      Yet again, another fascinating draw, a repeat of last year’s final and 2 potential derbies. Arsenal’s (potential) incredibly tough FA Cup run continues!

    Fixtures are nigh on sorted now for GW 29

    Cardiff City – Fulham
    Chelsea – Totteringham Hotspurs
    Crystal Palace – Southampton
    Norwich City – Stoke City
    West Brom – Man United
    West Ham – Hull (Still undecided)

    ATM I’ve 5 players out with 2 possibles so let’s play higher or lower, how many do you have missing for what could be a make or break GW 29 smile

      Cheers, Andy, that makes stuff clear. There’s always the hope of other matches being rescheduled during GW29 as B-bash noted above, but I’m not counting on it for reasons people discussed already. So, to answer the question, for GW29 I’m lower – on 4 plus possible 2 (come on Brighton!!).

      What to do? Well, not panic – many people are in the same boat, and most of the teams playing in GW29 have poor-value players (fpl-wise). It’s simply not worth making a big effort to field more players in GW29 only to transfer them out again. The players who don’t play in GW29 will get DGWs in later weeks, so it’s sound to hold onto them. I’ll see how things go in GWs 27 and 28 and maybe make a short-term change – though none of the GW29 matches looks one-sided, so maybe it’s not even worth bothering with one change.

    I have 0.6m and 2 FTs between now and GW 29, how much shit am I in? Currently:

    Boruc | Mannone
    Sagna | Collins | Distin | Vlaar | Ward
    Hazard | Mirallas | Mata | Silva | Noone
    Suárez | Adebayor | Sturridge

      From 13 outfield players I think I have 8 without a GW 29 fixture…

      • Andy says:

        It depends really, by the time GW 29 rolls round most of the DGW’s I think will be allocated which is why I think GW 29 will be so important, a lot of managers will have tough decisions on whether or not to bench players and go with 9 or 10 or go all out for it with multiple hits. We’ve plenty of time for the fixtures to be sorted out but till then James currently I’d say you were neck deep in it.

        • jamesimmo says:

          Thanks for that Andy 😉 but I guess on a serious note, there’s no point in lying to ourselves here, as it wouldn’t help the situation.

          If West Ham v Hull goes ahead, then I could field a GK plus 6 players. With two transfers, probably Silva and then Sagna out, I could have 8 outfield players.

          That’s possibly 9 out of 11, with no hits. Still neck deep, but I have hope…

      • Common Sense says:

        James no reason to fret as of yet. Let the days roll on, rescheduling of fixtures will show you the path. Champions league in midweek, so transfers can be forced upon you that you are not taking into account. The closer you let the deadline approach the clearer the correct path will be.

    Szczesny (Davis)
    Baines – Kolarov – Azpi (Parr – Bruce)
    Hazard (VC) – Mata – Lallana – Eriksen (Noone)
    Studge (C) – Jovetic – Suarez
    2 FTs, 1.9 itb

    This week:
    Baines -> Fonte/Dawson

    Next week:
    Jovetic -> Adebayor
    Kolarov -> Dawson/Fonte/Reid

    Sounds good?

      Tekno-Kun, They sound like reasonable moves for now, but until we get a better picture of the fixtures it’s hard to say if the Baines move is the correct move. Could turn out to be a transfer you wish you had back. I see you will soon have a Keeper problem heading into game week 29 also. Don’t think I would drop all my blank game week players. In fact I would hold 2 or 3 if possible on the bench. In particular ones with 2 or more doubles on the horizon like City and Everton players are.
