Live Match Chat Gameweek 25 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 25 FPL News: There are just 14 weeks left now. Four or five of those will involve irregular fixtures due to either double or blank GW’s and will probably shape your FPL season. This isn’t one of those. That’s not to say this one isn’t a game changer. Or is it? Just ask Lukaku owners this week. Or indeed non owners… We hope you find your Lukaku this week. It probably won’t be Lukaku though… Doubles, blanks or neither – Lukaku was proof that every week matters. This one begins with Arsenal looking to revive any faint hopes of a title challenge at home to an ever improving Hull. Five games follow at 3pm including the man himself travelling to Middlesbrough. Saturday is rounded off nicely with a biggie as Liverpool host Spurs. Sunday begins with an intriguing one as Burnley’s amazing home record is put to the ultimate test as Chelsea swagger into town. Later on Swansea will look to get their recent revival back on track against a beleaguered Leicester side. Our GW doesn’t end there though as we have a Monday game this week which sees Bournemouth try to stop the latest phenomenon that is Jesus of Manchester. Good luck this week and please feel free to join us as ever as the action unfolds and post your thoughts, comments and feelings as the points (hopefully) roll in for you.

My main ML rival blew his bench boost this week, and scored a total of 34 points! With my WC in hand, plus all my chips, I’m pretty confident I’ll hold on to that. Now to improve on my pretty average rank of 482k.
Damn, why do you even call such a person a rival? Lol.
Haha I know! I swear most of my ML are casuals, and I’m only just beating them! Not much to be proud of to be honest.
You will do better soon. The game is 50% luck.
I finished inside the top 1k a few years back, and thought I was some FPL genius! The last couple of years have harshly brought me back to reality 😉
Lol’s….. #McAuley
Tossers
Getting tight at the top. 66 points this week will take that. Cheshire grin on 1 transfer in of Mawson for Jones
Worst gameweek ever
Thanks to all for recommending I held onto Alexis this week – the double move wouldn’t have worked out due to Jesus’injury and Alexis’ fortuitous brace.
Still a shitty 49-point game-week but better than it would have been if I’d sold Alexis & Carroll.
Rage transferred Stanislas and bought Snoddy this evening.
Have one more ft – may buy Mane for his trip to Leicester and get rid of Alexis, but will wait and see what happens in the Cup first.
mane blank on gw28.
So u are ok to play him for just 2gw?
Play him vs Leicester & Arsenal, then bench as i’ll likely have 9 or 10 for GW28 anyway.
Pep has been getting a load of stick this season, from me included. However, i’m beginning to warm to him.
He gets stick for trying to adapt his players to play to his system – that must be ruddy hard to do in a new league, where no-one else plays that way.
Results are starting to bear fruit – look at the improvement in Sterling for example. I’ve been one of his biggest critics from his Liverpool days when in my view he was quick but ran around like a headless chicken. Now he has more composure and his stats and points reflect that.
Re Kun – Pep thinks Jesus is better at playing his way and Kun is dropped as a result of Kun’s refusal to work or adapt. Fair play – no-one is bigger than their club – not Kun, not Alexis, not Costa, not Beckham or Keane. I like his management style, in dealing with his players its not unlike Fergie. And fair play to him, because he will weedle out the piss takers and keep the workers.
Long post, sorry. I could go on
People have the view that Pep had it easy at Barca and Bayern and while that may be true to a large extent, they still needed managing. People said he would struggle with City in England, yet within 6/7 months he has his team looking like the only realistic challenger to Chelsea.
From a United fan, I applaud him.
indeed cookie
I second that comment cookie. But, FPL-wise, he’s destroying one of our favorite players. That’s saddening..Anyways, I wouldn’t mind Sterling getting similar returns as long as I own him. ::-):
Agree with this comment Cookie Pep is a very good manager & he can still win the league.
It will be lot more interesting nk season after this under his belt & he has addresses his defence & possibly a few other positions, his style is starting to show 😉
Just read this re Pep also…very classy
