This bonus system needs to be overhauled.Last week Alli was man of the match after Kane with 2 assists and a clean sheet.Surely 2 bonus points after Kane with 3? No, Zilch and virtually the whole Spurs team outscored him with 26 points.
This week Mahrez scores the winning goal and keeps a clean sheet yet 2 defenders get the 3 and 2 bonus points.Vardy provides the assist and gets nothing
It seems that under this system a defender keeps a clean sheet then bonus points are likely yet forwards like Costa get nothing. It seems that defence is rewarded and sometimes attacking play is but needs 2 goals to trigger the points.
If they maintain the same system next season I may set up a dummy team and play 5-3-2 the whole season and see how it works out.

Couldn’t agree more on the bonus thing, winning goal in a 0-1 should be 3, end of. Not sure on the 5-3-2 though! smile Only Toby and Butland make the top 15 overall point scorers thus far.

I’ve noticed that a lot over the season and the thing is, everytime it happens like that the player who won the game i.e Mahrez and Alli’s assists last week, they never finish the game in question which does effect them. For the record, Morgan was excellent today!

Kruz, that would be a novel idea, just to see how it goes.

      EBC says:

Mahrez was on 2BP up until half an hour after the game. I don’t understand why they shift so much.

How is the BPS score calculated?

Players score BPS points based on the following statistics (one point for each unless otherwise stated):

      Action BPS
      Playing 1 to 60 minutes 3
      Playing over 60 minutes 6
Goalkeepers and defenders scoring a goal 12
      Midifielders scoring a goal 18
      Forwards scoring a goal 24
      Assists 9
Goalkeepers and defenders keeping a clean sheet 12
      Saving a penalty 15
      Save 2
      Open play cross 1
Creating a big chance (a chance where the receiving player should score) 3
For every 2 clearances, blocks and interceptions (total) 1
      For every 3 recoveries 1
      Key pass 1
      Successful tackle (net*) 2
      Successful dribble 1
Scoring the goal that wins a match 3
70 to 79% pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 2
80 to 89% pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 4
90%+ pass completion (at least 30 passes made) 6
      Conceding a penalty -3
      Missing a penalty -6
      Yellow card -3
      Red card -9
      Own goal -6
      Missing a big chance -3
Making an error which leads to a goal -3
Making an error which leads to an attempt at goal -1
      Being tackled -1
      Conceding a foul -1
      Being caught offside -1
      Shot off target -1
*Net successful tackles is the total of all successful tackles minus any unsuccessful tackles. Players will not be awarded negative BPS points for this statistic.

Data is supplied by Opta and once it has been marked as final will not be changed. We will not enter into discussion around any of the statistics used to calculate this score for any individual match.

      • TheDreamers says:

        Look at this line

        Assists 9
Goalkeepers and defenders keeping a clean sheet 12

        • Kruzcampo says:

          Being tackled -1
          Conceding a foul -1
          Being caught offside -1
          Shot off target -1

That lot is against attacking play as a striker has to go for goal and will rack up those points except conceding a foul. What a crock!

      NIN says:

If defenders rack up more bps than the match winning attackers then why not give them some extra points? Defending like a warrior for 90 mins is more worthy of bp’s than just netting a winner, but doing next to nothing else. It can be frustrating at times but it’s better than it used to be i think.

Sorry. Not following FPL these days. But what happened to Taylor?

    Have Bellerin first on bench.

Thank you Cookie for the Kohli talk.

    Raziel says:

Motherfucking BPS system. >.< Payet and Mahrez suddenly lose a bps. I mean, wtf? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Shadow says:

Benched Kosc this week :/ thinking of doubling up on Arsenal defence for 34 and bringing Bellerin in for Komps.

Also gonna get rid of Alders for Creswell maybe.
