Trends From The Top A look to Gameweek 36
Welcome to this week’s edition of Trends From the Top. This week’s publication is somewhat premature as Arsenal and Hull have yet to play, but after looking at the top 10 and their respective standings, it would be surprising if major upheavals were to ensue. Our leader, Simon March of Atletico Marchid** has remained in the number one position for 12 weeks and currently has a 27 point advantage over his closest competitor. While his claim to the title is not yet confirmed as it is with Chelsea, Simon has played a cool, calm and strategic game. Let’s take a look to see what both he and the other nine top players are up to as well as look to the final few gameweeks.
Who was the most captained player by the top ten for Gameweek 35?
For gameweek 35, three different players were given the armband. Aguero (16 points) was the most popular selection with 50% followed by Hazard (12 points) at 40% and Benteke (26 points) at 10%.

Who were the most popular players chosen by the top ten for Gameweek 35?
Goalkeepers: For this past gameweek 30% of managers had either Schmeichel (7 points) or Mignolet (2 points). 20% had Pantilimon (2 points) and 10% selected Hart (9 points). Finally, one lucky soul decided a match against Manchester United was no obstacle and selected Myhill thus bringing in 17 points!
Defenders: This week we saw 12 defenders make the cut for top managers. Terry was the most popular pick as he was selected by 90% of managers while Ivanovic came in at 60%. Skrtel had 50% ownership while Morgan was selected by 40%. Bertrand had 20% while Clyne, Alderweireld, Huth, van Aanholt, Fonte, Koscielny, and Wollscheid were each selected by one manager.
Midfielders: When you look at midfielders, the top 10 managers had 9 different picks. Hazard had 100% ownership while Sterling was the next most popular pick with 80% ownership. Silva had 70% and Coutinho had 40%, Henderson and Fabregas were at 30% with Ozil and Sanchez at 20% and Ramsey at 10%. While it appears that only 1 Arsenal defender made the team for gameweek 35, you can see that Arsenal midfielders are starting to creep in, most likely for the upcoming double gameweek in 37.
Forwards: This week, the front line consisted of only 5 picks among the top managers. Aguero had 90% ownership followed by Kane at 70%, Vardy at 50%, Giroud at 30% and Benteke wrapping up the group at 20%.
In summation, the Must-Haves for top managers for Gameweek 35 were Terry, Ivanovic, Skrtel, Hazard, Sterling, Silva, Kane, Vardy and Aguero as they all had an ownership rate of 50% or higher.

Other interesting facts:
The average score for Gameweek 35 among the top 10 was 60.2 points which was 29.2 points above average of 31 by the end of Sunday’s matches.
Our top manager is from Singapore and has been in the top 10 for 18 weeks.
England was well represented with 40% ownership followed by Poland, N. Ireland, Ireland, Algeria, Pakistan and Singapore each with 10%.
If looking at GW 37 and the fact that it is a DGW for both Arsenal and Sunderland, Pantilimon and van Aanholt seem to currently be the most popular picks on the Sunderland side while Koscielny, Sanchez, Ramsey, Ozil and Giroud representing Arsenal.
Best of luck in gameweek 36!

Love this Alexis show! More more!!
Yes Ramsey and Sanchez save my gameweek. Which other arsenal player do I need? Missing the game
Hey shanec all arsenal mids look capable of double digits at any time. I hint though that on Alexis current form, Cazorla will be getting penalties. Also he seems to be delivering all the corners so maybe him ahead of mesut. I just tried Fab+Sterling+Kane to Ramsey+Caz+Benteke for 1 hit and it worked (with +0,7 in case you were wondering :)!
Cheers dmc bit torn between giroud and benteke. Giroud didn’t look the best tonight I heard but has double game week
Prior to the double gameweek I faced a choice between keeping Sanchez or Giroud… sure looks like I cocked up. Was planning to bring the other one back for next gameweek all along, but now everyone will be getting Sanchez now, damnit!
Thanks James, for making me feel better. You’re the best. Keep it up mate.
Anytime…
Lol, Sanchez and Ramsey have single handedly killed my 11 point lead on the top 1k. I am ARSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1-3. Hull scored. Wonder which Arsenal player is left injured though. Kos. But he seems fine now. Stephen Quinn scored, El something something assist.
If you take out the first 2 lucky Arsenal goals, Hull hasn’t been all that bad to be honest. They have been dangerous.
It was a great ball in and a cracking header from Quinn, probably the best goal so far tonight.
Ramsey off, phewwwwwwwwwwww. GTFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
C’mon Giroud, just one goal, please!
He’s gotten 0 balls to work with. All the mids/wingers went for own luck, which should be a striker thing. >.<
0 balls, seriously nothing to work with.
Giroud is being ignored by everybody, ZOMG. Which I always love, just not when I have him in my team.
Giroud subbed with not 1 shot on or off target. Piss ants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He wasn’t ignored any longer, as Wenger looked his way when making a sub.
Glad to see you gave up on the game, Mito. :big-lol:
Good evening!
Need some advice.
Have 1FT and £0.3
Need to get rid of at least 2 Liverpool players…
So Sterling –> Sanchez FT
and Henderson –> Albrighton -4
Good moves?
will go even -8 just to get all them ‘pool players..
Please help.
Sound like sensible moves those Respect. Not a fan of hits for ‘iffy’ players personally and I’d probably just play Walters myself but you may need the second to fund the first? Plus obviously Leicester are flying as such so no harm there. Not sure Albrighton continues with his little run but it’s a toss up between him and Cambo.
Albrighton when playing has always been class.
I’m considering an 8 point hit taking out 2 Pool players.
