Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 FPL News: Anyone else bored of these international breaks just when the season is hotting up to it’s conclusion? Don’t worry, it was rhetorical, and anyway we’d assume a massive majority in favour of the answer “Yes!”. It’s full throttle ahead from here until the end though, and it should be fun as we have double game-weeks coming at us left right and centre. DGW34 was announced last week, although that one looks a bit damp given the teams involved. DGW37 should be a bonanza though with plenty to choose from. There will also be another mini DGW in either 35 or 36. This week is your standard fair with 10 games square and we begin with a Merseyside derby at lunchtime on Saturday. This is followed by six 3pm games with all of Spurs, Chelsea and Man United featuring. Saturday is concluded as it begun with another local derby which sees Southampton welcome Bournemouth. Sunday concludes our game-week with two games beginning with Swansea hosting Middlesbrough in a relegation scrap and then we have possibly the game of the weekend as Arsenal welcome Man City.

DGW34 IS ON THERE AS CONFIRMED BUT DGW37 IS VERY MUCH PROVISIONAL!
That’s our best guess as to how it will pan out and there is still Southampton vs Arsenal to be rearranged. That looks likely to be in GW35 or 36. The FPL site itself has said that they expect the remaining games to be confirmed on or around the 7th April.

Who would u buy for Mane? Sanchez, Hazard or Coutinho?

Hey guys, how’s it going? How did you make out today? Some green arrows I hope! So I know a lot will depend on tomorrow’s matches, but do you think getting Sanchez in for Mane is more important than someone like Alli? Sanchez would require a -4 hit and replacing Alonso/Aguero most likely to raise a little money, Alli I can get with my 1FT. Just wondering if people think Sanchez is an absolute MUST for the matches leading up the the DGWs. Thinking Spurs have some nice looking matches on the horizon and Alli can keep pace with Sanchez in the next 4. What do you think?

      theswirly says:

Hey Red, just keep it simple and get Alli. If you do, do that tonight because it looks like Mane is going down in price, while the Spurs man is going up. I’ve just made that exact transfer in fact!

      • RedVT says:

Hey Swirly, good to see you on the boards. Thanks for your thoughts, that’s pretty much how I’m leaning right now. Really don’t like making transfers this early but that .2 price swing may force my hand.

Cheers mate, it’s good to be back. Yeah, I’m not a fan of early transfers either but there are only two games left and the next round is Tuesday, so I don’t feel too bad!

Hey Red! All good here! Made the top 25 K so hopefully tomorrow won’t let me down with Sanchez cappo and a few more to go. Regarding your question…it will be tough having both Aguero and Sanchez unless you destroy your team. I looooved Kun (only FPL wise of course) but for this money he is not worth it yet (see him score 3 tomorrow and make me eat my words). Sanchez looks maybe not a MUST but a very important player especially since the gunners only have the league to play for now. I would rather have him than Kun in my team. Think Sanchez will outscore Alli.

      • RedVT says:

Hey Kung Fu, congrats on some good scoring man! Hopefully you bring some big points in tomorrow too. I’ve still got Aguero and Siggy (c) to play so I’m hoping for a few more points myself. I’d definitely like to get Sanchez at some point, just not sure if I can justify a hit for it when I can get Alli for free. Really wish it wouldn’t cost me .2 to wait until after the matches tomorrow, but it’s looking like Mane and Alli will both change tonight.

        • Brookyboy says:

Red at this stage of the season i seriousley wouldnt be worrying about .1m or .2m price changes.Wait till tomorrows games are over then make your decision.

        • RedVT says:

I would normally agree with this 100% Brooky, but I’ve only got enough players to put 11 out if my starters are all playing. I’ve had literally no bench for like, well, forever it seems. Mane’s gotta go for sure, and it’s really Alli I want- even over Sanchez. If Aguero gets crocked tomorrow or Siggy does, I’ll just have to bring in Ibra/Vardy/whoever or someone for Siggy for a hit. The only downside I can see by going early is if Sanchez scores a hat trick or something and I wish I got him instead of Alli. But that would still cost me -4 instead of Alli for free. Not sure if that makes total sense or not but that my thinking anyway! laugh

This MLS malarkey is bugging me. 2 weeks on the run midfield or forward have provided 2 assists and got no attacking bonus. What else do they have to do for a point!! In FPL an assist and a cleanie gets you 3.

They’re usually quite free flowing in that respect and it’s the reason I prefer their scoring system. Sounds like you just got unlucky as I’ve had a few so don’t think the system has changed.

Hey peeps! Eriksen or Alli for Mane??? I do not know why I got a little preference for Eriksen… got a sneaky feeling he might outscore Alli in the next few GW’s…is it me or is it me?

I’m not suprised no ones mentioned Firmino to replace Mane he seems more consistent than Coutinho to me. Overall lousy week so far no ones performing.

      inittowinit says:

That’s the Liverpool merry go round for you. Probably switch again next week when it’s Firmino’s turn and he gets a brace against Bournemouth. Going on bare facts though Coutinho looked the business today. As did Mane before he got that unfortunate injury. I barely noticed Firmino. Normally that’d be called ‘form’ but this is Liverpool and it’s fickle as to which one shows it each week. Just have to suck it up when you have the ‘wrong’ one on that week I guess.
