Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 FPL News: Time to get excited folks. Come on now, who doesn’t love a midweek FPL game-week?! 10 games, 2 days, bish bash bosh. No messing about. No waiting for Friday’s early KO (yep, remember them? They’re coming back to a screen near you soon…) and then having it all drag on until Monday evening. Midweek FPL gets the job done like Joe Pesci in a bar room. We start with 4 games games on Tuesday with the main FPL highlights probably being Heaton attempting to single-handedly thwart Stoke, Vardy attempting to Party against Sunderland, Watford wondering how to stop McAuley and Ibra finally being unleashed once more. Wednesday brings a quick conclusion with the Wenger banners being readied, ‘Boro in ‘not scoring shocker’, Big Sam furthering his England manager claims, Spurs beating the crap out of Swansea, Chelsea putting the title to bed and then finises with a Liverpool midfielder posting a huge score against Bournemouth. The only question being which one…

As ever, post your comments and enjoy the games. Together.

DGW34 IS ON THERE AS CONFIRMED BUT DGW37 IS VERY MUCH PROVISIONAL!
That’s our best guess as to how it will pan out and there is still Southampton vs Arsenal to be rearranged. That looks likely to be in GW35 or 36. The FPL site itself has said that they expect the remaining games to be confirmed on or around the 7th April.

Teams with DGW’s ahead… (with thanks to Rosco)

    Lukaku is doing that trolling thing where he doesn’t score for weeks at a time… meanwhile Vardy is on the up.
    Anyone doing a straight swap?

    What to do here then chaps, 3mill ITB.

    The original plan was to ship out lukaku to Ibra but given Jose’s comments about possible rotation and Lukaku’s fixtures looking more attractive I’m not so sure anymore.

    Similar issues here with respect too the next GW. I want Sanchez and Aguero but do nto want to sell Ibra cuz of the DGW’s and also dont want to sell Lukaku cuz he has great fixtures coming up. Any ideas ? Got my team attached.

    Afternoon All :coffee:

    Still cannot recover from yesterday’s last min kamikaze move done by Williams…
    Cost e 10pts !!

    Never mind, upwards and onwards…
    What would be the ideal replacement for Williams ?
    Walker & BigMac are my other 2 defenders…

      DMC says:

      To be fair HL, he’d probably conceed and lose his CS + 3 bps anyway so you’re just looking at the -3 itself. It’s more the fact that you now have to transfer him out that should bug Williams owners. I would get Fuchs in his place, which is what I did two weeks back.

      • HL [Dr. Hannibal Lecter] says:

        @DMC – thanks, mate…
        EVE & ARS away in the next 3 does not look ideal for Fuchs, tbh…

        @Brooky & Colonel :
        Middlesbrough – do they have a defence at all smile :

        • DMC says:

          It’s a fair point that one HL but inform players in inform teams have proven us time and time again that fixtures don’t matter that much. Fuchs is probably the best left back in the league and he’s a bps magnet when in form because of his crosses (not to mention the assists themselfes and the odd goal). I do see what you mean in terms of buying now as opposed to simply play him in those games if you already have him, but, quite frankly, who’s out there, in form and with better fixtures in the next two?
          Unless you want to prepare for dgw34. In that case Bally could come into the equation.

        • HL [Dr. Hannibal Lecter] says:

          DMC – I agree, mate…
          Not much choice out there…
          Which is why I asked for advice 😉 …
          Yep, “buying now as opposed to simply play him in those games if you already have him” fact holds water…and this is why I probably won’t get him in…
          As for the best back in the league – I would prefer Bertrand over him, tbh…just don’t have the funds to buy him (0.1mil short)

          So, maybe I’m insane – but I was thinking of getting someone like Stones or Lovren…
          Ok, I ll get my coat and show myself out the door… smile

      Not sure on your bench but you could bring in a Middlesbrough defender in for the dgw in 34 ?
