Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW12. We are sure you all remember the infamous Potty’s Predictions. Well, it’s back, sort of! Same skin, new hosts. Think Countdown and Carol Vorderman. And Rachel Riley. Did we lose you for a minute there?! Get your minds back out of the gutter and back on the Chuckle Brothers. That ought to do it. So, who the heck are Barry and Paul we hear you ask? It’s simply what we affectionately refer to regular site writers Matt and Rosco as behind the scenes. And so it was only fitting that the hapless duo combined to fill the sizeable shoes of Potty to bring you the new weekly Predictions Comp. There will be prizes too. Each weekly winner will be the proud recipient of an FF247 t-shirt. So without further ado, here’s from us to them, to explain more…
Hello and welcome folks!
We’ll dive straight into the scoring and rules for the competition which could not be simpler!
Each week, we’ll add the fixtures for the upcoming Game week to the end of our article. Simply cut and paste the fixtures into a comment box, add your predicted scores for each match, and tell us who you think
will score the first goal of the game week. You’ll then score points for every correct prediction
you make, the scoring will be as follows:
Correct Score = 3pts
Correct Result = 1 pt
Correct First Goalscorer = 5pts
The rules are few; 1 entry per person, and all entries must be submitted prior to the first game
of the game week. Once all games have been played, we’ll count up the scores and the winner(s)
will be announced in the following weeks competition article.

Hey Smash, if the Arse/Spurs game produces goals, as per your 2-2, the first goalscorer of the gw must come from this game. Its the early kick-off game.
No it doesn’t! Not necessarily anyway. If he’s hedging his bets then Morata is fine.
Probably a learning for the chucklers next week to stick the times on somewhere though.
Yeah, next week we will make sure the earliest kick off has an asterisk or something to tell people which one is first.

Evening gang. So I used my ft for cedric to Mee! Have 1.1 itb. I was contemplating either otamendi to azpilcueta or Ritchie to Richarlison for a minus 4! What do you guys think?
I think I’d do the Richarlson move personally. Difficult to justify the hit. Don’t like the other move

I suggested that but it then doesn’t work for mid week games over Xmas so we decided on first game of weekend. It just didn’t come across like that this week haha
No! Just 1st goal scorer of the week. Doesn’t matter what you predict for the first game. It can still be 0-0 even if you said 7-7. And then the first scorer could be any time after that. Capiche?

I would just like to point out that even any amount of goals in the first game will not count if they are own goals.
So it could be 1-1 with a Rose OG and a Mertesacker OG and we’re still on to the 3pms for the first goal.

I called Koscielny own goal as the first goal this weekend so gonna need the rules confirmed so I know if I have to change that guess…
