Bundesliga Fantasy Football 2023/24
With the Bundesliga also nearing a start we figured we give it a home again that way you Bundesliga managers have a home to discuss bad transfers and terrible captaincy choices.
We won’t be posting a weekly article, but we will keep this article up and though it will disappear from the front of the site, just use the “Hot Topics” link on the right to find your way back to this chat.
We will do our best to post relevant tweets and links to pages that are helpful in fantasy on the chat below so you all have the best possible help.
Bundesliga Fantasy rules changes season- 2024/25
Unlike previous seasons, now you can select only 3 players from each team. That shouldn’t be a great shock as we are well used in the FPL.
New points system goes huge:
80 points for a goal from a forward, 100 for a midfielder and 120 for a defender. Wait, a massive 200 points if somehow your goalkeeper scores. Assists are rewarded from 40 to 150 points, depending on position. Penalty saves get 120, bonuses of 20 for a brace and 60 for a hatrick are added too.
For a first time, dribble earns you 5 points, challenge won, either on the air or the ground, gets 5 points as well. Every successful cross brings 7 points and 1 for every successful pass.
On the flipside:
Deduction of 20 points for a yellow card, get a second one and it’s another – 60. Miss a spot kick is -60, scoring an own goal -80, every foul prompts 5 and a massive -100 for a strait red card.

Any Bundes players around?
On 128 points and 3 players to go for tomorrow. Don’t know if I can use all of them as everyone on the pitch, apart from one defender scored well
Very good score Ivan. I might risk Nkunku to sub in for 7 points otherwise the bench stays unused. Note that you can’t sub out a player who has got minus by being sent off but you used to be able to remove him from the field and not replace. Don’t know if they closed that loophole
Otieno, just removed the one with -1 and brought in Nkunku. Will make last minute decision for the other two but most likely they will be left on the bench.
With no more Lewandowski and Haaland in the FBL any ideas where to start?

Not really thought about looking at it as yet but the best (2nd hand) news I have is from Dortmund is that Terzic seems to prefer 4-3-3.
Kobel at 10.0 will be my first choice GK. I can’t see any of the new signing challenging him.
Defs Meunier 8.0 is good value. More attacking is Sule (11.0) but avoid Guerrero @12.0 I think he will be out of favour and may leave.
Mids Ozcan may be worth a look at 7.0. Decent value for a mostly nailed on mid but v little upside. Bellingham avoid at all costs, plays too deep and too expensive.
Att Adeyami is the pick for me at 12.0. Reus is reliable but expensive. Reyna might get rotated. Haller 15.0 could be the man if you need a star fwd.

Most likely I will go with the tried and tested. Muller, Kimmich, Reus, Nkunku, Angelino……….
Surely next week will find out what the starting template will be.
I’m going to leave Bayern till last. or I’ll just be scratting around the 2m for a dead player
RBL Leipzig news
(Internet research only – no inside info)
GK – Gulaksi will be unchallenged at first choice but with an injury decimated defence and at 10m maybe not a good prospect.
Def – Who is fit?
Angelino, Orban & Klostermann are certain to start. I was hoping that Hendricks might be a cheap option but at 9.0 thats borderline because he’s likely to be rotated once Simakan, Mukiele, Guardiol are fit.
Mid – Very close choices here because my preferences have been classified as forwards. I can’t justify 15.0 for Nkunku so probably the pick is Hadara at 11.0
Fwd – Easy choice for me although I would prefer him to be in the mid section. Danni Olmo (12.0) is a first pick in my team
