Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 30 Well that was a bit more like it wasn’t it? Game-week 29 saw a wave of points flood our sorry assed fantasy teams and give us a much needed shot in the arm, or in the arse, whatever you prefer, and actually brought a smile or two from even the most disgusted of fantasy managers. Okay, so that might be a slight exaggeration. Some will still moan away despite having their best week in ages but that is a mark of how this season has gone. Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 27 Darn these pesky cup-blank-lack-o-FPL’y goodness breaks. How dare they take our beloved game away from us, the cheek! Unfortunately, we’ve got to put up with it from time to time but we are delighted to welcome league footy back this weekend. The first blank-week of the season sees Manchester City, Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle sit this one out, leaving us with a few difficult decisions to make. Which players to take on and which to sell this week may just shape the next few weeks for our teams as the season begins to draw to a close. Easily one of the hardest to predict, it has at the very least been an even bigger challenge than usual and the actual footie itself, well, it’s been entertaining to say the least! And by mini-league we mean that one you are in with your mates at work or maybe even just your weekly football game, the one that you talk about, the one that probably means the most to you. Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 23 Given the unpredictable nature of the season we have had so far we were beginning to wonder whether the fixtures themselves were actually even a viable consideration in transfer decisions and as such we paid particular interest to the comments this week to see how many times an answer referred to the fixture itself in terms of whether to pick, play, or transfer in or out a given player. Our extensive research on this matter concluded that at least 72% of such comments alluded to the strength of the fixture ahead or indeed to future fixtures. Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 21 Welcome to 2016 and we hope it treats you a bit better in fantasy terms than the latter half of 2015 probably did! Wow, what a strange one that was and here’s hoping some normality returns soon but we wouldn’t hold your breath. Please feel free to alter and insert your own letters in that sentence accordingly… Yes, the little maestro returned to many a fantasy team this week and served up a reminder of why many others just didn’t bother. He did manage to break the hallowed 60 minute mark, just about, so at least that’s something. Ok, we are clutching at straws for you here. Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 14 Anybody need a hug?! Evidently that’s all it takes to turn a once ailing team into an all conquering team of superstars. We are now selling FPL hugs for a pound a go. Given how this season is going we expect to make a million! We are of course referring to Herr Klopp and his touchy-feely management style which has seen Liverpool suddenly become a viable fantasy (and perhaps real) force once again. Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 13 One thing they don’t teach you in fantasy football school is to have a good sense of humour but boy do you need one sometimes and no more so than when the International Breaks come around. The last one decimated many a previously healthy squad. We are of course still in the middle of the current one and await to see what ‘joys’ it will bestow upon us but with the likes of Payet and Bony getting themselves injured, even before it began, most will be hoping for better news this time around.
