Hey guys, I have a quick strategy question.

The two transfers I’m thinking about this week are getting rid of Clyne for Ivanovic and/or getting rid of Eriksen for Lallana. I know we can see the team sheets before the deadline on Tuesday, but if I wait until then Ivan will probably go up another .2 million and Lallana will go up as well.

I think they’re both nailed on, but I’m curious if you would get them early and save some $$, or wait until the team sheets are out to be sure before buying. I’m also curious which move you would do first or if you think it’s worth a -4 point hit.

    Manonne Marshall
    Clyne Coleman Koscielny Vlaar Ward
    Silva Eriksen Mata Hazard Puncheon
    Suarez J Rod Sturridge

    2.6 million in the bank

I’m thinking it might be worth a hit as I captained Hazard this week and made up a ton of ground in my main mini league. What do you think and which move would you make first?

      B-Bash says:

Evening Red! Immediate thought is Ivanovic sounds good. Selling Eriksen for a hit doesn’t sound as appealing.

      • RedVT says:

Hey Bash! Thank you. Dropping Eriksen for a hit could be a bit rash, I guess I’m still steamed he got taken off after 58 minutes and only scored a point today. Do you think he’s worth hanging onto for another week? He’s got Newcastle away next, and although he’s set to drop in price tonight and Lallana will probably go up again before the deadline, I can just about afford to wait until after Tuesday to do it with my next FT.

Decent score for you this week, looks like you’ve got another green arrow in the most important league- the overall!! Congratulations man, keep it up.

        • B-Bash says:

Cheers Red. Up to 27! Would have been top 10 if I’d have captained Hazard, but 1000’s regretting that one
I would get Ivan and leave it at that.

        • RedVT says:

Thanks Bash, that’s sound advice. One last question if you don’t mind, who would you drop for Ivanovic from Clyne, Ward, Kosc, Coleman, or Vlaar? I was thinking Clyne because I don’t think he’s nailed when Chambers is healthy, and I don’t care how good you are- you can’t score points sitting on the bench! Who would you drop?

        • B-Bash says:

Red, depends on your financial situation and your Aguero plans. Monitor Vlaars injury. If hes unfit change him. If not then Clyne it is

        • RedVT says:

Cheers, thanks Bash. Best of luck this week, keep charging up the leader board!!

      gkw says:

Keep Clyne, now he’s fit again and playing. I’d upgrade Ward and/or Puncheon as Palace have a tough run of fixtures right the way through to GW38.

      • RedVT says:

Do you think Clyne will keep his place now that Chambers is healthy again? He really only came on as a substitute initially because Chambers got a knock, and then started the following match because Chambers wasn’t 100% (and was subbed off after 79 minutes).

It’s important to me that everyone in my team is as nailed on as possible, so I was thinking of dropping Clyne as Ward and Vlaar are both guaranteed to start when healthy.

        • Raziel says:

Chambers replaced Clyne after he assisted last game. That’s a signal that Chambers is close and Clyne needs to beware. If he’ll replace him, I don’t know. Only reason why Clyne came one was because of the knock. Chambers has the future, that’s for sure.

        • RedVT says:

I agree Raz, Chambers is 1st choice when healthy. Which is a shame as Clyne always looks dangerous when he’s on and he’s affordable. But I don’t like not knowing who’s going to start every match- that’s why I don’t have any Man City forwards!

        • Raziel says:

If you say you have no City forwards I automatically assume you have Silva. 😉

    What’s up with Ravel?

      Raziel says:

I think he tried to force his way out of WHU and so big Sam didn’t like him no more. Big Sam is mob, if you’re on his blacklist you’re doomed. Plus, I think he costs around 25k per match.

    Hi,
    If you had

    McGregor(susp)/Mannone as GKs and
Fonte, Sagna, Bardsley, Ward and Chester as defence
    (£1.6m in the bank)

What running repairs (transfer(s)) would you do before Tuesday guys?

