Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 31 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16
GW31 is live! And we are back to a full game-week again after last weeks paltry showing of just 5 games. We have a full compliment this week again thankfully with 10 games spanning 2 days. We kick off with Everton hosting Arsenal on Saturday at 12.45pm, followed by four 3pm kick offs and finish Saturday off by wondering how many Swansea can smash past Villa at 5.45pm. Sunday concludes our game-week with no less than four games, the highlights from a fantasy point of view being the Manchester derby at 4pm and Spurs hoping to push home their title charge against Bournemouth at the same time. Let’s get to it all then and chat our way through GW31…

This bonus system needs to be overhauled.Last week Alli was man of the match after Kane with 2 assists and a clean sheet.Surely 2 bonus points after Kane with 3? No, Zilch and virtually the whole Spurs team outscored him with 26 points.
This week Mahrez scores the winning goal and keeps a clean sheet yet 2 defenders get the 3 and 2 bonus points.Vardy provides the assist and gets nothing
It seems that under this system a defender keeps a clean sheet then bonus points are likely yet forwards like Costa get nothing. It seems that defence is rewarded and sometimes attacking play is but needs 2 goals to trigger the points.
If they maintain the same system next season I may set up a dummy team and play 5-3-2 the whole season and see how it works out.
Couldn’t agree more on the bonus thing, winning goal in a 0-1 should be 3, end of. Not sure on the 5-3-2 though! Only Toby and Butland make the top 15 overall point scorers thus far.
I’ve noticed that a lot over the season and the thing is, everytime it happens like that the player who won the game i.e Mahrez and Alli’s assists last week, they never finish the game in question which does effect them. For the record, Morgan was excellent today!
Kruz, that would be a novel idea, just to see how it goes.
Mahrez was on 2BP up until half an hour after the game. I don’t understand why they shift so much.
Im assuming you dont own Fuchs?
No, Simpson.
This is from the official site
How is the BPS score calculated?
Players score BPS points based on the following statistics (one point for each unless otherwise stated):
Action BPS
Playing 1 to 60 minutes 3
Playing over 60 minutes 6
Goalkeepers and defenders scoring a goal 12
Midifielders scoring a goal 18
Forwards scoring a goal 24
Assists 9
Goalkeepers and defenders keeping a clean sheet 12
Saving a penalty 15
Save 2
Open play cross 1
Creating a big chance (a chance where the receiving player should score) 3
For every 2 clearances, blocks and interceptions (total) 1
For every 3 recoveries 1
Key pass 1
Successful tackle (net*) 2
Successful dribble 1
Scoring the goal that wins a match 3
70 to 79% pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 2
80 to 89% pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 4
90%+ pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 6
Conceding a penalty -3
Missing a penalty -6
Yellow card -3
Red card -9
Own goal -6
Missing a big chance -3
Making an error which leads to a goal -3
Making an error which leads to an attempt at goal -1
Being tackled -1
Conceding a foul -1
Being caught offside -1
Shot off target -1
*Net successful tackles is the total of all successful tackles minus any unsuccessful tackles. Players will not be awarded negative BPS points for this statistic.
Data is supplied by Opta and once it has been marked as final will not be changed. We will not enter into discussion around any of the statistics used to calculate this score for any individual match.
Look at this line
Assists 9
Goalkeepers and defenders keeping a clean sheet 12
Being tackled -1
Conceding a foul -1
Being caught offside -1
Shot off target -1
That lot is against attacking play as a striker has to go for goal and will rack up those points except conceding a foul. What a crock!
If defenders rack up more bps than the match winning attackers then why not give them some extra points? Defending like a warrior for 90 mins is more worthy of bp’s than just netting a winner, but doing next to nothing else. It can be frustrating at times but it’s better than it used to be i think.
Sorry. Not following FPL these days. But what happened to Taylor?
Have Bellerin first on bench.
Dunno, but Belly will be in for you.
Taylor missed out “due to a series of minor knocks” – Swanseas twitter.
Hope the same thing happens to Walker tomorrow as Belly is my first too
If his injury is long term, might be a perfect time to replace him with a City defender.
Indeed. Out for a DGW defender is ideal now if you’re not W/Cing.
GET IN BELLERINNNN B)
Captain Sigurdsson on 10 points
1 yellow away from a red card.
8, picked up a yellow straight after
Thank you Cookie for the Kohli talk.
Got him and gave him the arm band. B)
Nice work mate! Where are you in the league now?
15th in the FF247 league, but 8th in my work league.
How did you do today?
Gained a place, up to 5th but lost some ground on the leader as i capo’d Raina which was a silly gamble with hindsight. But sums me up.
Damn! You know this game too well! :cuss:
Cricket ya?
Ya
Ja, wir sind beide Deutsch , und du?
Never knew you two were German…
Nein NIN
well fuck it – after bothering googling the above, I put it in the wrong place
How did you get on today budski? Meh 31 here, capo done.
A true German would have put it in the correct place 😉
Happy enough Nin. 38 if the bonuses stay as is. Kane (c), Alder, Silva, Aguero and (wait for it) Elliot to go
Nice one Dreamers, that’s a solid score with a capo still to play. I predict 4 points for Elliot.
Motherfucking BPS system. >.< Payet and Mahrez suddenly lose a bps. I mean, wtf? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey! Shouting aint bringin back any BPs!
I KNOW! I MEAN! WTF!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Mahrez still on for 1 is he not?
Thats what I am seeing Shadow
I said they lost a bps. Meaning 1, Mahrez was sitting on 2. 😉
Bit surprising the winning goal scorer only on one, especially as only 1 goal in game.
I posted the official bps scoring earlier but to be tell the truth, I’m skeptical if thats what actually used.
Benched Kosc this week :/ thinking of doubling up on Arsenal defence for 34 and bringing Bellerin in for Komps.
Also gonna get rid of Alders for Creswell maybe.
Shadow – using wc or normal trfs?
Normal transfers, saving WC for 36 I reckon. Got 5 at the minute for 34.
the worry I’d have (with the late wc) is the silly season if nothing to play for
Yeh I keep weighing up both and then you have the blank week in 35 plus others resting for cup games in the 34.
For people not WC in 33 who are you TC in 34 if you have all chips left?
Shadow – the blank week can be overcome. Not saying its perfect or finalised but this was my first wc draft during the week. All but Mahrez has a dgw.
Surely Kosc + Smalling + Moreno is more exciting for the DGW?
Kosc over Bellerin B? Bellerin in form fpl wise
Could only afford Smalling if I did Komps out for him and then wouldn’t be able to afford Bellerin. Got nowt in the bank!
He already has Kosc.
How much is Monreal? Has been throwing in dangerous balls for a number of weeks.
