Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 37 FPL News: We have finally arrived, the big double. We are not sure on this, but this could be the first time we have ever seen a DGW with at least one game for seven straight days. It is going to be pure excitement and what better way to kick off the double, on a Friday no less, than with two teams who have nothing to play for? We know, pretty exciting. Everton who are locked into 7th hosts Watford who are safe from the drop so as long they don’t concede an insane amount of goals in their last two games, and even then, they are probably still safe. That joy of a fixture is closely followed by The Baggies vs the soon to be champions Chelsea. Pulis and the gang will hopefully make an appearance from the retreat they have been at since late February to see the CFC lads awkwardly hug and kiss Conte as they clinch the title.
Saturday brings us five fixtures. We start with a lunch time affair between City and Leicester. City will be looking to leap frog LFC and get away from the hard chasing Gunners who are making a late charge for their 4th place trophy. That is followed by three 3pm matches. WARNING!! Even your missus will know that these games are sh*te. So just take some time and do what she wants done in this time slot. The Cherries and Burnley square off in what is known in FPL circles as “That game King plays in”… Boro plays their last home game before heading back to where they belong when Southampton visits, and Sunderland unfortunately have to play their games out and take the pitch vs a Swansea team sitting just outside the relegation zone. The late game has The Stokies looking to do us (and probably them) a favour and end Arsenal’s dreams of Champions League qualification.
Sunday has 3 fixtures in store. Palace tangle with Hull at lunch time, The Tigers will be desperate to take something from this as they continue their battle with Swansea for the last safe spot. That is followed by West Ham facing off against a Liverpool side who can almost taste the Champions League, similar to when they could almost taste the title in 13/14. The last fixture sees Spurs vs United, two teams who if results go as expected in the previous games really won’t have much to play for here.
Monday only carries one game. Chelsea and who knows what XI if they are already champions welcome in Watford as both teams complete their DGW.
Tuesday brings us two fixtures and the second game in the GW for all four teams also. Arsenal and hero Arsene Wenger host United legend David Moyes and the soon to be disappearing Black Cats. No worries though, Sunderland fans can rest easy knowing they will have a local team to still support in the Premier League as Newcastle make their way back. In the second fixture of the day City get West Brom, who if you were following earlier, you will already know are well and truly on vacation.
Wednesday also has one fixture. Saints tangle with Man United. The team sheet for this will be interesting to say the least. That is followed by the end of the game-week on Thursday when Spurs travel to Leicester.

Hello there Cookie, fairly happy with today. No Gunners coverage at the back, so I was extremely happy they conceded. But Stevens not playing really sucks. Hoping he’ll play the Soton second game. Took Jags out for Kompany for this week, so that’s not looking too good. Woulda been nice to have those 12 pts in the books. Hindsight is 20/20 though.
On 53 pts and hoping Sanchez is out for their next match even though I have him because of the captaincy stats. Seems everyone around me has him cappo while I have Jesus.
Gonna be interesting how Spurs and Chelsea team sheets look for the rest of the GW…

Happy with my 71 score. Got nothing from Bench Boost though. My topscorer is Carroll with 3 points. HAHA! Pickford has 1, Holgate has 1 and Stephens has 0. The BB curse. If did BB last week I would be sitting on an extra 30 points. 😉
Holgate was really unlucky last night to come off for the one pointer, no way were Watford going to score. 3 points is pretty good for for that Carroll lad, I’ve got them as well.

Only got 5 points with my BB but still ended up with some decent points. Up to 797 OR and #22 in the USA. 40 something points off #1 spot, probably no catching that though!

Thanks Pancho! You’re having a great year too, man. Really amplifies the blunders over the season when you think of the points that were dropped along the way. Kicking myself for a few really obvious mistakes but I suppose that happens to everyone over the course of 38 game weeks!

Yeah I remember playing the sun dream team where u had to ring up and key in the player codes for who u wanted at the start of season. Geremi (flashbk) was a bargain! But u were stuck with them for the entire season.
Now I threat every week about a single transfer and it’s become a hobbie, not going to lie though, I love it !
We’re spoilt now with the interweb n that!! Ha ha

Lollorz. I don’t know what I’ve been doing. NOticed before the gameweek started I was in top 50 k, now almost in top 30k. And I had a terrible second part of the season. Apart from now and I think last week. Right choices at the right time. Redmond, everybody knew he would kill it. 😉

It was a wink. I was pretty pissed though, the luck has been terrible. It’s weird how easy this can change around. Things going your way or everything going against you. IT was literally everything against me and my opponent had everything going for him. When his defender didn’t play he had a 9 pointer waiting on the bench, I had a 1 pointer. Hehe. Him capping the right people,keeping Negredo and Costa that extra week where they outscored everyone.
Anyway, it feels really annoying to lose your minileague after leading it for a year. It’s a bit similar to Feyenoord (the Dutch Liverpool).They have been leading the championship the entire year. They had a shock loss last week against a really weak team from also Rotterdam. Everybody figured they were already champions but they lost 3-0. Like Liverpool they also haven’t won the title for 15+ years. Anyway, tomorrow they are at home up against the team that respresents the hometown where I was born. Anwyay, I hope they win. Ajax won the title often enough. Ooh by the way, Ajax versus Manchester United in the final. I really hope on a Dutch miracle.
What kind of miracle though? I think Manchester United spent more money in 1 or 2 years than Ajax has since the 1970’s. Lol.
Yep, and most of us take the game pretty seriously Raz. I know I get bummed out after a bad week or losing a close H2H when you make a wrong move or your opponent gets super lucky. So I totally understand. Glad your season turned around though, and always like getting the good details of the Eredivisie in your posts. We’ll be expecting dossiers from you on any new Dutch talent/Eredivisie players coming into the FPL next season!

I know mate but it’s not like Holding did such a good job today. He got the same amount of points as Holgate. I wouldn’t be surprised if Holding does not start the next game. And if we are honest, Holgate would have taken those 6+ points home any given day, he was very unlucky to be subbed.
Now I have the extra ft, which could come in handy, the last week, changes need to be made.

Oh yeah Loch Lomond is a must and a personal favourite. I’m walking the West Highland Way just now – Glasgow to Fort William – 95 miles.