    • 357.1
      gkw says:

Just replace Chester, as he’s out for another month. Longer term, also replace Ward (tough fixtures).

      • redmecca says:

Yes, I thought Chester to Collins.
Would you then go with a back 3 of Fonte Sagna and Collins and hope Arsenal don’t fall apart at Old Trafford (can’t really see that after today’s result though!)

        • gkw says:

Yeah, those 3. Btw Arsenal are at home. The game at OT earlier in the season was tight, and I think this time will be the same. Neither team will have been happy with their defending this weekend.

        • redmecca says:

          Thanks.
Mannone away to Man City worries me abit.
Although he is a good keeper and tends to make alot of saves in a game.

      Raziel says:

Hard one. Ummm I have Marshall as goalie and he has a perfect rotation with Mannone up to GW 34.

If 3 or more defenders are playing you could swap the keeper first. After that you do need to replace Chester sooner or later as Crystal Palace have hard fixture ahead. The other defenders apart from Fonte as well I think?

    Raziel says:

Hmm. Another poor week. Seems I messed up my team with wildcard, lol. >.<

    Anyway, this is my team:
    Mannone – Marshall
    Bruce – Fonte – Evans – Collins – Vlaar
    Silva – Oscar – Barkley – Mata – Noone
    Suarez – RvP – Sturridge

Have 2 ft's so I'm gonna replace Barkley with Sterling. Want to replace Evans. You guys have any suggestions? Was thinking about Olsson or Reid. Needs to be a defender of max. 5m. Preferred 4.7m so I can upgrade Bruce later (or maybe now for a hit, depending). Thanks in advance pale Brits. laugh

    as93 says:

Hi guys, pretty good GW due to captaining Hazard, this is my team…
    Guzan, Foster
    Evans, Cahill, Kos, Bruce, Ward
    Eriksen, Noone, Johnson, Yaya, Hazard
    Rooney, Suarez, J.Rod
I have 1.2 and 2FT. I want to replace Johnson so I’m thinking possible Rooney-Adebayor and Johnson-Gerrard/Mata. That would leave about 2.7 in the bank thou.. Any thoughts?

    • 359.1
      Raziel says:

Hmmm with Evans out, Bruce not playing you’re not worried about the defense?

      • as93 says:

I am but not massively this GW. I’m just playing around with ideas atm. Think Rooneys expensive to be not performing and Johnson’s upcoming fixtures are horrendous haha

        • Raziel says:

Just saying because I used my WC two GW’s ago and since I used it my defense has been a nightmare with the Evans and Vlaar injury. Bruce not playing. You already have 2 out, the slighest thing could result in only 2 defenders playing.

        • as93 says:

Yeah same situation since using mine lol. The defenders I had before are doing well now. I’ll have a look. Maybe address one of them this GW

        • Raziel says:

Also need to look how they rotate fixture wise. I mean, big up to Norwich that they kept a cleansheet. Beforehand I told people that City won’t score 7 times there, they only conceded 11 goals at home. But still, if you only have 3 defenders you don’t get to choose which defender you want for what fixture. Also, United have no game in GW29 I think, they have a DGW in GW 31 though.

    Cliffy Biro says:

Any recommendations on who to captain this Tuesday? I’m leaning towards Hazard or Liverpool forward? Fulham played well tonight, however Man U weren’t effective so may captain Suarez or Sturridge?

    Marshall
    Azpilicueta – Ward – Coleman
Yaya Touré – Mata – Hazard – Lallana
    Sturridge – Suárez – Adebayor

Mannone – Mutch – Koscielny – Ryan Bennett
    1FT 0.3 Bank

      as93 says:

I’m thinking of Suarez or Hazard too. I captained Hazard this weekend but he always seem to score bigger at home

      Raziel says:

Fulham were very lucky tonight. And I think United is gathering all the bad luck in 1 year so they can dominate the next 20 again. >.<
