Bundesliga Fantasy Football 2019/20
GW34 DEADLINE SATURDAY 27th June 2:30PM GMT
With the Bundesliga seemingly taking over the bulk of the chat on site (understandably, given as it’s the only game in town right now) we have decided to (tried to!) move the chat onto its own specific article to allow others space to chat about FPL, dandelions or whatever they wish elsewhere, so that they aren’t simply left muttering ‘Das ist mir Wurst’ to themselves all summer.
We will not do a fresh Live Match Chat for each week, we shall simply update this one as we go along with the latest deadlines and fixtures. We shall endeavour to post the line-ups prior to each phase of the relevant GW and our usual FPL Countdown Timer (to be found above the latest comments section) has been temporarily handed over to Bundesliga.
Tips will be dispensed in the chat below (mainly by Mito we would imagine) but feel free to get involved in said chat, whether that’s asking for advice or answering others.
The games in full… GW34
Bundesliga Fixture Tracker
The main inspiration for us creating a fresh FBL article was Ivan and his willingness to volunteer to create a fixture tracker to deal with the remaining games. Mito got his crayons out and helped fill it in. Many thanks to both.
Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 29 from all at FF247!
Hi everybody – good to hear the footy is back. I’ll be rejoining you all, after this huge break. I’m sorry, but apart from Haaland, Sancho & Jonjo (obviously others, but have forgotten them!), plus Eden H & Leroy S’s brothers, I know nothing about German football – just call me the Sgt Schultz of FPL (for those of you old enuff to remember ‘Hogan’s Heroes’)!
Watched my first game of NRL (rugby league in Aust.) yesterday, and I have to admit that I have a fantasy team in that comp too (probably destined to do badly, as am as socially distanced from Australia as is humanly possible, and have been for years!). It’s a highly entertaining sport, but if you were brought up on ‘soccer’, then you probably wouldn’t appreciate it that much. I love the commentaries, as there are many ex-players involved who use ‘malapropisms’ (one word for another that sounds similar but has a different meaning) and hugely ‘botched’ expressions (often 2 expressions, sort of ‘sticky-taped’ together, like “He’s really got to pull up his thinking brain’, rather than ‘He’s really got to pull up his socks’, or ‘He’s really got to put his thinking cap on’; and other countless amazingly unique examples of ‘massacre of the English language’).
Honestly, it’s all round entertainment – the sports action is great from an athletic point of view, and the commentators provide a real laugh – adding excitement, as well as making inroads to the ‘evolution of English as a tool for communication’.
Anyway, that WAS a ramble wasn’t it? I’m afraid I’m suffering ‘post lockdown introspection syndrome’ (or PLIS – as we sufferers often say, ‘PLIS be kind to me!’) but have not yet stooped to having an Instagram account- which would not be hugely successful, as the ‘middle aged Aussie male’ profile probably does not rank highly in the list of probable future ‘Instagram Influencers’!
Cheerio and more later – I’ll try to keep my eye on the ball in future! I’m just so excited about being back!
So it appears that Liverpool will not be allowed to play their remaining home games at Anfield. What’s more, the Merseyside derby is unlikely to be played at Goodison. So much for maintaining the integrity of the league!
There’s no fans so home advantage is pretty much gone anyway so that brings an end to the integrity of the league. Plus this is the case for different fixtures so it’s not a level playing field regardless
So why do Liverpool not get to play at Anfield and other clubs get to play at home?
Have they announced the neutral venues yet. Every team then ain’t going to play at their own grounds like Liverpool then. Though they have won the league anyway
From what I’ve read, Liverpool won’t play any games at Anfield and a few other ‘big’ games will be played at neutral venues. All other games will then we played where they were supposed to be played. Nothing official yet.
I appreciate Liverpool will probably win the league, but that doesn’t make this right.
They just won’t be allowed to win the title at Anfield.
However, this suggests that only these games will be played at neutral venues.
OK, 3.0 ITB
Option 1: Kenny is leaving for Pekarik to generate some dosh. Then, Haaland and Kainz out for Hazard and Steffen.
Or, Option 2: As above with Pekarik plus Cunha and Guerreiro.
Probably option 1 for me
Ta Mito, that was my choice too.
News on Lenz: “Things are looking a bit better for Lenzi, he was able to train with the team today. So he’s on the right track. We’ll see if it’s enough for Sunday. Tomorrow is the final training, I think that’s important how he shows himself, how he feels.”

Returnees announce themselves “bit by bit”, said Favre, “especially Jadon and Emre”. The coach seems to plan with Sancho (for Haaland) and Can (for Dahoud) in the starting XI.
Schubert could be in trouble
Wagner: “Everyone, whether field player or goalkeeper, must call up the performance to justify playing again. I will not give a guarantee on any position or for any period of time, this would not be appropriate in our situation.”
Predicted line ups as always the red means a difference between Kicker and Bundesliga in the XI.

Freiburg XI
Leverkusen XI
Anyone looking for some punts or ways to raise cash
Wirtz for Leverkusen and Kubler for Freiburg are cheap, not sure I pick up either, but if you need a sure starter at least they are confirmed.
Oh well, Gulde benched but I didn’t expect much from him
That’s me for this weekend :meeting:
