Work on the defence. You cant field in 3 strong defenders next GW.
      Sagna plays ManUtd
      Williamson plays Spurs
Dont know why Olsson is flagged
      Ward plays Everton

Only Shaw has a good fixture.

So how about you ditch Olsson as he has a potential blank GW too?
      Demel/Bertrand could be good replacements.

      • redmecca says:

        Thanks for this B.
Other options are Sagna to Dawson or Distin
or Williamson/Gabbidon to Collins of West Ham.

When you say Olsson has a “blank GW” I take it you mean, even if fit, he won’t play.

So i guess Giroud to Rooney is no more a good move. Ill have to look for better alternative now as my 3rd striker.

    Anyone backing Benteke?

      NIN says:

The B – I brought Benteke in this week,i haven’t seen the highlights from all the fixtures yet but i heard he hit the woodwork twice,he’s been playing well recently,i think he’s very close to top form so yeah, good buy in my opinion,i’m keeping him for sure.

That has just given me motivation to bring in Benteke. Giroud is just wasting funds for me and a zero from him this week has been disappointing.

Coming 3 GWs are pretty good too, Cardiff, Newcastle and Norwich.

        • NIN says:

The B – Yep,i think he’s going to do well,i do think a Chelsea defender is a must too,to be honest it wouldn’t be a bad -4 to take, although that’s not exactly necessary, depends on whether you’re chasing or not i suppose.

      EBC says:

I have Benteke. I think he’ll do well over the next few weeks.

Adebayor is also a good option.

      • The B says:

I really want to bring in Adebayor but i think having both Erik and Adebayor would be overkill.

        • gkw says:

I think it’s probably sensible to have 2 Spurs players to help make the most of blank and double GWs. Spurs are out of the FA Cup so may score points in a GW when other top (I use the word loosely) teams have cup matches. But tbh I don’t know this for sure, as I haven’t looked into when postponed matches might be played.

Benteke is on my radar but I still haven’t seen enough of a reason to bring him in, that said I was close to it this week but opted for Bony instead.
I really do see Jelavic as a decent option for Hull, whilst J.Rodriguez would be a better option you already have Lallana from Southampton. Bony could continue to do well, although he has a *blergh* run of fixtures. Eto’o is another option as his performances suggest he’s found his feet, but again you have Hazard from Chelsea. Unfortunately there aren’t any other options available to you as you have the two ‘must haves’ from Liverpool, both being miles ahead of any other suggestions I could offer, only Aguero being ahead of them with possibly van Persie’s recent form another option although both of those are arguable to the two aforementioned.

In short, I really don’t see any other forwards out performing Suarez and Sturridge for the rest of the season and you should choose your third forwards price range wisely if you have other options in midfield for their respective team’s coverage (i.e. Hazard, Rodriguez, Persie*Mata*). I’m not saying don’t get Benteke, just think about the other options in that price range who are performing similarly.

        Great insights flingy, as usual.

I really wanted to bring in Bony but never found a FT for him. So held on to Giroud. I’ve been playing this game by fixtures and Bony doesnt impress any more.

Benteke has great 3 GWs coming up so i could hope for something there. Jelavic would be an ultimate differential for me and would be a brave move, dont think ill be able to do that move even when im drunk, although his fixtures are really great.
