Pottys Predictions FPL Champions LeagueHi all my Potty Punters, just as we catch our breath Gameweek 2 is upon us in a flash but before we move onto my plans for you this weekend let’s reflect on the past week. So 41 of you walked through Pottys Bookies door to play ‘The Six Pointer’ and early indications show that many more will follow this weekend? The majority of you went with the picks of Costa and Fabragas in the deciding fixture between Burnley and Chelsea but by then the damage had been done for 2 lucky punters, yes Horse and NIN’s quartet of Rooney (C) / Ramsey /Sturridge / Sterling had gained them both 43pts so the 17pts Costa and Fabragas added to their total’s means these two FF247 members are the joint winner’s for Gwk 1 and your medal’s are in the post for you as you read this. HORSE and NIN well done lads.

So who remembers that old TV competition starring Ted Rodgers and his Dusty Bin? (I bet Kop and Elleffcee do), well I give you Pottys……..

“3-2-1, Select and Win”
The Rules.
A – Select 6 players but in the following permutations.
B – 3 from Saturday.
C – 2 from Sunday.
D – 1 from Monday
E – Highlight your Captain who gets double points.
F – The Teams for you to select your players from are.

Saturday – Crystal Palace v West Ham / Everton v Arsenal.
Sunday- Hull City v Stoke City / Tottenham v QPR.
Monday- Manchester City v Liverpool.

G – The FF247 Member with the most points in total wins this weeks Medal.

Note – you may for instance on Saturday wish to select your 3 men from 1 team only which is allowed, the key to winning this week may depend on your Monday night match selection?

GW1 – NIN and Horse = 1 Medal each.
(any punters who win 3 medals throughout the season will receive a Potty trophy also).

Pottys 1st Plonker of the Week Award
This was not an easy decision to make as many failed to nominate a Captain which cost those dearly but I give this weekly honour to Rick Grimes whose 6 chosen players netted him a diabolical 25pts. Sorry Rick!

  1. Evening all been busy but keeping an eye on things I still think if the prices don’t change as often every one will end up with same team any thoughts

    • I think a lot of teams will have 4 common midfielders and 2 common strikers at the moment. It happens every year though; as the weeks pan out people’s ideas will diverge and be more fixture specific IMO. One pleasing thing at least, is that everyone’s defence seems different!

        • Yep Potty’s put a bet on for me and if it comes in the winnings will be £237.51

          Chelsea to beat Leicester
          Swansea to beat Burnley
          Wigan to beat an awful Blackpool
          Crawley to win at Sheff Utd who have made a slow start
          Play off contenders Wycombe to win at Stevenage
          Queen of the South to win at home to Livingstone
          and finally Stiring to win at Stenhousemuir
          (Don’t know much about Scottish football)

          So fingers crossed.

  6. Phew! What a day.
    Up at 07:30 to feed the baby. Spent all morning in the paddling pool. (Another pesky 103 degree day). Tortillas for lunch, and then a cheeky 2 hour nap this afternoon. Just woke up. What did i miss?
