The Banterbury H2H Leagues are now in their second season and were originally formed to give a few of us seasoned FF managers a real challenge, and what started of as one H2H league soon turned into 4 leagues, due to its popularity
Based on the English league format we now have a Premier League, Championship, League 1, & League 2 with promotion & relegation (3 up, 3 down) with a knockout Cup run every 5 gameweeks. I also added a new competition this year “The Banterbury Shield” (where the top 4 teams in each league at Christmas qualify for a 2nd half of the season Champions League type format).
At the start of this season I had so many managers wanting to enter the leagues that we had to open a Qualification League with the top 3 teams at the end of the season earning a invite into the H2H Leagues for the next season.
Premier
It was a nightmare game-week for the top 4, as they all suffered defeat. Bottom of the table Killer Instincts pulled off the biggest shock by beating pace-setters Cookie’s Monsters 89-77, while defeats for Reubens Rioters, Where’s The Dosh? & Bocadillo Allstars have seen them all slip a couple of places to 4th, 5th& 6th. New boys to the Premier, Arsene’s Boys, move up to 2nd and reigning Champions, Park Bench Exports, now sit 3rd and both have joined Cookie Monsters at the top, albeit with a much inferior goal difference. Eddy Hitler XI lose a tight game to Buzz’s Bomb Squad 55-54 but stay 7th and wins for Gasco’s athletic, Horse FC, I LOVES THE CAKE & Pork n Cheese United keep them all in the hunt for a Shield place come Christmas, At the bottom two of the leagues big guns are now in the drop zone – THE MUTTS NUTS hit the bottom as they lose again, their 10th defeat in 12 outings, but the bigger shock is to see last season 3rd place Kop Warriors fall into the relegation spots zone. Wins for Kojak’s Fireball & Buzz’s Bomb Squad see them move 4 points clear of the bottom 5, who if they are not careful could become involved in their own mini league for survival

Championship
The top spot in this League seems to change hands every week, This week elleffcee has the honour, with WhoIsRonaldo dropping to 4th after a 69-66 defeat to FC Tom Tomsk. James 101 falls out of a Shield place to 5th losing 85-69 to Buzzilona, Gallowgators move up to 2nd, while Real Morbid climbs three places to 3rd after winning the derby in the Kirk household and leaving his dads team, Pathético Morbid, rock bottom. A win for Son of a Pitch sees them take 7th spot & will now see him eyeing a Shield place. Down at the bottom, The Gallant Pioneers lose again and drop back into trouble, Red Magic win but stay in the bottom 3, Mito’s Mercenaries lose 82-56 to Balotellibubbies, meaning they swap places and twitter maestro Mito is now sitting just one place above the drop,

League 1
Well what can we say about the Powerful Potty FC? Still breaking every Banterbury league record in the book with 11 wins & a draw from his 12 games, they are now just one win from almost certainly being the first team guaranteed a spot in the Banterbury Shield in the New Year. We love Manchester remain in 2nd and in pursuit of Potty, while Monty (CazDaz) & CFC (Awesome) swap places in 3rd & 4th. Bodene’s Army win again to stay 5th, wins also for Bradbury Park Avenue & DavesRedDevils see them move up to 6th & 7th. Elsewhere wins for Fergie’s Henchmen, Nosgoth, Slumdog Mignolet & Sporting Abeergut move them away from the danger zone. The five teams at the bottom all lost so there is no change, with poor Nifty’s Hotshots in 19th losing 9 in a row & The Special One remain in perilous position having lost 10 out of their last 11.

League 2
Norfulk-in-chance made up for last week’s defeat to win this game-week and still holds top position, while WhiteBoysDay lost to Wavey Squad & drop from 2nd to 5th with Wavey taking his place in 2nd. E For Idiot & CR win and they make up the top 4. Elsewhere, wins for Manlet FC & Denbow’s Degenerates move them to 6th & 7th. At the bottom, Prata manages to get off the foot for the first time this season and replacing him are destroyers, though all the bottom 5 are on 12 points so a few victories will see any of them climb into safety and away from relegation and the horror of losing their Banterbury Leagues status.

