Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 31 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
GW31 is live! And we are back to a full game-week again after last weeks paltry showing of just 5 games. We have a full compliment this week again thankfully with 10 games spanning 2 days. We kick off with Everton hosting Arsenal on Saturday at 12.45pm, followed by four 3pm kick offs and finish Saturday off by wondering how many Swansea can smash past Villa at 5.45pm. Sunday concludes our game-week with no less than four games, the highlights from a fantasy point of view being the Manchester derby at 4pm and Spurs hoping to push home their title charge against Bournemouth at the same time. Let’s get to it all then and chat our way through GW31…

Anyone know if Welbeck has the striker spot secured? What are the odds he starts both in their double? When Moreno’s healthy does he start over Flanagan?

As for Welbeck I’d say it’s his shirt to lose now, he looked good today and is clearly back to match sharpness. Whether he gets 3 games in a week though is another matter. Think the commentator said Giroud has scored once since December or something daft like that so I’d say Welbeck is no1 choice now.
Rest is looking fine, keep me updated on it though as I’ll be copying yours again!

I take it we are bench boosting 14 here and Mahrez is our outlier? That seems a sensible enough balance to me now thinking about it. I was dead set on 15 but you make a good point. Without saying anything!
Hey Pancho, it looks like he may be the preferred option but in all honesty I think he and Giroud will share game time still. Whether he plays enoughand delivers remains to be seen.
Re Moreno, not sure maybe a Liverpool fan can help with that.
Re your wildcard team not sure Varela is guaranteed with Darmian and Valencia both fit. The rest looks fine though i havent got a WC so i’m not really focused too much on it. Bear in mind United, Everton and West Ham blank in 35 so you’ll need to address that at the time.
Thanks Init and Cookie for the feedback! I should have added I have Varela on the “watch and see” list. I’ll be saving my freebie for 34 and be able to ship Payet & Welbeck to Kane & Ali for WBA at home in 35. Keeper situation is not ideal as I don’t think either of them will score well, even with doubles. I may need to to Payet -> Antonio to upgrade elsewhere…

I had considered Lennon. He’s been much more of a goal threat since transferring to Everton then he ever was for Spurs.
Considering Gabriel myself as well. You think he’s nailed on now?
Cresswell and Payet both blanking in 35 puts me off of having that much tied up in them. Tough though as Payet could easily score 20+ in his double…
I’d agree that Henderson is iffy. Hasn’t been producing for FPL.
I’d consider Wyckam over Ighalo, assuming he’s fit.
Not sure about Gabriel. If he plays the next game I may take the punt because it does seem he has the nod.
Henderson would’ve been Antonio if it wasn’t for the blank. Am I right in thinking Henderson is on pens? That’s what was tempting me more than anything else.
My plan for Payet was to take him out for Mahrez GW35 and bring him back in GW36.
Just realised Watford have only scored in 3 games since start Jan (why why why have I benched Butland this week!?).
Think I’ll need to find a replacement for Ighalo.
Also, I understand going for a topkeeper, but I love goalies that get many saves. And so much red. I really don’t know right now.
EBC, Milner has been on pens, when he was injured v the Mancs, Sturridge stepped up.
Pancho, its difficult the Moreno situation. He is more of a threat going forward but his defensive duties are shite compared to Flanno. I think the majority of fans would like to see Flanno start but he is just back from a 20 month injury, so is getting a game here and there. Against City Clyne was dropped for Flanno and at times Klopp has put Milner RB and Clyne LB.
Elle, you’ll have to keep everyone clued up on this whole Liverpool defence thing as we go along. We’re relying on you! Out of interest then, who’d you pick personally, if any?!
At the moment, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho and Flanno. Flanno can’t play in Europe (not registered) so may get the league games. Moreno has a hamstring problem at the moment, but as i say above, Klopp has moved Clyne over to LB and played Milner at RB. I think he feels that because he wants to play the pressing game Flanno is to defensive, the others are better at going forward than him, even Moreno.
I don’t like these DGW teams at all. Too much focus on getting all DGW players ready. Losing all the other important players.

Yeah, I benched Vardy this week Raz. Almost went with Ozil but Everton’s inability to keep a CS tipped it the other direction.
The Lukaku transfer was only made because I had to use 1 of my 2 ft’s to bring in a certain DGW player. The fact they were so poor today is really pissing me off. These dudes get paid pretty good right? And it;s not like they are half decent, these are good players.
yeah, I was trying to watch the game through a really crappy live stream feed that didn’t pan out well, but it seemed like Coleman was the only one laying with any passion.

Already gave them. Not a big fan. It’s a huge headache though. Myself I’m planning to do in GW36. I really don’t like the fixtures of many DGW players either, plus the fact they have a cup game. Nothing adds up right.

Raz, that’s why I kept Mahrez in and I’m planning on getting Kane back in for 35 with 2 transfers. Team for 35 would probably be:

Bellerin Clyne Skrtel
Mahrez Coutinho Silva Ozil
Kane Kun Afobe
So selection headache and a strong team for 35.

Usually I am smarter about my transfers, hence my top 30k ranking. I messed up this GW though. But shit, I have 2 ft’s left for the next GW! Anyway, I really don’t like what Everton did today. It’s useless bringing in any of their players if they won’t show up.
Pancho, wouldn’t rely on Skrtel mate, Lovren and Sahko are Klopps preferred CB partnership i think. Rumours Skrtel could be offski in the summer due to the arrival of Matip.
Ànd stoke and butland lose their cs. It’s just one of those weeks. >.<
