Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 38 FPL News: And there it was gone! 37 weeks have flashed before your eyes once more. And 38 will do the same as well because all 10 games happen on the same day at the same time. It always seems a bit cruel to have all your FPL hopes and expectations finally decided for you in such a swift fashion. Especially since we’ve all agonised over relatively minor points in game-weeks which have sometimes dragged on for as much as 7 days, as GW37 did. But that’s the way it is. Strap yourself in for a smidgen over 90 minutes. It’ll be agony or ecstasy for many. We hope it works out for you all. It wont. Not for everyone anyway. If it does then feel free to share and celebrate your success. If it doesn’t then know you have friends to share that with too. We’ve all been there and seen both sides of the coin. In a nutshell that is what has made this community great over the years, there’s a mutual understanding and respect and an empathy for whichever way it works out.

As the season comes to a close we would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has been a part of the Live Match Chat discussion throughout the campaign. You make each match day come alive with every comment. It’s been a pleasure to watch each game-week unfold from the eyes of dedicated FPL players but also just football fans in general. The discussions that arise can range from the sublime to the ridiculous but are always entertaining regardless!

Unfortunately we don’t have any World Cup or Euros to entertain and keep us busy over the summer but fear not as we will be staying ‘relatively’ active. We will forgive you if you need a break of course but we have a good number of articles in the pipeline already. We have a couple of interviews lined up and then we plan to gear up for next season with some articles featuring the promoted teams as we always do. And if you are playing MLS then Guy will of course be publishing his tips on that as normal every week. However you choose to spend your FPL free summer we wish you all the best, we thank you for spending the season with us and we hope to see you again in August to begin the merry go round all over again!

  1. Thanks everybody for everything! Good times on here! I managed to top my ML but still fall a bit in the ranking. 26K OR. My second best scored actually now that I look back in my 5 seasons playing FPL- taking into account that this season has been a silly season I am quite happy. And happy it ended coz number 2 in my ML was catching up with me and I had no clue how to stop him!!! Damn…what to do for 3 months now? sad

          Yeah, there are some very decent players in the US. The top couple guys were ranked 159 and 178 worldwide.

        When you think about it, it’s actually good to earn brownie points with the girlfriend during that time and do loads of random other things!

        • Fantastic rank, colonial. It was fun battling it out with you for #1 and #2 in Banterbury League 1 this year. Hopefully we can show the boys in the Championship what’s up next season! smile

  2. Evening all, happy to end on a high with 103 pts (let’s ignore the -8 :D) after ending with my poorest ever rank for a full season at 206k. When does next season start again!?!?

    I know I don’t post here often, but just wanted to add my thanks to everyone else’s on a brilliant website, great community and contributers this year. Well done Cookie, Kop, Initt and co, pat on the back to you all for creating a great website.

    I’ve had a good year, think I’m on 1.5k or so, and that’s all down to reading your brilliant articles, comments and advice each week.

  4. Evening All, what a crazy last day. Will look forward to MOTD tonight. Gutted Arsenal missed out on 4th, but we need change and no shame being in the Europa League. I made some hits last min.com today – ended up with 100 and overall rank of 1365 which I’m chuffed about and is my personal best. I just wanted to say Thanks and Congratulations to you all. I love this site and you guys are all brilliant. I told the wife that after today I won’t be doing “T-shirts” (as she calls it!) for a little while.

    I will start planning mind you lol – have a great evening and catch up with you all soon.
