Pottys Punters Weekly Review
Firstly, thanks to all of my Potty Punters who came out in force on Saturday and a total of 56 smiling faces came through the doors of Pottys Bookies. For once all of the selected matches were played on the same day which was a great success all round, with Liverpool kicking off procedings, a sense of anticipation filled the air as they went about their business with an easy 3-1 win. With three games down we had four punters all with one score prediction correct – Rick Grimes, Migs, Fergies Henchman and Mumble1.
So onto the final Match which saw all four punters battling it out for the £10 Ladbrokes free bet prize, as the WBA v Hull game ended 1-1 and all of them now had 2 correct scores and a fight broke out, Migs hit Fergie, who fell into Mumble’s lap and as they were sorting themselves out Rick Grimes was at my counter claiming his winnings as his predicted First Goal Time of 27 minutes gave him the dosh. Congratulations Rick Grimes!

Merry Christmas!
Due to my 1.2millionth position finish last week, I’ve gone into the cup as a relegation favourite, despite my top 100K position!
Merry Christmas everyone. May it be blessed with goals (For my FPL players), clean sheets (for my FPL players) and red cards and own goals for your opponents (My opponents too, but not me)
A thought or two?
Howard
Jagielka, Terry, Mertesacker, Baker, Gabbidon
Walcott, Ramsey, Yaya Toure, Whittingham, Shelvey
Suarez, Negredo, Rooney
1 FT, 1 in the Bank
So, I’m not that happy with Shelvey, so who if I wanted to, could I transfer in for 6.5mil in place of him?
Hi M&B. how about Cabaye?
Scrap that he went up last night. There really isn’t a lot around that prbr. I have Fer but will move him on at wc. You could also do Redmond over Whittingham and that would allow Cabaye. You could look to chester over baker who is likely to make way for Vlaar
Nice team.
Pretty good team M&B. Good potential of CS and attacking returns this GW.
Im guessing this week you will probably play Whittingham, who is at home and in form as well.
In Shelvey’s place, look for Januzaj and Henderson. Both are finding good form.
Milky, how bout Henderson? Seems to be playing way above his level right now, fixtures are wonderful I grant you, bit then nor are Shelvey’s.
For the record, I wouldn’t buy him, but all the scouse idiots are gushing over him at the moment
go for januzaj..henderson has two tough teams before the wc..
Wow, thanks for all the input, I will try respond as follows:
TheDreamer, I like the look of Cabaye, more stable than HBA. However, I think my three-man defense is working well so I wouldn’t swap in Chester unless I had a FT going to waste, but Cabaye is a nice punt.
The B, I think Whittingham will feature this GW, not sure just yet.
Cookie and the B: Henderson has been fantastic for what I’ve seen in his play. But then again, playing off Suarez its not hard to see why. I don’t know if he’ll boss the games like he has done recently against MCFC and CFC.
The B and modifaya: Januzaj is looking a good prospect, but not much of a differential. Also, the guy is a diving twat and I don’t know if I want that in my side (Yes I have Suarez, but he’s stopped diving – for now!)
Hey Potty,
After a bit of a delay my winnings from GW 16 have finally been sorted so I’d like to thank everyone involved for running this for us and wish you all a merry Christmas and happy new year.
I’ve added my own £10 to the stake and doubled up on Man Utd to beat Norwich and Spurs to beat Stoke in GW 19 which fingers crossed could return £40. If this comes off I promise to donate all winnings to http://www.justgiving.com/matthew-martyniak
To spice it up a bit I’ve added a personal claus (See what I did there) even if I lose I’ll match the stake to charity. So come on Utd/Spurs.
Have a great day peeps.
Maybe not the ballsiest gamble I’ve ever taken in my life but the main thing is it payed off. Should take Matt over the 60% mark with half the season yet to play. I’m dreading joining his league, no doubt I’ll probably be near the bottom of that one too. (I’ll probably have to wait a few days to actually add it in.)
Cheers
