Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 FPL News
Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 FPL News: After a sensational Alvaro Negredo display in DGW 34, we head into a buffer of sorts. With doubles in 34, 36 and 37, this GW we can relax a little, sort of. We kick it off with four 3pm fixtures. It is pure excitement when the low scoring Saints tangle with a difficult opponent to not score on, Hull. It should be a test of wills to see who underperforms more, the Saints attack or the Hull defence. If you think that doesn’t offer enough to make you fall asleep, perhaps a taste of Stoke vs West Ham? Over the last 10 matches these two are 16th in 17th in points and have scored 20 goals combined over those 10×2 games. Yeah, a goal a game. So snooze should be on the loose in this one. For those that don’t need a mid afternoon nap, I present to you Sunderland vs Bournemouth. This could provide us with comedy gold, in particular on defence, as neither team attempts to play any. The last of the opening 4 fixtures sees West Brom welcome in Leicester, yeah, moving on. In the 5:30 game Palace hosts those away stars, Burnley. With 3 draws in their last 6 away games, think we can say they are in-form, perhaps I will place a bet on them.
Luckily after enduring a Saturday of not having any real footy to watch and feeling properly rested, we come to Sunday. Yes, yes, yes, yes…sorry was watching when Harry met Sally orga, errrr, restaurant scene. Where were we at? Oh yes, Sunday footy. Lunch time sees the battle for fourth resume, as United tangles with a Swansea side who also has a lot to play for. Both teams in need of a win, will hopefully lead to some goals, maybe, Jose is capable of sucking the fun out of any game, so be aware. That is followed by two 2pm-ish encounters. Boro and their vaunted attack will look to score some goals, well, a goal vs City. City’s fans (player’s families) will want to get out of that red velvet sandwich they are currently caught in with LFC one point ahead and United one point behind tickling their tuckus. We also see Lukaku’s former and future employer Chesea visit Goodison looking to inch closer to the title. CFC has slowly let Spurs crawl back into the race, so they can break their hearts again at the end. In the last Sunday fixture we have the possibility of pure joy. We see the possibility of killing 2 dreams with one stone. When Spurs face Arsenal only one result would do us right. A loss for Tottenham would all but end Spurs title dreams to their bitter rivals and hopefully such a result would lead to a new contract for Wenger. Sounds like a win-win to me.
Monday finishes off the GW with Watford hosting Liverpool. Should be a very predictable game. If City and United win expect LFC to do also, If either of the Manchester sides drop points expect LFC to. If there is one thing we know is that if LFC is given an opportunity, they let it slip away.
Please join us as ever to discuss the games as they happen and share your feelings, successes and woes as the action unfolds and hopefully the FPL points flood in for you.

Hey hang on walker gets his clean sheet bonus doesn’t he?
no – he only played a few mins – need 60
$&@&#^!!!
so this is my wc draft as it stands.
Want to go Gabbi to Jesus. Only have 0.5 itb. Happy to move Costa to Vardy but still short
Any thoughts?
and the team
Lose Cech…..
For who Brooky?
Maybe Cech to Willy so you can gain $$$ for Gabi to Jesus?
Doesnt give enough HL
Agree with the above, I’d consider Vertonghen over Alonso to free up the rest of the cash if needed.
So Costa to Vardy
Cech to Cab
Gabb to Jesus
Alonso to Vert
so it works financially but dont I lose a lot of CS potential particularly on Alonso ?
In theory, looking at the next 4, Chelsea could go to the end now without conceding a goal. I’d expect Spurs to get 2. They could get 4 also though. More difficult games in the middle one for them though, in respect of not conceding.
Chelsea will be solid at the back until they win the league!
It’s a tough choice but if you’re needing to find the 1.5 million between Gabby and Jesus I’d rather take it from the defenders rather than the mids, another way could be Sanchez -> Ozil but that looks far riskier to me than Alonso -> Verts ahead of DGW 36.
so what u recommending there Init and Mitro?
