Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 37 FPL News: We have finally arrived, the big double. We are not sure on this, but this could be the first time we have ever seen a DGW with at least one game for seven straight days. It is going to be pure excitement and what better way to kick off the double, on a Friday no less, than with two teams who have nothing to play for? We know, pretty exciting. Everton who are locked into 7th hosts Watford who are safe from the drop so as long they don’t concede an insane amount of goals in their last two games, and even then, they are probably still safe. That joy of a fixture is closely followed by The Baggies vs the soon to be champions Chelsea. Pulis and the gang will hopefully make an appearance from the retreat they have been at since late February to see the CFC lads awkwardly hug and kiss Conte as they clinch the title.

Saturday brings us five fixtures. We start with a lunch time affair between City and Leicester. City will be looking to leap frog LFC and get away from the hard chasing Gunners who are making a late charge for their 4th place trophy. That is followed by three 3pm matches. WARNING!! Even your missus will know that these games are sh*te. So just take some time and do what she wants done in this time slot. The Cherries and Burnley square off in what is known in FPL circles as “That game King plays in”… Boro plays their last home game before heading back to where they belong when Southampton visits, and Sunderland unfortunately have to play their games out and take the pitch vs a Swansea team sitting just outside the relegation zone. The late game has The Stokies looking to do us (and probably them) a favour and end Arsenal’s dreams of Champions League qualification.

Sunday has 3 fixtures in store. Palace tangle with Hull at lunch time, The Tigers will be desperate to take something from this as they continue their battle with Swansea for the last safe spot. That is followed by West Ham facing off against a Liverpool side who can almost taste the Champions League, similar to when they could almost taste the title in 13/14. The last fixture sees Spurs vs United, two teams who if results go as expected in the previous games really won’t have much to play for here.

Monday only carries one game. Chelsea and who knows what XI if they are already champions welcome in Watford as both teams complete their DGW.

Tuesday brings us two fixtures and the second game in the GW for all four teams also. Arsenal and hero Arsene Wenger host United legend David Moyes and the soon to be disappearing Black Cats. No worries though, Sunderland fans can rest easy knowing they will have a local team to still support in the Premier League as Newcastle make their way back. In the second fixture of the day City get West Brom, who if you were following earlier, you will already know are well and truly on vacation.

Wednesday also has one fixture. Saints tangle with Man United. The team sheet for this will be interesting to say the least. That is followed by the end of the game-week on Thursday when Spurs travel to Leicester.

    How did we all get on? If Kane nicks a BP I should be on 80 with potentially 13 to play!

    What’s everyone’s plans for the last GW?

    Coutinho did look quite impressive today!

    • 80 also with up to 13 to play but some dont look as likely.

      Alli may go to free up a spot for Coutinho possibly. With so many to play, bound to be injuries. If Sanchez misses Tuesday and they dont win, he may move on. So many ifs and buts yet I’d say

        • Expect a fair bit of rotation and then probably the cup final team will start on the weekend. With the exception of Terry. Probably in place of Luiz.

    • Hi Mitro, 75 here I believe with 14 left. In theory. That’s a 14 pt gain on 2nd so I’m very happy with it. Probably looking at something approaching a 100 pt lead going into 38. I may even not bother with any cover moves smile

      Not looked at next week yet, but I probably should given that I’m on Capo writing duties for it!

      79 which isn’t too bad, survived not having Kane!
      Got 14 left depending on who plays, if it goes well I might get into 2k which I’m stunned by and very grateful for everything I’ve learned from you guys in the last 14 months!! I’m still learning in this FPL game but I’m chuffed with how I’m doing so far!

    • Evening Mitro et all – on 87 with 15 (that inlcudes Anichebe, so 14 then). Was at 120k after gw33 ended and I’m now on 27k. #climb

    • Don’t really see the need to bring him in on a minus eight in all honesty Bigz, if you think he’s that essential then I just straight swap him for either Haz or Sanchez for the one GW.

      My BB’s been pretty crappy with just the five extra points but on the brighter side it’s four more than you smile Gabby and Stephens may yet bring some better returns so theirs still time.

          Rosco – The Wire is deffo worth is, it’s like reading a book and you need to get into it before really enjoying it and admittedly it starts slow! smile
          While we’re at it, just name dropping 2 greatly entertaining shows: Boardwalk Empire, Peaky Blinders (way too short!).

          Quite a few quality shows out there but yeah take it one at a time! The Wire – then when you are in need of some serious action —> Sons of Anarchy! You are welcome! 😉

        • My top 3 are the Wire, Breaking Bad and Prison Break (first 2 seasons). However love the Sopranos, 24, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones as well

      • I enjoyed Breaking Bad but it’s not a show that grabbed me. I much prefer Better Call Saul although I’m yet the finish the first season. I blame my kids for that.

        • Better Call Saul is quality as well am midway through Season 3 and a bit in love with Jimmy (McGill not McNulty!)- love the way they film it! And way different to Breaking Bad – in some ways better! Oh well – so many good shows out there to forget about…uups I mean to watch with the kids! laugh

        • Haha, I knew he dumped Sane for Silva this week for a hit because ‘Sane didn’t look good’ last week. I was chuckling to myself after the City match and Sane’s big haul.

      • Rosco – most likely scenario is that he now vanishes and then appears under a new name. I may be wrong but don’t think he fits the ‘apologies act’ type.

        • You’re not wrong mate, every time he came back under a new guise it was painfully obvious who it was, he’s incapable of not being a total douche whatever his name.

          A little humility goes a long way, it’s even more imperative on a platform such as this where it’s easy to be misconstrued.

          I think on reflection the suspicions of the vast majority were not without merit.

    • Just to draw a line under all of this sorry saga. Yes he’s been banned, he’s been told officially too. I’d actually argued in his favour prior to this week but then he went to another level and I relented. We asked the whole article writing committee to vote and they were unanimous in their decision. He’s tried to post under numerous usernames. All have been blocked. He’s been asked not to try again, so hopefully the penny drops. If it doesn’t we will consider wider measures. Mito is pricing up flights to Australia as we speak smile

        • I haven’t been on the site so I won’t justify it and don’t want the prize if I remain top wouldn’t feel right and would be against the ethos of the whole idea. I’m sure there are many worthy contributors on this site in the league.

  6. I have 78 (70 after hits) with 13 slated to play. Who knows though, Stephens and Gabbi missed the first round. Sanchez has a flag and may be rotation risk for the rest.

    • Dizzy, that’s a good score. I think many are in the same boat with those players and others. Thou Kent be a problem hitting around 125-150 at this point. Keep the faith! ?
