Live Match Chat Gameweek 27 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 27 FPL News: We are off!! Can you say goal-fest? Well, that is what managers who are backing Ibra and the newly minted Mickey Mouse Cup champions are hoping for, when United host the shambolic defending of the Cherries. After United put 5 on Bournemouth in the lunch time kick-off, we see five 3pm fixtures follow that. Leicester won’t have it as easy as they did last week vs LFC as they face Hull this week, Stoke and Boro match up in a fixture that a sadist might make someone watch. If that last fixture isn’t enough to bore someone to death, perhaps Swans vs Burnley on tape delay? If you have enough time, make sure to also check out Watford take on the Saints and The Baggies square off against Palace. That might be the worst package of five fixtures I have ever seen that start at the same time. If you somehow made it without jumping off a bridge to the last game of the day, congratulations. Luckily, the 5:30 game promises a bit more talent and two teams desperate for a result. When the Wenger In/Out crew tangles with perennial trolls Liverpool. That one should be fun and full of angst for both set of fans.
Sunday sees two fixtures. In what hopefully is the fixture of the week, Spurs tangle with the Toffees. These two are both in great form and bring star power with a Kane vs Lukaku match-up. In the late game, Sunderland welcome in City. The Black Cats who sit bottom need a result badly and City who are on the up, will be a very difficult home game, well, unless Pep does Peppy things and rotates his team into a loss.
Monday caps the game-week off when The Hammers host Chelsea. West Ham usually gives CFC some trouble at home, winning 2 of the last 4. So maybe this could be more entertaining than it appears on paper.

Hi Team,
attached my current squad.
planning to own pedro, gabbidiani , 1 liv mid and 1 whu
Had to own 1 LIV mid and WHU mid this week to gain good points.
who should I choose among them:
LIV – Coutinho, Firmino or Mane
WHU – Antonio, Lanzini , Feghouli or Ayew
Pedro and Gabby I will buy GW 29 or later.
forgt snodgrass
Projected Team attached
I I’d get Two pool mids. Mane and Firminho.
2 Liverpool Mids makes sense. Could also be Mane and Coutinho but all 3 are good options.
No need to get Pedro and Gabbiadini this week
Lanzini got into good positions vs Chelsea and obviously scored which will help his confidence.
I thought that Snodgrass was starting to look more comfortable in the West Ham team in the game this week.
But I’d still go 2 Pool Mids
thanks guys.Pedro and Gabby is for GW 29.Will wait till Friday to apply Liv changes…Will it be any price increase before friday?
No idea on price changes. I check fplstatistics but some odd things have been coming up recently as others have noted
Morning all I see Kane went up Sanchez went down last night even though the don’t play this GW just dosent make sense when Kun & Stirling over 150% transfers in
Lots of Ibra sellers may be helping Kane. Some people don’t look at the fixtures (see above posts) and some may be reacting quickly to avoid price changes.
Silvers they have put in a new rule for dgws. I guess they need to reach 200 percent to rise.. speaking of that they might have I introduced something for the blank gameweek too.
Cool I can’t afford anything always 0.1 short.
You can always afford something. It just might not be what you want…
What does your team look like?
Morning
So what is everyone’s plans for this GW? How many players will you be going with?
Morning Mitro,
Thinking of playing “rush goalie”
I can have 10 outfielders with only one hit
I like it! 😉
Leprechaun, question for you given as I have a similar keeper dilemma – thoughts on a sneaky -4 for Mignolet? Burnley score way less than 1 a game away and Liverpool are just about sub 1 a game conceded at home. It’s small apples but could be worth a +2 gain at least, or -2 loss at worst. Feels like if ever there was a home game to do it for it’s this. In my case I’d only be losing Pickford anyway plus Migs is cheap.
Init, go back to bed, you’re still drunk
+1 😉
Either that or he’s not drunk enough!!
If he was any more drunk he’ll be buying Matip as well !!
Hmmm, probably not Init, for a few reasons
– Liverpool are so often sloppy at the back that a Burnley goal is v likely
– Mig is more expensive than Pickford (“were” you drinking last night? ) so you give up cash
– you have Lloris so will sit with Mig on the bench until at least you wildcard
– if you have 8 or more this week with only one hit, I think you are already in good shape
And more importantly, you will want Pickford for Sunderland’s DGW whenever that may be. Not worth wasting a transfer.
All good points Leprechaun, thank you. Always worth churning over some (mad) ideas!
Yes, to Cookie’s point
What about selling Sterling & Holebras for Coutinho & Mawson?
Last week I saw a posting from INIT which seemed to say there was a way whereby one could see what transfers a ML player had made, before the close down time for that GW. Perhaps it was just seeing cash ITB change. Anyway can anybody clarify this please

Still cheating Mitro?!
Dam right!! 😉
I don’t use it. Only time I think it’ll be overly useful is for the final game or two and only if you’re defending a slim lead and want to use blocking tactics.
Or indeed vice versa.
Plus you need to have the premium package on there or whatever it’s called. Good thing is we have Mitro who had it so you can always just ask him to check it for you 😉
Lol
+1
Everyone seems to be fixated on maximising the number of players they can field in GW28! The more I look at the more I reckon this GW will count for very little. If we look at each fixture
Bournemouth v West Ham – Two poor teams. Although looking at Bournemouth’s recent home form v West Ham’s away it might be worth picking up a West Ham attacker.
Everton v West Brom – At this stage nearly all of us will have an Everton defender & Lukaku plus at least one West Brom defender. Something has to give here as it will take at least a 2-2 draw with the likes of Coleman, Lukaku, McAuley & Brunt scoring for this to go well. Given Everton’s home form and West Brom’s away I can’t see the baggies getting anything out of this.
Hull v Swansea – Everyone has Siggy and we’re all considering Llorente but Hull have only conceded 4 in their last 4 home games so I envisage this being a relatively tight game.
Liverpool v Burnley – All of a sudden everyone wants two Liverpool mids but I’m not sure it’s necessary. I’ll be amazed if Liverpool don’t struggle against Burnley on Sunday. It’s Mane or Firmino for me.
So I reckon the key players for this week are Coleman/Lukaku/West Ham attacker/Siggy/Mane…In my opinion if you have these players you should do ok this week. I certainly wouldn’t want anything more than a -4 this week.
Kop,
It is true that the fixtures may not result in big scores unless their are a few defenders getting goals/assists.
Coleman, Lukaku, Siggy – tick those boxes
Liverpool’s run to the season end looks good which may be a good reason to get 2 Mids.
With West Ham, I think one of Lanzini, Antonio or Snoddy should be ok. That said, if Carroll plays he could get a hatful….wait a minute, has he ever gotten a hatful?? First time for everything I suppose. I still cannot believe that Liverpool bought him
For other sides inside the top 6 it would be a good run of fixtures but as we’ve seen time & time again this season Liverpool struggle against weaker opposition who will just sit back.
They didn’t just buy him they broke the bank for him. When I saw the fee and the words Newcastle in the headline I honestly thought they’d bought the club