Either sacrifice Alonso…
Or downgrade Sanchez to Wally…
I don’t see any other option, atm…
p.s. if Luiz is injured, maybe risk with Ake ?
How about the following alternative?
Costa to Jesus, leave Gabbadini as is, Yoshida to Azpi.
It keeps Cech and actually gives me 2 Chelsea defenders with the favourable fixtures?
Bench Gabbadini this gw (even though double) then?
Is the beer getting to me or does it make some sense?
Costa/Jesus/Kane is THE ultimate front line one could get !
Add Alexis & Hazard to this – > you ll have the Top 5 most wanted players for this DGW.
So, if it was me – I would downgrade everyone I can to get there…
The easiest is Alexis to Walcott…
But you can also try Alli to Erik…maybe
Haz to Pedro
And then
Cech to Cab
Gabb to Jesus
Alonso to Vert
If you ask me I would personally sacrifice Alonso to get there…
I believe there will be a lot of goals in the final GW’s…
But that’s just me…ranked 300K…they guy who chose Negredo over Benteke…don’t listen to me…
59 and I’m done!
I won’t be sticking the armband on any DGW player for GW36!! They are all shit and I hate football
Just Arsenal haha
Chelsea and Spurs look pretty solid right now.
Saying that I expect Sanchez to score well so I think he will be a popular captaincy choice despite his blanks.
Good day for Liverpool though Mitro
I hope Watford smash the grannie out of them tomorrow
I’ve Coutinho captain so hoping for a big haul
No 4th spot this year Mitro?
It’s hard to be a Gunners fan these days, Mitro…
We understand
Kop
Plenty of games left to play! Football is a funny old game…….
Dreamers
I hope he snaps his leg after scoring an own goal
:big-lol:
Mitro, your lot would need to remember how to play football first
Is Sanchez all that?
Last 6 games 18 points?
2,3,2,7,2,2
I need a -8 to get him
Eriksen > Sanchez
Valencia > Gabriel
King > Carrol (Swan)
Yey or ney ?
Why on earth would you want to sell Erik ?
Ney !
Or King?
a massive no
King and Eriksen both in major form
On current form he’s not worth a kick never mind a -8
I’m keeping Sanchez but, with these transfers in your case, it’s a ‘ney’ here too.
Thx
My 3 Amigos at Spurs are smashing it.
Anyone else thinking of bringing in Sanchez?
Sanchez is on my WC and staying there. Unless my oppo moves for Hazard in which case Hazard is on my WC and staying there
Does this imply that you can’t / won’t have both on your WC then?
Can’t get both being realistic James. I would if I could. My TV is relatively low.
I see, well, for me Hazard *has* to be in there for DGW37 but I can understand the ML situation.
Anyone know how serious the injuries to Bailly & Kun are?
Bailly & Kun?
This is all I’ve seen so far mate…
Sources at City say the Argentine is suffering from a dead leg, but Guardiola’s demeanour suggested the issue could be more serious.
Apparent groin injury, though the extent of it remains unknown…
Nothing confirmed on Bailly for now…Looks like he ll be out for the DGW…
Cheers lads. My ML leader brought both of them in on his WC this week.
Happy days then!
Team for GW36 – I suspect I will probably end up changing my cappo!
Mitro – whats ur Gabbiadini plan?
I know they have a DGW but is 2 Southampton players at the back too much when Holgate has a tasty fixture?
Sticking with my saints coverage
Probably play holgate in GW37 though
Come on – you must be considering some trfs
Done it already mate!
Did willy to cech!
Todays performance convince you ya?
It was always the plan! Thought city would keep a clean sheet against boro hence why I brought in willy on my WC! Though cech had a good game and made some great saves
Only messing with you Mitro. Trying to keep Cech in my wc
You will be captaining Sanchez let’s face it
I know and he will probably blank
Yep lol
