Live Match Chat Gameweek 33 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 33 FPL News: Just the six gameweeks left and so time is running out to close down those mini-leagues, make a late run for glory or consolidate what you have, all in the pursuit of office bragging rights. It may just be six gameweeks but not all gameweeks are created equal, as we are about to find out. At least three of them will be DGW’s. This is the part of the season when planning and preparation come to the fore and the casuals are left in a daze wondering how their seemingly unassailable 100 point lead suddenly turned into a deficit. Chips will be brandished like confetti. And those that can’t will learn lessons about patience.

GW33 is perhaps one of the last of the ‘normal’ gameweeks when all 10 teams will play, and just once at that. Spurs kick us off with a home fixture on Saturday lunchtime, much as they did last week when they mauled Watford. This time their victims are Bournemouth. And this time they will probably have Kane and not Janssen…

Saturday continues with five 3pm kick offs as Palace welcome a rampant Leicester, Everton batter Burnley, Stoke bore Hull, Sunderland pretend to care against West Ham before we finish with Watford teasing Swansea.

Saturday closes out with Man City visiting an in form and stubborn Southampton at tea-time.

Sunday begins with West ‘out of the office until August 2017’ Brom hosting Liverpool before we get to Jose trying to derail Chelsea’s title bid at 4pm.

The gameweek ends on Monday as we count the banners again. And planes. And planes with banners. Seriously, how much determination and / or money do these people have?! Anyway, if anyone notices or cares for the game itself it is Middlesbrough facing Arsenal.

Please join us as ever to discuss the games as they happen and share your feelings, successes and woes as the action unfolds and hopefully the FPL points flood in for you.

Hope Origi starts and if he doesn’t he should be kept on bench and not come on as a sub :/ Have Capou sitting as 1st sub 😛
27(-4) really bad score :/ But have Hazard, Coutinho, Origi, Valencia, Alonso and Nyom left so hope 2-3 players perform better

    Morning all!

Are we seeing green arrows this morning?

My two rivals are either being very smart or stupid? One burned his BB last week and the other burned his WC this GW; the Guy who used his WC hasn’t even set his team up for the DGWs in GW37.

Bit concern on Ibra’s fatigue comments. Anyone who hasn’t got him and NOT planning to get Ibra for Gw34?

    So how’s the tinkering for WW36/BB37, 3 Gooners, 2/3 Saints, 3 Chelsea , 3 City, 3 Spurs?

What arsenal players are you thinking of DMC?

      Brookyboy says:

Maybe if i had an extra 10m to spend !! Not sure Arsenal on current form are worth 3 places…

      • DMC says:

Brooky – don’t spoil the fun with that money talk! smile
I say 3 Arsenal because they have another double on 36. So surely 3 from them and 3 Saints for the WC gw itself and then maybe ship one saint and buy someone else for 37 with the FT.

DMC – getting a headache trying to come up with my WC team!! But looking at the games I think it will be at least 2 Arsenal, 2 Chelsea ( chelsea worry me as they may have the title won my then) and then the rest from Spurs, saints and city!

Front 3 will be either Kun Kane or Costa/gabbidini

      • DMC says:

YeahI haven’t looked at the players themselves yet and I’m sure money will be tight. Given that it’s the final four games we need to look at 36 and 38’s games too and they look great for Spurs, Chelsea and City. Let’s just hope they are all fighting for something when the time comes.

        • Mitro says:

          This is where I’m at!!

        • Mitro – that’s a strong team !
          You don’t even need a 15th player 😉 !!

        • DMC says:

Humm. I think you’re missing Hazard. Him ahead of Alexis on current form (individual and team) – that’s without knowing if Chelsea have won it by then which I suspect they won’t. That Jesus call is too risky. Ben has him coming back on 30/04, which is on the Sunday of 36. Can’t be done mate, but it does put Kun’s place at risk. I got this far for now. Reckon there’s still much room to improvement.

      Aiming for 3 Saints ; 3 City ; 1or2 Chelski ; 2or3 ARS’es ; Ibra …
No WC left though, so let’s see how much of this actually comes true…
      Working atm on it…

      • DMC says:

Not thinking of Utd players. They have Arsenal, Southampton and Spurs away and then only Palace at home for 38. This will come with EL semis before and after 36. Needs reassessement that one.

        • My thinking is that I need 7 offensive players -> from those teams…
No matter the formation used (3-5-2 or 3-4-3) the maximum is 7 offensive players…
Think there will be a lot of goals and I am willing to put my money on attacking players…(which excludes 4-4-2 & 4-5-1).
City has the best schedule, so maybe a City defender…combined with a CHE defender maybe…ARS has 2 DGW’s but not sure I want to get a defender from that team…

So, 7 offensive players + 1 more on the bench (using BB) = that makes 8 offensive players…
Depending on the players chosen and money spent/left, I will invest in defence and the rest of the players…
We are left with 5more defensive players & 2 goalies…
So 3 good defenders from the teams that have a DGW + 2 BB players (cheaper but sure starters) and you are done !

Also I think I’ve ruled out the early WC 35. All the hotshots from said big teams have tough fixtures for that one especially Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs.
