Around the Grounds FPL Team News Gameweek 7
We are delighted to announce that this week there will not be an official Around the Grounds article. Delighted you say? Well yes, we say. Let us explain. Your usual roving reporter, the esteemed Cookie, has been a bit busy this week, to say the least. Now whilst most middle aged men are starting to wonder what to do with the spare bedroom once the eldest finally buggers off to University our Cookie lives life a little differently. To say the least. He’s been turning the spare bedroom into a nursery… Ah, surely for his grandchildren then you say? Nope…
We are officially delighted to announce the arrival of Cookie’s latest additions to his growing brood. Yes, that’s plural! Many congratulations from all at FF247 to Mr and Mrs Cook on the arrival of their twin girls Imogen and Olivia.
Ahem, back to FPL anyway. Given the above and the lack of anybody else willing / able to spend half of their week trawling through the press conferences there will not be an official article this week but we will instead endeavour to post all of the latest news in the comments below so that you will at least be kept up to date on all the main news as it happens as we approach tomorrows deadline. And that is the first piece of really important news as it happens –
The GW7 deadline is on Friday at 7pm UK time
[clear]
We will post the main headlines ourselves but we would also encourage others to do the same on this article so that it is all in one place rather than being lost within the RMT chats on the other articles.
Congrats again Cookie. And good luck!

Spurs team news. Not much to go on.
City team news.
Sunderland team news.
Now I wonder if……
I’ll stop wondering shall I 😉
*Migs is at the door demanding I hand over my phone and laptop
Init, I heard there were other managers who were supposedly secretly video taped as well. Have they released those names and is there anything to it? I’m assuming that your wondering is related, but I’m just curious here
Not officially yet.
Pancho our lawyer will probably tell me off but these are the names doing the rounds.
Yes your honour, I believe it’s spelt K.O.P Just practicing…
Any word on Bo and Smith?
If you mean Adam then he’s trained this week and should be fine to play. Bournemouth was yesterday morning.
Aaah, so annoying, he’s still flagged. Which prevented him from raising.
Happy he starts though, or probably will.
MaHOOsive thanks to Init and Kop for covering this week’s team news, much appreciated fellas!
Always a great / useful read.
…and also CONGRATS cookie.
Really pleased for you mate.
Think nothing of it Cookie
Okay. Good to go?
Any glaring issues in setup?
James
Everton winning to nil tonight would be a fantastic start to the weekend!
Looks good to me. Nothing striking me as off with any of that!
Cheers GP!
Yes. That and a goal or two from lukaku / coleman would be perfect!
How’s your team looking this weekend?
james
I had a look on Monday last. Honest. I’ve been very busy this week.
I’m hoping I can still afford my target! I’m thinking Lallana will be coming in as planned.
I looked at him, and Firminho.
Decided on mane in the end.
But again, who knows which will work out best.
Good luck anyway.
Glaring is one way of putting it, what the heck have you watered that pitch with? Uranium? Hang on a sec… B) That’s better Looks great that James, wouldn’t touch a thing.
nitrotrinadium
you got a problem with that?
Question is whether your team is going forwards or backwards 😉
More this tbh:
Bootstrap paradox – The paradox of time travel in which an object or piece of information (my team, in this case) is never literally created, because it’s existence begins by arriving from the future and ends by going to the past to become itself.
Don’t tell me that hasn’t happened to yours!
Also, cool. Thanks – and good luck!
James, this is just my opinion and seems to go against those who have already replied but I would save that all out attack ship and play your West Brom defender. I know it creates a tough decision upfront but you have three defenders with good fixtures and I would save that shit for a week when you’ve got defenders that all have crappy fixtures. Just my two cents. Good luck this weekend!
Appreciate your thoughts and did consider it.
In the end I thought Austin’s form (goals in last two games) might be worth betting on. That said, he’s away to LEI.
Any other opinions?
