Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 FPL News: After a sensational Alvaro Negredo display in DGW 34, we head into a buffer of sorts. With doubles in 34, 36 and 37, this GW we can relax a little, sort of. We kick it off with four 3pm fixtures. It is pure excitement when the low scoring Saints tangle with a difficult opponent to not score on, Hull. It should be a test of wills to see who underperforms more, the Saints attack or the Hull defence. If you think that doesn’t offer enough to make you fall asleep, perhaps a taste of Stoke vs West Ham? Over the last 10 matches these two are 16th in 17th in points and have scored 20 goals combined over those 10×2 games. Yeah, a goal a game. So snooze should be on the loose in this one. For those that don’t need a mid afternoon nap, I present to you Sunderland vs Bournemouth. This could provide us with comedy gold, in particular on defence, as neither team attempts to play any. The last of the opening 4 fixtures sees West Brom welcome in Leicester, yeah, moving on. In the 5:30 game Palace hosts those away stars, Burnley. With 3 draws in their last 6 away games, think we can say they are in-form, perhaps I will place a bet on them.
Luckily after enduring a Saturday of not having any real footy to watch and feeling properly rested, we come to Sunday. Yes, yes, yes, yes…sorry was watching when Harry met Sally orga, errrr, restaurant scene. Where were we at? Oh yes, Sunday footy. Lunch time sees the battle for fourth resume, as United tangles with a Swansea side who also has a lot to play for. Both teams in need of a win, will hopefully lead to some goals, maybe, Jose is capable of sucking the fun out of any game, so be aware. That is followed by two 2pm-ish encounters. Boro and their vaunted attack will look to score some goals, well, a goal vs City. City’s fans (player’s families) will want to get out of that red velvet sandwich they are currently caught in with LFC one point ahead and United one point behind tickling their tuckus. We also see Lukaku’s former and future employer Chesea visit Goodison looking to inch closer to the title. CFC has slowly let Spurs crawl back into the race, so they can break their hearts again at the end. In the last Sunday fixture we have the possibility of pure joy. We see the possibility of killing 2 dreams with one stone. When Spurs face Arsenal only one result would do us right. A loss for Tottenham would all but end Spurs title dreams to their bitter rivals and hopefully such a result would lead to a new contract for Wenger. Sounds like a win-win to me.
Monday finishes off the GW with Watford hosting Liverpool. Should be a very predictable game. If City and United win expect LFC to do also, If either of the Manchester sides drop points expect LFC to. If there is one thing we know is that if LFC is given an opportunity, they let it slip away.
Please join us as ever to discuss the games as they happen and share your feelings, successes and woes as the action unfolds and hopefully the FPL points flood in for you.

cheers Raz.
Where is TJ by the way? So many changes as of late. No NiN, no TJ, no ”The B”, and probably no a lot of other people I forgot. :p
Cheers Raz, I guess today’s all about the relegation battle with all the top teams going tomorrow, I might have only the four players going so could be a meh day of Fantasy.
I only have one player today. Not going to enjoy games.Especially Southampton with Gabbi bandwagon can hurt me as I don`t have him.
Looks like Stoke will play 3 at the back. Interesting to see the experiment. Especially how it will impact Allen, Arnautovic and Shaqiri. I have a feeling that Berahino will get great score out of nothing soon. But I can`t see myself bringing any Stoke players this season.
Good luck everyone!
Anyone else activating wildcard now, no matter whut? :p
Just did haha, who do you all think are going to be the big price risers this week? At the moment I’m not concerned about what my final squad will be just wanna try catch some price rises! I already brought in stephens, jesus, sane, hazard and gabriel.
probably Caballero
Will activate mine tonight Raz
I would…
But I don’t have a WC left !!
What did Cookie say?
Sorry, thought we were playing jeopardy
Hey Mito
Haven’t seen you on the boards since Madrid lost the El Classico !!
Wonder why 😉 …
p.s. watching the Valencia game right now, so couldn’t resist…sorry 😉
yep – just did an initial – what would it look like there. Have a few players that will lose a bit on so just need to be sure they dont make the cut (Lukaku for example) before I hit trf. Likely to be mainly “template” team I’d imagine. We will all lose or win together.
Raz,
This is the obvious GW to activate the WC. Many on the site (including me) will go for it as will many others. It’s a no-brainer if you have not already burnt it (sorry Cookie and Mitro).
The early games this week are all looking close…..and boring!!!!
Chips, Capos etc…
no sign of Coutinho which could be great or crazy
Even as a Liverpool fan, I did not understand the love for Coutinho as captain. Happy to be wrong of course! I have him anyway but he was never in my thinking for captain.
I’m very happy to see that so many chips have already been played by the top 10k already, gives me hope of finishing in there for the first time, the previous two DGW’s have been very underwhelming though so I’m hopeful that the next two are more of a bonanza.
Hi Andy,
What is your rank now? I hope you get in the top 10k.
It is a big achievement
9000ish but theirs only a 36 point gap back to the top 25k, looks like the chips (and how you use them) could be the decider this season.
12.7% dead teams, confirmed. We are competing with just 87.3% of the teams.
It’s a lot more than that, 40% of teams haven’t made a transfer since GW 32 and I reckon another 5-10% of the active teams are the one week fliers who chase the GW prize.
God, why again did I cappo a player from a lower tier team again? Gabbi who? I can’t even pronounce his name. The last 10 times I did this, it always failed. Most recently cappo Negredo. 😉
Shit, shit,, shit. Only thing Gabbi did in first half was stand offside a few times. I know, just 1 right pass. But damn. Doesn’t look good. WHY JOOST!? Why pick him? Why not just go boring and do Firminho or Sanchez?
Because you are a risk taker Raz?
Hows this lot looking for a WC ?
Nice, except that I’d like Sanchez in there.
What about Redmond/King to Capoue/Ndong/Albrighton, and then scratch the missing cash by downgrading Blind or Courtois?
Two DGW of Arsenal without Sanchez would be quite a risk…
Of course all that would be to do Özil to Sanchez.
Elle. Too much money in GKs. get Pickford for Coutois.Use the balance to upgrade Evans. DOn’t fancy brom fixtures in DGW. Also, Morgan could be changed to someone better like Rose? He’ll be fit by then.
I agree – best to choose a GK that you want and stick with him
