got 2 bonus points. I’ll take them though.
Akes going to get 3 minutes I heard
“Sucks sir……”
Through gritted teeth #ouch
I did laugh when I read that this morning.
If only I knew how to hot comment it…..
Hahaha
Don’t be distancing yourself now! I have no idea either, must have been Mito 😉
Mito wouldn’t hot comment his own
#lovechild Must have been Coal then…
So Aguero looked like Crap today, only saw second half he didnt even have a shot I dont think. Jesus was on for minutes and did more, just seems like no one in the City team likes Aguero anymore. He is like the kid at school no-one wants to hang out with
And Pep is trying to transform Sterling into something decent, lucky Walker pushed him so we didnt have to see his pathetic miss
Well they best make friends with him again soon because he’s the only one they have that can finish chances consistently.
Yeah don’t really agree. Yeah he did not score but looked dangerous.
He looked dangerous but short of confidence
Yeah and maybe a bit slow. Certainly the focal point of City
fair enough he looked pretty good first half now I have seen it, dont think he looked great in the second half. Lacking confidence is right, seemed to pass quite a few times when he normally would have been shooting. I just want that Kun hattrick , but not against Spurs anyway
Seriously, what were you on when watching the game? Kun was awesome.
+1
Kun looked great
Great free kick by Rooney but a point does not help their top 4 hopes
Yep another poor draw, story of the season.
Mata missed a sitter which was disappointing
Yeah the whole thing was rubbish. Mata’s was an open goal.
Very disappointing esp with the Scousers getting pooped by the Welshies at home and City & Spurs drawing.
Going to make a prediction that I’m pretty sure has an 80% chance of coming true. Wayne Rooney will start next week over Mata.
Going by want Jose said Rooney may be a viable pick for people looking for cheap forwards.
He may indeed play but he isn’t a reliable FPL pick anymore I don’t think.
And he isn’t ‘cheap’ either for his points output this season.
Very much agree with you Sir
With Costa, Kun, Zlatan, Kane, Lukaku, he won’t get the attention
Even if you go ahead, Giroud, Llorente, Carroll, and Defoe would be prior to him
He actually has a very good point output when standardised and his game time is taken into account. If he’s a starter he should snatch up many points . Check out his first 3 games when he played the full 90 minutes.
That was August Waxys, not relevant for the current state of the game.
Can’t convince me but good luck if you choose him.
Morning Waxys
In my opinion there are much options than Rooney!
Don’t let your heart manage your team matey
???
Ha ha that was a test, didnt work, never mind…..yes im thinking of bringing him in next week and using the triple captain chip on him, theres a 90% chance it will be a massive fail, but he who dares eh ?? :winktongue:
Apart from the goal he was far from impressive yesterday. Van Nistelrooy also has great stats but I would not start him, lol. Mourinho needs to get it in his thick brain that pace is relevant. Rashford, Martial, Mhkitary. Hehe. Yesterday Mata, Rooney, Fellaini, Ibra, Blind… Too freaking slow.
Rooney didn’t start the game Raz
I know, but replacing slow pace with slow pace made zero sense. I got the Lingard and Rashford sub, though why the hell did he take Mhki off? Mourinho has lost it in my opinion.Far below par for the material he has at hand.
Rooney remains one of our most creative players and therefore had to come on. And clearly he was justified in his decision!
I completely get your point on pace though, sadly the ghost of
LVG and his laboured possession play lives on in the heads of the players.
It’s also about being daring and Mourinho isn’t that. He buys everything that is worldclass and players like Lingard and Rashford barely get playing time. A complete waste. Anyway, they have the money, so they will buy more. Can’t blame the predecessors al lthe time. Mourinho bought the most expensive players and he’s got a better main striker than Arsenal, Spurs. Just figure he would be in his prime. LvG left them with shite though, as has Moyes, as Ferguson left a deflated squad, Alex left at just the right time.
Anyway, United think that if the buy the best managers and the best players that will make them the best. Which hasn’t been the case for years..
Anyway, it’s not that I really care, I have Ibra. But Mournho could def. do much better with the team he has.
In Ibracadabra we trust.
