Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 30

Screenshot_6Well, well, well we did it, a green arrow after our wonderful set of superstars defied the average to deliver an 82pt week, our second highest weekly score of the season. Our team was solid throughout apart from our keeper Lloris who didn’t cover himself in glory in the derby and brought home just a solitary point for us. But let’s not focus on him, there is more positive news from our outfielders. Our defence, well, it’s never been so productive – clean sheets from Kompany and Rangel was slightly tarnished when van Dijk and the Saints allowed Sunderland a goal – but all was not lost, oh no, for our man himself powered in an equaliser and a couple of bonus points to boot. Our midfield stars were Payet and Mahrez, while young Alli chipped in with an assist. Ozil did nothing, shame on him. Same with Vardy, nothing. What a let down those two have been this season!! Kane scored in the derby for a six pointer while Captain Kun delivered 22pts despite missing a penalty, the numpty. So it was a good week and we rose nearly 200k places and now sit at 714,651. Not great obviously, but better, and touch wood, going in the right direction.

Transfer decision for GW30 – Sold Payet, Bought Sigurdsson
Tough one this! We didn’t really want to lose either Payet or Ozil for a variety of reasons – both have been uber consistent point scorers this season and both have DGW’s coming up some time soon. In fact when we looked at our original squad for this week we’d perhaps over-planned it as we had 12 starters even before any transfer! The fact is though that 5 of those were defenders and 1 was a midfielder who faces the Saints and they have the 2nd best defensive record away from home and he isn’t exactly a goal machine to begin with!

We had 2 FT’s in hand as well so rather than lose one we compared having Ozil v Payet v Siggy over the next few weeks and concluded that Siggy actually had the best run (including Villa at home next week, BOOM!), Ozil perhaps the next best and Payet perhaps the worst. Ergo we sold Payet for Siggy. That may well be a short term move and we will surely have Payet back in soon enough, especially for any potential double but we also have the crutch of a full set of chips in hand – WC, BB, TC and even the AOA for some reason!

Captain – Kane
It’s a peculiar quirk of this reduced game-week that we have almost as many viable captain choices as we do actual games taking place! Kun was Kane’s main rival in our voting and would have pipped it only for a couple of last minute deserters! Kane takes pride of place then, rested, fresh and ready to beat up on a Villa team who gave up the ghost a good few weeks ago.

Deserted but not altogether forgotten.

  1. thats a good team cookie..front 5/6 would be common in half the teams this week i reckon..OK, asking for the last time: Kane for a -4. advisable??Lukaku has to go, a sure DGW player

    Who would be the better shout this week

    Siggy or Arnautovic?

    This is currently my team:

    • Mitro, You have a decent looking team already, Save your FT for future DGWs.

      • Morning Constantine – don’t worry mate I have all my chips except for AOA! smile

        • Mitro, If you are planning to use your WC in GW33, then its advisable to do the planned moves as your idea should be to maximize the points/lead before the DGWs. But, if you wish to use it after the double gameweek 34, I’ll suggest you to hold on to them or use wisely..

    • Mitro, don’t be daft and just bank the transfer! smile

    • Save the FT. You have a sweet 4-3-3 this GW. Wouldnt want to bench any one of your defenders.

      With that said, my preference would be Siggy. Cause its SIGGY!
