Live Match Chat Gameweek 27 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 27 FPL News: We are off!! Can you say goal-fest? Well, that is what managers who are backing Ibra and the newly minted Mickey Mouse Cup champions are hoping for, when United host the shambolic defending of the Cherries. After United put 5 on Bournemouth in the lunch time kick-off, we see five 3pm fixtures follow that. Leicester won’t have it as easy as they did last week vs LFC as they face Hull this week, Stoke and Boro match up in a fixture that a sadist might make someone watch. If that last fixture isn’t enough to bore someone to death, perhaps Swans vs Burnley on tape delay? If you have enough time, make sure to also check out Watford take on the Saints and The Baggies square off against Palace. That might be the worst package of five fixtures I have ever seen that start at the same time. If you somehow made it without jumping off a bridge to the last game of the day, congratulations. Luckily, the 5:30 game promises a bit more talent and two teams desperate for a result. When the Wenger In/Out crew tangles with perennial trolls Liverpool. That one should be fun and full of angst for both set of fans.
Sunday sees two fixtures. In what hopefully is the fixture of the week, Spurs tangle with the Toffees. These two are both in great form and bring star power with a Kane vs Lukaku match-up. In the late game, Sunderland welcome in City. The Black Cats who sit bottom need a result badly and City who are on the up, will be a very difficult home game, well, unless Pep does Peppy things and rotates his team into a loss.
Monday caps the game-week off when The Hammers host Chelsea. West Ham usually gives CFC some trouble at home, winning 2 of the last 4. So maybe this could be more entertaining than it appears on paper.

Still deciding between Siggy & Llorente or Siggy & Carroll combo for next week…
Siggy and Llorente, still doubt over the level of fitness for Carroll
if that is my situation, absolutely siggy & llronte
How far should I go with this lot? I don’t want GW28 to leave me with a weakened squad, i.e. too many Swansea players!
1) Sterling to Siggy
2) Ibra to Llorente
3) A defender to Maguire
Anything I’ve missed? Are hits necessary?
My main focus after GW28 will be Kane.
Thanks.
Those moves look good banjo
Which?! 😉 surely not all 3 for -8!
I do all 3, you get players active in the GW
Really? Is it not slightly counterproductive to bring in 2 attacking Swansea players and a Hull defender? Especially for 2 hits?! Would you want to be stuck with a Swansea double up for the future?
I’d do the first two. Then that should leave you enough cash following week to do Llorente to Kane
Thanks Smash. It seems a little scary to take a hit on double Swansea!
Yep very. I kind of hate it but this week is really lacking so there ain’t a lot of options. Bournemouth and Boro ain’t bad games after if you end up snookered after
Forgot to say, 1FT and 1.0 ITB.
I’d defo do the first two. You can justify the third in so much as it’s only a -2 assuming he gets you 2 minimum and if it’s for Holgate you’re shipping a non player for a regular player who you may get some use out of. If it was Brunt or GMachine then I’d be more for it
Thanks Init. I see your logic. I’m reluctant to bring in any more baggies defence, as Foster’s been annoying me (although McAuley’s a different matter). Maguire has been getting forward a lot, and Hull’s fixtures are favourable. I’m tempted to ditch Pieters. Not only to save a little funds, but also as Stoke have some tough fixtures coming up – and there’s a tiny chance Holgate plays. I think you’re talking me in to back-to-back double hits!!!
Sounds like you’re talking yourself into it!
But yeah, you don’t have Baggies for cleanies so Foster is the worst of theirs. Lazy bugger never goes up for corners or even takes them
Everton conceded 3 goals. Might be a chance of Holgate getting a start
Not all 3 for sure banjo as Hull and Swansea players contradict. I’ve done Sterling to Siggy, still unsure myself of whether to take a hit for Aguero to Llorente
Evening all.
Suggestions for this lot.?
Only got 6 next week will have to take few hits.
Was going to do kun to lukaku, but now got Ibra problem.
Any ideas.?
1ft. 0.1 in the bank.
You need Lukaku. Ibra to Lukaku, simples.
Ibra to Lukaku and Sterling to Firmino/Coutinho
Ibra to Lukaku and maybe a playing defender for Amat on the same principle I just said to Banjo above about Holgate.
Cheers guys. Firminho interesting seeing he is basically a forward
Hazard goal
Wish it was Costa or Alonso but when Pedro played it to him I know he would finish
If west ham had let snoddy take the free kick it’d be 1-0 west ham and I’d be laughing 😉
I know he won’t win it but IMO Kante is player of the season!
What a fantastic player
+1, such an important player, but never the sort to get that kind of accolade.
Best player in the league. This season and last season.
Chelsea’s counter provided further N’Golo Kante proof ?? https://t.co/nSnQnz2RZ8
Mitro
Couldn’t agree more mate. You actually burn calories just watching him!
I could see him winning the football writers player of the year but maybe not the main one.
Thinking about it, I reckon he’ll get the main one this year. Who else would you have in there? Hazard? Costa? Zlatan? He beats them all for consistency. Usually his type of player would never win it, but (especially after his heroics last year) I reckon he’ll get it this season.
Listening to 5Live talking about that exact thing and they all think Kante is pretty nailed on to win PFA and FWA
Lots of talk about how Conte is responsible for Chelsea’s success this year and of course he has changed the formation and made Moses a wing back etc, but….it is Kante who is the key difference from last season.
Far and away the most important player to their team
Didn’t Conte sign him 😉
I agree totally, I actually think he may take both awards this season. I also wouldn’t underestimate the difference Luiz has made. He’s matured from something of a comical ball playing defender into a no nonsense defender but he still does it with class and style. Tonight was a perfect example. You wouldn’t have known Carroll was playing such was his efficiency in dealing with him, mainly through anticipation and timing.
+1
3-way tie for the 3bps. Not often that happens
