Live Match Chat Gameweek 25 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 25 FPL News: There are just 14 weeks left now. Four or five of those will involve irregular fixtures due to either double or blank GW’s and will probably shape your FPL season. This isn’t one of those. That’s not to say this one isn’t a game changer. Or is it? Just ask Lukaku owners this week. Or indeed non owners… We hope you find your Lukaku this week. It probably won’t be Lukaku though… Doubles, blanks or neither – Lukaku was proof that every week matters. This one begins with Arsenal looking to revive any faint hopes of a title challenge at home to an ever improving Hull. Five games follow at 3pm including the man himself travelling to Middlesbrough. Saturday is rounded off nicely with a biggie as Liverpool host Spurs. Sunday begins with an intriguing one as Burnley’s amazing home record is put to the ultimate test as Chelsea swagger into town. Later on Swansea will look to get their recent revival back on track against a beleaguered Leicester side. Our GW doesn’t end there though as we have a Monday game this week which sees Bournemouth try to stop the latest phenomenon that is Jesus of Manchester. Good luck this week and please feel free to join us as ever as the action unfolds and post your thoughts, comments and feelings as the points (hopefully) roll in for you.

Happy Valentines Day, my FPL loves :kissheart:
Sh!t. Didn’t get you anything.
*runs to 24-hour garage*
Great, hobnobs and a bottle of Black Tower
OK so Black Tower is gonna have to be Googled. . . .
That shows you have class GP – I’m impressed.
Don’t worry Cookie, I know what it is
haha you probably prefer it to Guinness
It’s nice to see some green arrows again, got a decent score of 76 and moved up a bit in main ML.
Now the long wait begins until the next gameweek comes around.
Any early thoughts to owners of Sanchez and Zlat?
I’m thinking to sell Zlat and let Sanchez ride the bench
Hey Photek, nice score pal!
At this stage I’m thinking of selling Alexis and keeping Zlatan as I want Zlatan for GW27 vs Bournemouth.
Cookie are you not bothered about the price difference in SP and BP?
Zlat you can sell for 11.5 and buy back for 11.5 but you’ll only get 11.4 for Sanchez when it will cost you 11.8 to get back in.
Doesn’t bother me at all Photek, all about points rather than values at this stage for me
Romelu Lukaku is injured, with a calf injury.
The striker has not travelled with the squad to their training camp in Dubai – instead he will travel to Belgium to see a doctor in the hope of being passed fit for GW26 home to Sunderland.
Everton say the injury is ‘not serious’ and, at this stage, expect him to be fit for GW26.
So some managers planning ahead of ibra and Sanchez bin or to bench, in concern for buying them back for more than they have sold. ibra has already dropped in price and Sanchez due tonight. With this being said would selling them early not make perfect sense as when u buy back Sanchez at least he could be around same price as we bought him?
Thoughts?
I alrwady sold ibra and will probably sell Sanchez tonight, i have him from the get go so have made alot of value off hin
Charl, the problem with these early transfers is the amount of Cup games being played before GW26 – plus Champions League and Europa. Basically we won’t know what state our squad is in until after the Europa games on Thursday week. Plus of course the Cup draw will have taken place so GW28 will be clearer….plus there is the chance that Liverpool vs Leicester may be postponed if Leicester draw at Millwall.
. . . . apart from that go for it!
It’s a minefield isn’t it?
Cookie, i am 100% with you! And fully agree, i am not one for early transfers so will weigh up my options, the weekend cup games will give us a clearer picture i suppose
Hey guys random noob question – can the value of a player drop 0.6 until next GW? Or will it be blocked at 0.3 even though the next GW is 2 weeks away. Sometimes I forget and when in doubt better ask…because I convince myself there are no stupid questions!!!
Exactly KFC, better to ask! Values can only rise or fall by a maximum of 0.3 between GAMEWEEKS.
Cheers Cookie! Weight off my shoulders this! Gonna keep King Zlatan then! 😉 Looking forward to seing him live destroying St Etienne in 2 days! How are things? Had a good GW or did the poohpooh hit the fan?
49pts KFC, not great and lost ground to me ML leader who had Pedro, Sterling and Kun…..bit annoying. Then again I am better placed for 28 than he is, though he has a 77pt cushion. Looking for a good few weeks hopefully.
How was your game-week mate?
St Etienne will be good – hopefully the lads turn it on for you!
56 points so I am satisfied – did not lose ground to anybody direct rival in my league! Sterling saved me! Captain Zlatan could have made it a wonderful week had he not missed his 2-3 big chances!
And also much more prepared for the next 2 GW – or os I think! I have a feeling I overthink things too much and could instead just do last minute subs for nearly the same result!
Overloading with players from teams who play GW 28 could hurt especially if we need to buy back players our rivals already have! Really don’t know if I should try to get 10 players playing for GW28 or leave it at 7-8 like the average? What are your thoughts on this? (and if there already has been a debate you can just send me over to it haha)!
We have an article coming out in the next day or so, which includes a look at GW28, so don’t want to pre-empt what is said there, apart from to say, I’d concentrate on quality rather than quantity for GW28……look at those players who could really make a difference rather than maxing out on WBA and Bournemouth etc….
Do you have a sneak peak trailer to that article? haha!
Yeah makes sense! Anyways 95% of us won’t have 11 players unless the FA cup brings about a few good upsets and we have the likes of Spurs players we can buy or Chelsea (yeah right!!)!
Looking forward for that article that will undoubtedly make me overthink some more…
Morning chaps (& a very happy Valentines day)
I’m in a mini free fall, and I’m not a fan ha.
I was running away with my mini league early in the season, making positive changes, climbing the rankings on the weekly.
Now, I’ve been pegged back, not been as aggressive as I was – struggling to maintain my FPL philosophy whilst all around me caves in…
This is where my boys and girls come in (this beautiful site)
My team, obviously has issues, but what do we all think?
3.4 in the bank, with 0 transfers left (did Mane and Costa in for Sanchez & Ibra) – told you I wanted to be more aggressive.
Save wildcard? O utilise now with the future in mind?
Thanks guys
50shades, your team looks good for this week, but what is clear is that you are short for GW28. Therefore after GW26, focus on those playing in GW28….Siggy, Lukaku etc etc….
Hey 50! I would let as is for now! And like Cookie mentioned plan for GW28. Don’t think you should use your wildcard now…would seem as a bit of waste of your 2 FTs you have been saving up!
But then again – cup games and europa could change all that – if you have 5 new injuries maybe. If not – just plan for GW28 slowly but surely !
