Banterbury Leagues Round Up Gameweek 13 & 14

Gameweek 13 Review

Premier 

Cookie’s Monsters  stay top and all but end  Eddy Hitler XI  hopes of a shield place.   Arsene’s Boys  &  Park Bench Exports remain hot on his tail with wins over bottom place THE MUTTS NUTS  &  Bocadillo Allstars.   Making up the final shield place is  Reubens Rioters, while Where’s The Dosh?  are 5th after beating  Kop Warriors  and it looks like a fight for the 4 places will come from these 5 teams. A key fixture could well be when  Rioters  play the Dosh in GW16. A few teams will feel they still have a chance as there are 12 points still to be played for, one of them being  Gasco’s athletic  who sit 6th and are one of only two teams in the Banterbury leagues this GW to be centurions, they are 4pts off that last sought after shield spot. In mid-table,  Horse fc moved to 8th after beating  I LOVES THE CAKE  who drop to 11th, while   Rising Phoenix  are up to 10th after their win over  Kojak’s Fireball.  Meanwhile at the bottom  Killer Instincts’  fine form continues with a 3rd straight win after a dreadful start to season and this win was more important as it was against one of his fellow struggles  TheKopKnightRISES. There was also a big win for  UD Stoke  moving them up a place to 16th

Championship 

Again we have a change of leaders as  elleffcee,  who were top, drop to 4th after a hammering from bottom club  Pathético Morbid  86-35.  Gallowgators  hit top spot for the first time this season, while ever-present in the top 6  WhoIsRonaldo  &  James 101  move 2nd & 3rd. Making a late push for a shield place is  Son of a Pitch  who have won their last 6 games and are only a point from that magic qualification spot. Still in with a shout are  Real Morbid,  One Under Parr,  Shylass @ the finish  &  FC Tom Tomsk,  but all will need a win in GW16. The bottom 3 remain the same despite only   Red Magic losing to  Mito’s Mercenaries  who move up two place to 15th and a draw for  The Gallant Pioneers  keep them 19th.  Pathético Morbid  stay bottom but are now just 2 points from safety.

League 1 

So the Powerful Potty Fc  unbeaten run comes to an end, surprisingly to the bottom club  The SpecialOne  but stay a massive 7 points clear at the top as 2nd place  we love manchester  also slip to defeat to  Nosgoth  (raz)    and drop a place in the table.   Monty (Caz Daz)  take advantage moving up to 2nd after beating  Bodene’s Army  comfortably leaving bodene’s side now 5 points off a shield place with just 4 game-weeks left in which to qualify. CFC(Awesome)  beat 3rd from bottom   IFM PaLmeRo  to stay 4th,    DavesRedDevils  (deano)  move up to 5th and must be thinking of sneaking a top 4 place.  Fergie’s Henchmen  have hit a bit of form & have won their last 4. Elsewhere, wins for BRYAN MUNICH FC,  Sporting Abeergut, FC Eire Lilium  &  Schnitzel palace  see them all move up in the league. But, at the Bottom  Nifty’s Hotshots  now own an unwanted Banterbury record and have lost 10 in row.

League 2 

Top 4 remain the same in this very tight league,  Norfulk-in-chance  stay top despite his 2nd defeat in 3 games,  Wavey Squad  stay 2nd,  E For Idiot   beat CR, meaning the top 3 all have 27pts from their 13 matches. CR really needs to start looking over his shoulder as 3 points separate them in 4th from  ChelseaFTW  in 10th.   Destined Champions  move to 5th & demise  Bring on ze Trumpets  climb to 6th, ALSED FC  win a tight game 60-56 against  White Boys Day. At the bottom, there were wins for  Arsene’s Profit, Owls Rule  and  Wanderers1869  who amassed a score of 104. Finally a well done to Prata  who moved out of the drop zone.

