Three Must Have Players Based on Early Stages Of 2023/24 EPL
It has been an exciting start to the 2023/24 Premier League season, and hopefully, you have made a strong start in the leagues you have entered. However, with a long way to go in the campaign, there is always the chance to make up ground if you have not started as well as you would have liked.
Here is a look at three players who have made a strong impression in the opening few weeks and should be worth snapping up if you don’t already have them.
Evan Ferguson (Brighton)

Brighton striker Evan Ferguson has scored four goals in his opening four games this season. He netted a hat-trick in his side’s 3-1 victory over Newcastle United where once again he proved what an exciting talent he is.
The Seagulls have added Ansu Fati to their squad over the summer and the on-loan Barcelona man should prove to be a great asset for Ferguson. The Spaniard will create lots of opportunities in this team and it is likely to be the Irishman who will take advantage to add to his goal tally.
Brighton have a great chance of breaking into the top four this season for the first time in their history. Ferguson’s stock in his team is only going to get higher as the campaign progresses so now is the time to snap up his services.
Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace)
Crystal Palace’s Jordan Ayew is one of the leading African players in the world. He was named the Ghana Player of the Year in 2020, while he helped the Black Stars reach the Africa Cup of Nations final in 2015.
Ayew has a wealth of experience in the Premier League now, and his progress is always closely followed in countries like Zambia. His fans will have been pleased with what they have seen from him in the early stages of the campaign. Those who are placing bets in Zambia can get 7/4 on the Eagles finishing in the top half this season. If Ayew continues in the form he is in, those odds will continue to look great.
Adding Ayew to your fantasy team is a great option in midfield as he is much cheaper than the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford. The Ghanaian is joint-fifth in the top assists charts following four games and he should continue to be an important player in Roy Hodgson’s team for the rest of the fixtures in the season.
James Ward-Prowse (West Ham)
One of the smartest pieces of business done this summer looks like to be West Ham’s acquisition of James Ward-Prowse from Southampton. The Hammers paid £30 million for the player after the Saints were relegated from the Premier League.

The 28-year-old is an excellent set-piece taker, which means he adds a lot of value to your fantasy team. Ward-Prowse has made three assists already this season, which puts him joint top of the standings.
The former Southampton man has settled very well in David Moyes’ team and he should continue to consistently pick up points each week.
Good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully the above three players can make a difference to your team.
