Euro U21's Competition, Potty Style! Thanks for reading Euro U21’s Competition, Potty Style!

Good Evening and welcome to the launch of my Summer Competition. Given as UEFA have left all us good fantasy folk stranded with no actual competition to play I thought I would step forward to try and fill the void a bit with my own little competition, just to keep us entertained. The competition is based on the Under 21 European Tournament which starts on Friday 16th June. Screw UEFA then, let’s get on with it…

Your aim is to gather as many points as possible, its that simple.
Follow this link to the UEFA site to find all you need to know when selecting your men who’ll hopefully bring you European Glory (then click on the Under 21 tab).

Lets Play ‘Its A Pre-Tournament Gamble’

The Rules.
A – Select 5 players from any position you wish.
B – Highlight one as your Captain (C) for double points.
C – Your men may come from just one of the Under 21 teams or a pick and mix from any.
D – Your five man team must be picked ahead of the tournament starting, hence its all a Potty gamble.
E – There will be two groups which I’ll draw on Monday at 9pm, with the top four after the group stage is complete making the semi-finals stage.

The Potty Points System!!!!
All your players will gain points as follows…

Appearance (and even off the bench) = 15pts
Goalkeeper/Defender cleansheet = 25pts
Goalkeeper/Defender conceeding = -10pts per goal
Any player making an assist = 20pts per assist
Any player scoring = 30pts per goal
Yellow or Red Card flashed = -5pts & -8pts respectively.

Now pick your 5 star men from these teams…

FYR Macedonia
Czech Republic

The 1st part of the competition, and your 5 picks as per above, are for the group stages only. You will get to pick a different squad after that but stay tuned for details should you qualify that far.

So do a wee bit of research then post those men of yours below.
Cheers my dears x

  4. Gents, could someone pls share the link for the English version of the polish fantasy site, pls? thx

      • Many thx!

        • I see you now have a “tiny polish-english dictionary”, this is beyond any fantasy experience I’ve ever seen!
It’s something we wouldn’t even fantasized (sorry) about!!

        • I did have a chuckle when I saw that!

        • We do our best!

  5. Im happy with my Polish Fantasy Team.
Kop’s form maybe premature, but i’ll tell you this.
Today my team will CUM good and SHOOT up that league in one big SQUIRT.
    Just saying like…..

  6. Happy Fathers Day! To those to whom it’s applicable anyway.

    Line-ups for the 1st game…

Selke (c), Meyer, Gnabry and Schick going for me here in FFP (Fantasy Football Poland) : decided that is what we should call it as we’ve all been referring to the Polish game without knowing what to call it!

I think the sun is getting to me as I looked at the line-ups and cursed at the lack of Bellerin!

    • Happy Fathers Day back to you Init.

I got some nice ales from the kids but I’m on emergency calls this evening. Bad planning :(

So the first gameweek is over in FFP. Can we update our teams yet have you checked?

      • Yeah you can do transfers. You can as soon as it locks for the previous GW as far as I’m aware.

        • That’s right :)

      • PS I don’t think it’s gonna snow tonight mate :)

        • OK

You’re getting the blame then …..

        • I’ll be your David :)

        • How ironic, my Mrs went to see Reggie tonight!

        • Morning Cookie

Speaking of Elton. Did you see how Ipswich announced the signing of Joe Garner the day Elton played Portman Road?

  7. State of play after GW1. Kop still top. He’s had some day, he somehow won the cricket too!

There is a 3rd page but I’ll not embarrass the 1 person on it by posting it!

    • Mito – you are third tier there mate.

    • And well done Kop !

      • He’ll fall apart soon enough I’m sure. Have you done your team? Who’s your capo this round? Just done mine now.

        • Not yet mate. Been on mobile all weekend so will have a proper look at things tomorrow.
How’s our Potty comp going? That Selke penalty didn’t help but the fact that it doesn’t deduct pts under Potty’s does!

        • I capped Deulofeu with a goal in Potty’s. Other than that the rest stank the place out.

        • Yeah, I’m bound to miss a deadline soon :)

    • Well that didn’t go to well Cap for nk GW Djurdjevi? what do we thk ;)

  8. Morning lads, just checking in to let you know I haven’t fallen off a cliff or anything.
Just got back from a nice little break in Marbella and its been 26degrees in Newcastle all weekend which is a nice change from the usual fog on the Tyne :smiling:
Hope everyone’s keeping well. Have I missed much? I saw Cookie had the honour of bumping into the Lord :cry-lol:

    • Hi Milburn

Are you nicely refreshed mate? A nice bit of heat does you wonders doesn’t it?

Yeah Cookie met The Lord and his team won the French League. He’s gonna blitz FPL this coming season for the hat-trick.

      • Yeah GP, bit of sun and a short rest from FPL has made me feel like a new man. Raring to go for next season now, I see we have about 3 weeks until we get to start picking our teams and the RMTs pour in.
Brilliant news about Cookie, congrats mate!

  9. Christ just taken ten minutes to log in ;)

  10. Morning all. Happy to sit at 7th at the end of weekend. Couple questions:
1- does the bench order work the same as in FPL and if so when should a sub come in to replace a player who didn’t play?
2- And why is the deadline for GW2 in only a few hours when the games are slated for June 19?

    • Hey Colriles, the pic below should explain the subs thing.

As for it starting again today, it does. It’s the 19th today :)

      • Thanks Innit.
1- I do have a defender sitting in first spot on the bench and one starting who didn’t play but it hasn’t updated yet. Maybe it will update at the deadline for GW2? 6 more points would sneak me up a few more spots :)
2- Yikes. This is why I should never post on a Monday morning :cuckoo: :coffee:

        • It’s Tuesday ;)

        • In October right? ;)

        • Not sure when it updates mate. All mine played.

Anyone else waiting for a sub? Did it happen yet?

Tom from there seems to be keeping an eye on comments on here anyway so hopefully he will see this later and respond. Worse case I’ll email him for you.

        • Just spoke to him mate. They’re included already. They just don’t physically show in the line up as per FPL. Your total pitch points are 84. Add in your 6 and bingo that equals your total.

        • Cheers Innit. Tried to copy a pic below, maybe I’m missing something?

        • A ha. Thanks for this Innit. Guess I shouldve broken out the calculator :)

  11. The fandromeda one for the confederations cup is a bit odd. It just went down for maintenance some 15 minutes ago. Couldn’t make any moves as a result. Booo :)

    • I binned that off on day 1 mate as I missed the deadline. Kop did too so I doubt he’s playing either