Gameweek 14 Review

Premier

Cookie’s Monsters train keeps rolling on and remains top after beating Gasco’s athletic 103-54. 2nd  placed Arsene’s Boys lost to the inform team in the league Killer Instincts, who have now won their last 4 including 2 wins against teams in the top 4, this win also moves them out of the drop zone for the first time this season, the defeat for Arsene’s Boys sees them drop to 4th. Last season’s champions Park Bench Exports also won and go 2nd level on points with Cookie, he really has had the rub of the green this year as his overall score is nearly 100 points lower than the Cookie’s Monsters and only the 9th best overall. As they say though, you need a bit of luck to win any championship, could he win back to back titles?  Moving into 3rd are Where’s The Dosh? who beat Horse FC 105-82 and are just 3 points behind the top two. 5th place Reubens Rioters lost to Rising Phoenix 92-79, their 2nd defeat on the bounce and this could be vital with qualification for the shield ending soon. 6th place Bocadillo Allstars won 83-51 against Prutsers; allemaal after suffering two big defeat against their shield rivals in last two game-weeks. Eddy Hitler XI also won, beating I LOVES THE CAKE 96-75 and in doing so have moved up to 7th and keep alive their very slight chance of making the shield. At the bottom poor THE MUTTS NUTS lose again and are 7 points adrift at the foot of the table and have lost their last 9 games, time to sell RvP Mutts? UD Stoke beat fellow strugglers TheKopKnightRISES 111-100 moving them to 13th and TheKopKnightRISES second defeat in two game weeks against teams in & around the bottom. Great news for Kop Warriors who beat Buzz’s Bomb Squad 95-84 and he must now be eyeing safety, big game up next though as Cookie (Man Utd) of the league play Kop the (Liverpool) of the league.

Championship 

The top 8 remain the same in this league & the top 6 all won, Gallowgators beat his sons side Buzzilona to stay top. 2nd place WhoIsRonaldo beat bottom of the league Pathético Morbid, James 101 & elleffcee also won and make up the top 4. Son of a Pitch who are 5th won again and still have dreams of being in the top 4 come Christmas, also still hoping to qualify are Real Morbid in 6th but they have a really tough run of fixtures coming up, James 101 GW15, elleffcee GW16 & Gallowgators GW17. Staying 7th & 8th are One Under Parr & Shylass @ the finish though both lost, while moving to 9th are Borussia Teeth. In the bottom half Mito’s Mercenaries won his second game in a row after flirting with the drop-zone and moves up to 13th and 5 points away from the relegation zone.  Pathético Morbid lose again and stay bottom, while The Gallant Pioneers also lost to Red Magic 110-84 meaning they stay 2nd bottom. A win for Red Magic sees them move out of the relegation zone and they are replaced by Balotellibubbies.

League 1 

Well the legend that is Powerful Potty Fc has decided to give everyone in this league a chance, and has lost his last 2 matches, his latest defeat coming against one of his title rivals, 3rd place  CFC(Awesome) and his lead has been cut to just 4 points as second place Monty (Caz Daz) beat Nosgoth (raz) 108-85. Currently in the final shield place are we love manchester though his form must be a worry to him after losing his last two, this time to Slumdog Mignolet. Fergie’s Henchmen are the real form team in this league and are climbing at a rate of knots, after beating inittowinit*** who drop to 13th, they move in to 5th just 3 points behind we love Manchester. In 6th is DavesRedDevils who were beaten by BRYAN MUNICH FC 99-54. Meanwhile at the bottom, on the back of beating Potty last week The SpecialOne won again and move off the bottom, replacing them are poor Nifty’s Hotshots who has had a massive  fall from grace, top of the table after GW3 with 3 wins from 3, to bottom with 11 straight defeats. IFM PaLmeRo won to move out of the bottom 3, meaning that The Flying Indian slips to 3rd from bottom.

League 2

Norfulk-in-chance got back to winning ways and stay top, while defeat for Wavey Squad 95-65 to Prata see them drop to 4th. E For Idiot move up to 2nd after beating bottom club destroyers, while CR move up a place to 3rd beating ChelseaFTW 106-104 in a high scoring contest. In 5th & 6th are ALSED FC & White Boys Day who are 3 points off the top 4. Amazingly just 4 points separate Destined Champions in 7th and Prata in 16th. At the bottom destroyers stay last, Gunnersaurus win to move out of the bottom 3, meaning both Wanderers1869 & Bryan Munich drop a spot to 18th and 19th respectively.

Banterbury Cup 

Well the Banterbury Cup rolls into town in GW15 for Round 3 (last 32).

Here are my pick of the ties.  Firstly, we have top of the Premier Cookie’s Monsters up against GPrileys league 1 hotshots, we love manchester. My second pick is  Reubens Rioters (4th in the Premier) Vs WhoIsRonaldo who are 2nd in the Championship and if you’re  looking for an upset, maybe keep an eye on Owls Rule (NZ Alex) who are 14th in  League 2 Vs elleffcee, who sit 4th in the championship. Banterbury Qualification League H2H

Just a quick note, this league runs to game-week 36, where the top 8 qualify for the knock-out rounds, with the winner earning a place into the leagues, who will be the last team standing come GW38?
