Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 33

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 33 Here we go boys and girls, double game-week FPL kicks off this season with Everton and Palace playing “double bubble” for those managers investing in their assets. With much of the focus centred around this DGW and then the biggie next week, it’s a wise fantasy manager who keeps his eyes on the other fixtures outside of the doubles. And we do have some corking matches this week to stir your FPL loins. First up we have a good ol’ knees up in the East End as West Ham host the Arsenal. Five 3pm kick offs follow as Bournemouth travel to nail the Villa, Palace open their DGW at home to Norwich, the Saints host Newcastle, Chelsea travel to Swansea and Everton begin their double at Watford. The evening sees a potential goal fest for ...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 32

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 32 FPL is back!! The dreaded international break is over, it’s time to stop the planning, soul searching, screwing up drafts of potential wildcard team and get back to winning some points and climbing those rankings again! Our gameweek kicks off Saturday lunchtime as Chelsea visit the nearly relegated Villa for what many hope will be a profitable start to GW32. Six 3pm matches follow as title chasing Arsenal welcome Watford, Champions League chasing Man City go to Bournemouth, relegation fighting Norwich and Newcastle meet at Carrow Road, nothing chasing Stoke host nothing chasing Swansea, battle hardened Sunderland entertain West Brom and winless wonders Crystal Palace take the short trip to top four wannabe West Ham. The early evening match sees...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 30

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 30 Welcome to GW30 and I have to ask – “Why can’t every gameweek be like this?” Just five matches and ten pressers makes life so much easier. Well when I say easier, I mean easier to write up, not necessarily to plan for or negotiate from a FPL point of view. So, despite there only being five matches, our gameweek is still spread over three days!! We kick off in Norfolk as Man City visit Norwich. Just two 3pm kick offs follow as Bournemouth host Swansea and Stoke welcome Southampton. Fast forward then onto Sunday and 4pm for our only match that day as Spurs look to bounce back from last week’s draw as they take on the doomed Villans. Then fast forward again, this time to Monday evening as our gameweek is wrapped up by leade...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 29

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 29 Allo, it’s me again! We’re getting far too familiar aren’t we?! It feels like we only spoke a couple of days ago…ah. It’s got so bad that my wife is accusing me of having an affair and is questioning me as to who this “Ben Dinnery character” is that I keep shouting to in my sleep. Anyway, we’re good to go for GW29 and we kick off with a blockbuster North London derby as Spurs host the Gooners at the Lane in a match that may well determine who is best equipped to challenge Leicester for the title. Six 3pm matches follow – Mark Hughes returns to Chelsea with his Stoke side, Slaven Bilic returns to Goodison with his Happy Hammers and errrr Scott Sinclair returns to Man City with his Villa mates. Bour...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 28

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 28 Joy, another game-week, not much time to rest around here is there? Truly these midweek game-weeks I despise, no sooner has one stopped listening to the managers’ bollox than we have to go through it all again. And again in 2/3 days time for GW29 ffs. You think I’m moody now, just wait till Friday. Oh well, best get on with it. Our wonderful, fun, exciting gameweek begins tonight with five matches, all kicking off at 19.45 – how sweet. Everton go to Villa, good luck on the M6. The Saints have a much shorter journey as they travel to Bournemouth. Leicester welcome West Brom, Norwich host Chelsea and Palace have the worst journey of the lot as they go to Sunderland. Lucky things – just what you want on a Tuesday night, the only ...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 24

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW24 Welcome to GW24 and it’s another of our beloved midweek game-weeks, where we are hopeful of a major captain’s contribution and our mini-league comrades not realising there are any matches at all! Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 25

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 25 No time to think, no time to celebrate or recover, Game-week 25 is here! This is fantasy football utopia for many and fantasy football hell for those not doing so great. But whatever your position, we bat on and come what may, we’ll have some fun along the way. After our midweek fun, it’s a more traditional weekend set of fixtures kicked off with a top of the table clash as Man City host Leicester at the Etihad. Six 3pm matches follow as Villa welcome Norwich, Sunderland travel to Liverpool, Newcastle entertain West Brom, Spurs and Watford clash at the Lane, Everton take the short trip to Stoke and Palace look forward to a Saturday afternoon in Swansea. Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 22

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW22 Truly there is no rest for the wicked FPL manager – no sooner has GW21 finished then three days later GW22 kicks off. No time to cry or moan or despair on a low scoring week. But this is what we all love, the fast moving, non-stop, relentless decisions on who to captain, who to buy, who to leave out, whilst trying to dodge a Mitro RMT request. We kick off Saturday lunchtime with Spurs taking on Big Sam’s Sunderland – we then have five 3pm matches as Bournemouth welcome Norwich, Chelsea host Everton, Crystal Palace travel to Man City, Newcastle and West Ham do battle and Southampton face West Brom. The evening match sees Mahrez and Vardy lick their lips at the thought of Leicester’s match at Villa. Sunday sees two matches – the f...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 23

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW23 Here we go again! Welcome to GW23 and with many buoyed by an improved performance in GW22 the sentiment is better and most are happy bunnies again. Our gameweek begins in carrot crunching country as Liverpool visit Norwich at lunchtime. We then have six 3pm kick offs with some derby action – Palace and Spurs fight it out at Selhurst Park and Villa and West Brom probably really will fight it out at the Hawthorns. Leicester and Stoke also meet and though not an official derby, they’re not too far away from each other. It’s all double Dutch at Old Trafford as Southampton come to town, Bournemouth take the long trip north to face Sunderland and Newcastle take the slightly shorter journey south to play Watford. It’s Saturday evening in the...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW21 Right, we’ve got those pesky FA Cup and Capital One Cup matches out of the way for now – and our reward is a cheeky little midweek gameweek! Lovely jubbly. There are three matches today as the seemingly doomed Villa host Palace, Bournemouth welcome West Ham and Man Utd go to Newcastle. Wednesday is fantasy funland with seven matches – Chelsea entertain West Brom, Man City play Everton, Watford travel down to Southampton, Stoke host Norwich, Swansea battle Sunderland, it’s Klopp vs Wenger as Arsenal visit Anfield and Spurs play Leicester at the Lane. Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 18

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW18 No poems, no songs, no game intros – the FPL Scrooge (Init) has spoken and decreed that no fun or “crap songs” may be enjoyed by anyone. Bah humbug ya grumpy old git! Boxing Day footy is one of the greatest traditions in sport and gives many the opportunity to don their coats and scarves and escape the domestic Christmas mayhem for a few hours. GW18 kicks off on Saturday lunchtime in Stoke as United come to visit with LVG allegedly under fire and on borrowed time. Seven 3pm matches follow with West Ham going to Villa, Bournemouth hosting Palace, Chelsea welcome Watford, Klopp’s Liverpool get to watch Riyad Mahrez and co strut their stuff as the Foxes go to Anfield, Sunderland have the simple task of stopping City at the Etihad, Spurs play Norwich and Swansea...[Read More]
