Our 2024/25 Finished Overall Rank and Recent History

Okay so we did not have a great season last year but Rosco already told you guys about all that in our Preseason Site Team article from two weeks ago so I won’t go back over it. You can see our teams history and the finishing rank in the image above. You can see we have had a very up and down few seasons with last year being our worst season EVER! That kind of means that the less said, the better.

Initial set up

We showed you all two weeks ago how we could go with a Bench Boost or not and showed you two drafts with minimal changes depending on which way we decided to go. Things have slightly changed in the FPL landscape since that article with what looks like a playing 4.0 keeper in Dubravka and a multitude of 4.0 defenders but the issue is there is a flag for Dubravka. Not a great sight. We also told you all that we would be putting more of a community voice into the Site Team this season and asking for your opinions. We felt that NO BENCH BOOST was what people kind of wanted and we agreed, so our team will not be one with BB in mind.

With that in mind, we basically just started picking players we wanted – regardless of price. That obviously wasn’t going to be allowed by the FPL PSR rules so we left the absolute locked players of Salah, Palmer Watkins. We voted on a goalkeeping pairing of Sels and Dubravka for that set and forget combo that will hopefully do well. After that, the lads kind of let me (Matt) take the reins!

I was going to go a little crazy and put in differentials galore but decided I didn’t want to screw it all up from the get-go. Therefore I played it kind of safe and went with a largely template X draft. We do have a few yellow flags on the team but Rogers was seen in training so hopefully he’ll be fine.

Big at the back with Porro, Murillo and Cucurella will hopefully be a good mix of the DEFCON and attacking potential that all of them offer. Hartman is a little differential I’ve stuck in as he seems to be playing, isn’t owned by a lot of people and won’t really be needed anyway so price drops shouldn’t be a worry. The Community Decision

We told you all that we would give you a voice this year but to make it as clean and easy as possible it might not be every week and it will only be one choice. We will decide the majority. There is one choice I wanted to give you all and it is to choose the final two up for grabs spots.

Therefore select one of these combos and I will tell you all in an edit to this article tomorrow before the deadline.
