Hello again from Banterbury HQ , I trust you all had a fab New Year. It’s been a busy time here at HQ with the continuation of the leagues, the 4th round of the Cup and the up and coming start of the Shield. Banterbury Leagues Premier Cookie’s Monsters recorded his 16th win of the campaign, beating Where’s The Dosh? to stay top – The Dosh, who qualified for the Shield, has lost his last two and are 12pts behind Cookie now and have fallen to 6th place. Arsene’s Boys & Bench also win to keep the pressure on Cookie and stay 2nd and 3rd respectively, while Bocadillo Allstars win in the both Cup and the League and are 4th , holding a 5 point lead over 5th Pork n Cheese United. Reubens Rioters, Gasco’s athletic & Horse FC all move up a place to 7th, 8th & 9t...[Read More]
So the Banterbury Review has had a bit of a Christmas break, but the leagues have had anything but! We now have our 16 qualifiers for the Shield, which starts in game-week 21 (Jan 11th). On New Year’s Day we have round 4 of the Banterbury Cup. So as we enter the second half of the season the leagues are really coming to life!! A lot of teams will not just be thinking about promotion or relegation but they will also be dreaming of cup glory or of winning the shield, which in my eyes is the ultimate glory. Ok so we will now go around the leagues, cup & shield with me your host Bench and I’ll try and update you as best I can!
Hello and welcome again to The Banterbury Leagues review. We are at game-week 16 and some massive games have been played and 8 more teams have joined Bench & Potty in securing their place in the Banterbury Shield to start in GW21 (January 11th-13th). There are still 6 spots up for grabs around the leagues in the final qualification game-week, next weekend. So without further ado let’s go round the leagues and find out who are falling in to the drop-zones or who are sitting pretty at the top & everything in between. As ever we start with the premier league. Premier Cookie’s Monsters regains top spot and secures his place in the shield after beating Horse FC 11th 73-65. Joining him in the shield and moving up to 2nd are Arsene’s Boys who beat Gasco’s athletic 8th 82...[Read More]
Gameweek 13 Review Premier Cookie’s Monsters stay top and all but end Eddy Hitler XI hopes of a shield place. Arsene’s Boys & Park Bench Exports remain hot on his tail with wins over bottom place THE MUTTS NUTS & Bocadillo Allstars. Making up the final shield place is Reubens Rioters, while Where’s The Dosh? are 5th after beating Kop Warriors and it looks like a fight for the 4 places will come from these 5 teams. A key fixture could well be when Rioters play the Dosh in GW16. A few teams will feel they still have a chance as there are 12 points still to be played for, one of them being Gasco’s athletic who sit 6th and are one of only two teams in the Banterbury leagues this GW to be centurions, they are 4pts off that last sought after sh...[Read More]
The Banterbury H2H Leagues are now in their second season and were originally formed to give a few of us seasoned FF managers a real challenge, and what started of as one H2H league soon turned into 4 leagues, due to its popularity Based on the English league format we now have a Premier League, Championship, League 1, & League 2 with promotion & relegation (3 up, 3 down) with a knockout Cup run every 5 gameweeks. I also added a new competition this year “The Banterbury Shield” (where the top 4 teams in each league at Christmas qualify for a 2nd half of the season Champions League type format). At the start of this season I had so many managers wanting to enter the leagues that we had to open a Qualification League with the top 3 teams at the end of the season earning a...[Read More]

Hello and welcome to the game-week 15 review of the Banterbury Leagues. Now to the action and we start with the Premier League. Premier Park Bench Exports go top after beating his bogey side UD Stoke who did the double over Bench last term. This is Bench’s 8th win in a row, though 5 of those wins have been by 5 points or less, he has been very fortunate indeed. This win has also guaranteed Bench’s place in the Shield in the New Year. Cookie’s Monsters drop to 2nd and are having a bit of a wobble after losing to his great rival Kop Warriors, his defeat will be even more hurtful as Kop will now have bragging rights till they meet again in mid-April next year. Despite this defeat, Cookie needs just a point to be playing Shield football in the New Year. Odds on to join these two ar...[Read More]
