Live Match Chat Gameweek 20 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 20 FPL News: We hope you enjoyed your 17 hours free from FPL and football in general! Yes, you read it right, GW19 ended last night and GW20 starts this morning. Now if that doesn’t smack of rotation then we don’t know what does. Obviously the teams are spread out in some sort of equal ‘ish’ fashion but there is also the issue of having so little time that some injuries will not be reported on. It’s a bit hit and hope in that respect at this time of year and so the team sheets will be eagerly anticipated and we begin at 12.30pm with ‘Boro hosting Leicester, followed by four 3pm games and today ends with Man united visiting West Ham. Tuesday evening see three games, before our week and Christmas period itself finally ends on Wednesday with Spurs hosting Chelsea amid echoes of a certain New Years Day fixture two years ago ending up 5-3 to the hosts, albeit a few days earlier than the anniversary.

I like the rate Wally is dropping at. If he doens’t play the next game I see him drop to 7.4m or 7.3m. Which is super cheap for a player of his qualities when fit. Bwahah. Damn, why did I have to buy him the day he got injured last time around?

    Afternoon all.
    This is my team.
With the 3 remaining spaces and 22.9m, what would you do?

    a) KEEP: McAuley, Sanchez and Rondon
    or
    b) BRING IN: Vertonghen, Alli and Giroud

    ???

Afternoon, all. I am content with this team, but thinking about switching out Monreal. Would love to get Rose, but don’t have any funds! Vertonghen a good shout?

Swansea, Burnley, Watford and Hull in the next 5 for Arsenal. I know shipping 3 to Bournemouth isn’t great on their CV but I think I’d keep faith for that lot.

If not then there’s nothing wrong with Vertonghen. Rose would be preferable but then again if he rotates anyone it’s the full backs. He was more involved than Walker last night but I think that was a deliberate ploy to keep the ball away from the Hazard wing in case it broke down.

Arsenal has decent fixtures ahead, keep Monreal IMO.

    Hi all,

It’s been a while since my last post here.
Got 63 points and still struggle to reach top 500K.
Took a lot hit to have some fun and raise cash, and now start to avoid hits (maybe) :smiling:

Afternoon all. My defence and goalkeepers are currently, erm, diabolical:

    Foster | Pickford
    Valencia | Coleman | Holebas | Mee | Amat

Foster and Coleman have good fixtures ahead, after this round, whilst Valencia seems to get praise after every match.

So, would it be weird to sell Holebas, despite him having the best fixture — vs Boro (H) — this gameweek?

I’d probably get a Boro lad in, actually, as I don’t wanna waste *more* cash in defence. Thoughts?

hey James..Valencia seems nailed and has high chances of getting a CS in the next 5-6 games.Coleman is fine, given his fixtures and high probability of finding net, Holebas – you can wait for his 10th YC and decide..Mee- could check Pieters, good f & f. Amat-well good for a 1 pointer atleast,if they swansea manage to get just 3 goals.haha

That’s the trade off for having a pretty over powered front 8 James, a crappy back line, I’d be pretty happy with the United and Everton coverage but I guess you’re right in targeting Holebas as the one to go (Watford look dire good fixture or not), I’d leave it until after the cup games before making any jumps but Boro wouldn’t be a bad way to go.
