Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 17 FPL News: After the excitement (maybe not!) of the midweek fixtures we are back with a long weekend of games beginning on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea chasing records at Pardew’s Palace. We move swiftly on to four relatively dull looking games at 3pm, if we are being totally honest about it! It reads more like a relegation audition or next seasons typical Championship fixture list than any sort of Premier League bonanza. Ahem, sorry, we’re supposed to build you up into a frenzy of excitement to encourage the conversation about what is to come and what is happening aren’t we?! We’ll actually forgive you if you leave at 2pm and return at 5pm though, just this once! The evening game could actually be an interesting one as Man United visit West Brom, both of whom enjoyed midweek wins. Sunday begins with a south coast derby followed by arguably the clash of the weekend as Pep meets Wenger at the Etihad. At the same time as that one Spurs will seek to gain some ground on the leaders as they host Burnley. Our game-week closes out on Monday with another derby game, this time on Merseyside. Sold Mane just before this match so it’s a bittersweet moment seeing him score because now I want him back for next week 😉 But bloody love that we got the 3 points honestly felt the game should have probably been a draw but oh well
he will go to African nations after the next 2 games mate.. a gentle reminder.. but if u know it already and still considering him, might still be worth it..
He’s around for the next 3 Praveen. ACON doesn’t start till the 14th of January. I just hope that it will be Lallana who is the main man over the next 3.

Yea Mane is annoying, I had him for a while and got rid of him for Coutinho then I never got him back. Now im not really considering him because he is going away 17th of Jan abouts. I probably should get him but ah, he is going to get injured at this rate. He gets targetted alot and gives alot, he must be tired
Same as mate – I resisted buying him because of him going to AFCON obviously my main ML opponent didn’t……
Yeah and when Countinho got injured,Firminho was slightly cheaper so thought the extra cash would come in usefull.Then Aguero got injured and xmas came early….

Kane to Ibra yeah.Stuck with Itchy for now though but i have a cunning plan that is going to take some patience.
Is it better to take 2 4 point hits or 1 8 point hit? To get rid of nacho need to free up some cash
Plan is
Already done Costa to ibra. I can either do
1. vert to cheap defender pieters this week for 4 point hit or
2. Vert to cheap defender, Kane to Costa, nacho to Defoe 8 point hit
3. Kane to Costa next week
4. None of them
I’d maybe like to keep hold of Verts if possible as he’s the cheapest option into that Spurs defence, you do have to do something about Nacho though.
Instead of Defoe could get Negredo
How can I improve this lot. Planning to get Costa in for Kane next GW but need to bin nacho. No idea who for! Willing to take a hit.
I’d be happy enough just starting the 4-4-2 for now, Nacho could possibly be downgraded for a -4 so that you can upgrade Barry or another defender in later GW’s, I’m not very keen on most of the strikers in his price bracket and seeing him benched looks like a waste, I’d just cut my losses on him now and be done with it.
I’m thinking could go 3-5-2. Plan would be
1. Nacho to anichebe
2. Barry to Walcott
3. Van dijk to pieters
4. Kane to Costa
I prefer the 3-5-2 this year so I’d probably go for that but not all at once, maybe just suck up the one -4 this GW and see how the cards lie next GW as no doubt something will surely come up.

It’s more dependant on who’s incoming/outgoing rather than when to take the actual hit I think, whichever way you do it, it still equals -8.