Hi guys..out of topics for a while yeah..me and my wife going on tour for our honeymoon..on 4th of february we r staying at dorsett hotel in london..is it far from stamford bridge?coz if im not mistaken chelsea vs arsenal 12.30 right?
Morning casey
Chelsea v Arsenal is at 12.30pm that day on BT Sport.
Just googled it for you. Your hotel looks lovely and it is about one hours walk (10 minute taxi) from Stamford Bridge.
I went to Chelsea two years ago to do the tour and would recommend that. The tour guide we had was telling me he was there when they had 2,000 of a home crowd versus Leyton Orient in the 70s. He was a lovely guy. You might also want to go visit it for historical reasons as it is going to be rebuilt in the near future.
Cookie can recommend a restaurant to you nearby (I can’t remember its name) but we went and it was lovely.
Cookie??
Thnx gp..appreciate it..but the ticket is really expensive..omg..in my country we only pay myr10 its around $3 there..when i check online the minimum is $320..hahahaha..need to rethink thou..hahaha
That’s Malaysia right?
Yeah getting in to the game would be very expensive but a trip to see the stadium is recommended.
You may have to go watch it in a pub nearby
Yup gp malaysia..mb i will go to watch near the pub..haha..but if budget is not a problem then i will go to watch it..need to see it live..dang..
You also have Crystal Palace at 3pm and Tottenham playing at 5.30pm that day as well although I think Tottenham games are really difficult for tickets just now because of the stadium redevelopment. I think you can actually get the tube (underground) to Watford as well who are at home that day.
Have a great trip, you’ll love London.
Sophie’s Steak House?
No you recommended two and it was the other one we tried
Joe’s Brasserie?
That’s definitely the one.
I knew it has a plain name. That was lovely in there. I had chicken skewers and the best Peroni I’ve ever had.
Its a great area for restaurants as is London in general.
Goodmans steak house – superb!!
Indeed Mitro
Thanks for the tip Mitro. I’ll try to check that one out next time I’m down.
You Sir have planned it wonderfully
Happy Holidays
Thnx nishant..hoping to see it live..haha
You shall
Casey, as you have seen, tickets will be very expensive for that game. Chelsea games are expensive anyway but the Arsenal match will be considered as Tier One and the most expensive category.
Cookie an out of the box question for you Sir
You like Indian curries?
Yes Nishant, love them. Someone like Init would like a hotter one than me though. Bear in mind we are talking English Indian curries – I understand proper Indian curries are very different to the ones served in England.
Yes Sir
It’s the Indian spices mostly
Plus with brilliant exports I really think even the British Indian curries don’t really vary much
I am a foodie
And follow a bit of Food and Cookery shows from all round the world
There’s this British Chef Jamie Oliver whom I love to watch. Very much loved by me nd my cousins, not sure about his popularity there though
And yes, Good to know the love for Indian food amongst you gents
Nishant I think I’m correct in saying that curry is now the most popular dish in the UK, overtaking fish and chips!
Yeah Jamie Oliver is very popular as are cooking programmes in general.
You’ll be pleased to hear that my mrs makes a magnificent Indian (and also Thai) curry!
Oh well then I would add another must To Do to my checklist if I manage to visit England
That would be tasting Mrs Cook’s delicious curry
Tickets for Arsenal v Chelsea will be around £98!
Morning gents,
Reading this conversation has gotten me quite hungry. I love nothing better than visiting quality restaurants when I visit new cities.
Not a fan of Jamie Oliver though
Haha
Like his quick cooking style
Plus he is at least calm, unlike Gordon Ramsay. Haha
Oh I’m not a fan of Ramsay either but I’d rather eat at one of his restaurants.
Well those are the two of the four Britishers I know and mostly watch on TV
The other 2 being Heston and Nigella.
I’d love to try out Heston’s restaurant
All making me feel hungry. They will all be amazing
Heston is like the Food Scientist
Big opportunities for Arsenal and Chelsea today after yesterday’s results.
Hope captain Sanchez goes wild :smirk:
Oh and I would take that too
Hoping for a Heaton penalty save too
And may be even a BP
Still wondering how Jones got me those 2 BPs