Evening all…
Ok, after seeing Man Utd cruise past Leverkuzen + keeping a clean sheet !
makes me re-think my strategy !
:satansmoking:
HL
Rooney got 4 assists tonight – hoping UEFA catch up on that – currently only on 3 and he’s my captain!
I’m still not sure of their defense so I’d consider DDG, Rooney or RVP.
I don’t have Roo in my CL team …
But I have Reus & Vidal …
on 67pts atm…
yourself ?
HL
61 just now. I reckon it should be 67 though.
We’ll see . . .
Nice scoring.
evening HL i have be thinking utd defence myself for a couple of weeks
Bench, mate…
I was thinking Evans, but even Smalling doesn’t look like a bad option, tbh…
@StuBrennanMEN now
Aguero is fine – it was agreed beforehand he would only play 45 minutes.
Collective sigh of relief!
Thanks for the update
Bench.
A fine article mate.
Me and my staff at Powerful Potty Fc do now realize that we as a Footballing giant can quite easily win the Banterbury Division 1 by easter.
Happy Days in Pottys World.
Potty
Potty i hope to pit my wits against you in the shield in the new year, may the best man win mate 😉
Nothing to see here, keep walking to the next article, nothing to see here.
Evening all.
Feel like I am missing out not having a CL fantasy team will have to get involved next season.
Any suggestions on a replacement for baines this week, my team is linked…
Floydeth – created a team last week, myself…
Not too late for ya, too…just to get yourself involved in the game and feel the vibe 😉 …
For next season, the lads here will do smtng, imho…
We’re gonna have MLS/CL/Bench-es leagues/Potty’s prediction games – a lot to keep ourselves ocupied
:satansmoking:
To keep you occupied HL and make me incredibly busy!! …and dont forget to add the World Cup to our list 😉
Floydeth – busy is good, mate
Get a team in the CL and join the fun…
p.s. Tnx 4 all the effort, mate !!!
*Result = Brilliant site !
HL
Floydeth. Iv no team. Shall we put 1 in? #jointpact aka goonsquad?
Sounds like a plan Chopper…. get one set up!
With my expertise an yr wealth it cud be like 9/11 x 100!
I dont have a team neither…
Pvr no fret. The pact is getting bigger. U need to put something in tho. Floy has wealth. I have expertise. Scones?
Scones? Sure I can do that… 😉
Chopper – the pact verses the mans’s is it? Can you expand?
Lovely. I.ll sort it
For u. If rep ireland can have more than 1 manager then so can we.
Boss, I say Terry seems an ideal replacement considering their schedule.
He is on my short list Mito but wanted Hazard as well (in next week for Nasri) so will be keeping Oscar… is that chelsea over kill?
I always separate the defence/Keepers from the Mids/Forwards. I think 2 mids might be overkill, but would not worry about having players from the same team if they were from different categories, say defensively reliant vs offensively reliant for points. Having said that combos sure have worked well this season.
Saints/Spurs/Toffee defenders
SaS/Ramzil/Kun&Yaya
So could well work considering their schedule.
Cheers Mito, was only going to keep both Oscar and Hazard for a few gameweeks so Terry does fit into my long term plans. Hoping to hold off till fri/sat, depending on how much Baines drops…
Floydeth (SS) – I agree with Mito,Terry might be the best shout to replace Baines,if you fancy a punt Jonny Evans seems to be picking up some form,he’s been great for me at times in previous seasons, worth consideration i suppose, major bargain at 5m too, provided he stays in the team but i don’t see who else United will play.
To be honest,he’s very, very high on my radar too.
NIN – Gonna hold of from United defenders for a few gameweeks as hoping to bring De Gea in before xmas as part of my reshuffle
Hi lads, just found the site!!
