Fantasy Football Fixtures

The first FPL article of the week that looks forward to the up and coming gameweek is the Fantasy Football Fixtures article, where we sort through which Premier League clubs have the easiest and hardest looking fantasy premier league fixtures for the short-term and thus enable managers to construct their FPL squads and think over transfers accordingly.

Interactive Fantasy Football Fixture Tracker 2015-16

Interactive Fantasy Football Fixture Tracker 2015-16 It’s that time again folks; T minus two weeks or so and counting! Many FPL players pick their initial team based chiefly on last season’s form, others on as many big names as possible (with the necessary accompanying threadbare bench), while yet others have a noticeable bias towards players from their supported team (Kop does NOT approve!). The serious FPL player will select their starting 15 based on a wide range of factors however, not least of which are the fixtures. With that in mind I’ve updated and improved the season-long tracker a few people seemed to find useful last year.

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 38

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 38 And so there was one! Wow. It seems like only yesterday that we wrote this with 38 glorious weeks ahead of us. And glorious they were. The up’s and down’s we’ve all been through. We’ve lived it together. Sometimes in good humour, other times in glorious technicolour with expletives at the ready! There’s 1 left though and it could prove crucial to many a mini-league. It’s ‘squeaky bum time’ as someone famously said. If you’re home and hosed already then well done but spare a thought for those that aren’t! It’ll be an excruciating experience as they kick every ball on the final day in the hope of squeezing out those last few pivotal points to see them over the line. As ever we are here to ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 34

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 34 Roll up, roll up – it’s double game-week time again! We’ve had a couple already but none quite as appetising as this one as four teams all ply their trade twice this week and two of them are actually quite good! Ok, so that’s maybe a tad unfair on Liverpool and Hull. And may be lavishing praise too highly on Leicester. But at least Chelsea are in form and scoring for fun… We jest of course. The last DGW made a fool out of many and a hero of out of a few so don’t be fooled this time around – you learned your Benteke / Austin / Phillips lessons the hard way. At least that’s the popular theory. The reality is that chasing any DGW can be a double edged sword, especially when there are so many teams involved. ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 33

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 33 The topsy-turvy nature of this season’s Premier League campaign continued in GW32, as changing fortunes at both ends of the table affect fantasy managers en masse. Man of the moment Harry Kane was kept quiet for once, by Villa of all teams, as Spurs were humbled at the Lane. The Pardew-led revolution at Crystal Palace continued as they won their fifth game in six with a drubbing of hapless Sunderland. Those who took a punt on Murray or Bolasie were payed off handsomely. Sergio Aguero got back to scoring ways at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon but his brace wasn’t enough to gain a result as United romped to a 4-2 victory. Oh how the tides have changed. Whether all this meant you climbed the rankings or extended leads, or left your team ling...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 32

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 32 First things first, we’re well aware that GW31 isn’t over! Villa and QPR still have to do battle tomorrow evening but we thought we’d release Fixtures for GW32 so we can keep to our usual timing of articles into the next gameweek. Plus we also are very aware that you are thinking of transfer plans already! GW31 has certainly been a case of whether your captain paid off or not with the likes of Austin, Beneteke, Alexis, Hazard and Rooney all rewarding managers, while those who stuck with the HurriKane were left with more of a modest breeze. GW32 shouldn’t disappoint as we have the Manchester derby at Old Trafford and the West London derby at Loftus Road. After two difficult weeks things appear to look up for Liverpool and things ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 37

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 37 Welcome to the silly season! What do we mean by that? Well, there’s a theory that at this time of the season you should switch your fantasy allegiances to those teams that have something to play for and ditch those that perhaps don’t, despite having invested in them all season. Well is there any evidence to suggest that this is a plausible strategy? We present three exhibits for the case of teams already being on holiday – Southampton, Tottenham and Everton. And teams for the opposite side of the argument – Sunderland, Leicester, Aston Villa and Burnley. Those in the ‘holiday’ camp managed 0 goals and 7 against this week. Those in the ‘sh*t, we may be relegated’ camp scored 6 and conceded none. Heck, even...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 35

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 35 A double gameweek can be a cruel mistress. The last one offered up the likes of Benteke, Austin and Phillips. This one has offered up the likes of Moreno, Schlupp and Bruce. We are only half way through it so we will reserve a final judgement, as the aforementioned three amigos all really just shone in the second half of theirs, but we aren’t holding out much hope for the other fallen trio! The landscape could be very different come Wednesday evening and Chelsea may have almost crossed the title line but there is still much to play for elsewhere. Arsenal and Sunderland have differing agendas but one thing very much in common – DGW37. We shall attempt to make sense of it all here as we take a look at the schedule ahead and study which teams ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 31

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 31 That was more like it! If GW29 left you feeling like a cold, lonely and stranded damsel in distress, GW30 soon arrived dressed as Prince Charming to whisk you away on a bed of fantasy points once more. It took a while to warm up though as Dopey (Aguero) blanked again in the early game leaving many wondering if GW29 had actually hung around. Bashful (Silva) looked just that as he finally got things going with the slightest of touches to register his 4th goal in 5 games. Sleepy and Sneezy at Southampton (Clyne and Bertrand) helped matters along with an assist, a clean sheet and bonus points for each, whilst Happy (Cazorla) helped Prince Charming pretender (Giroud) grab a brace up at Newcastle. On Sunday Doc (Hazard) got things off to a flier with an earl...[Read More]

Double gameweek analysis Aston Villa and QPR

Double gameweek analysis Aston Villa and QPR Nothing quite gets the fantasy juices flowing like a double gameweek. The opportunity to have the armband on a Giroud or a Sanchez, a Hazard or a Costa, is a wonderful feeling and leaves many managers eyeing up that elusive 100 club. Well, that’s all to come but this week we have possibly one of the drabbest doubles ever in prospect! We sincerely hope we are wrong but it’ll be a brave soul who chucks the kitchen sink at this one. Probably more like the odd cup or spoon. That said any player with two games in one week has to be considered, surely. Don’t they? The second double gameweek of the season may well be a sheep in wolf’s clothing but let’s go take a look at how we feel things shape up for both Villa and QPR t...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 30

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 30 So you are a diligent fantasy manager. You check the fixtures out, you plan ahead. You trawl the fantasy sites for tips for the week ahead. You spend countless hours pouring over your captain choice in your mind. You check the team news for injuries and generally scour the internet for any little morsel that could hand you an advantage. You post your team for feedback and ponder over the answers. You’ve pretty much done all you possibly can to prepare for the week ahead. And then you log on to check your score on Saturday evening. The average is 12 points. You’ve beaten it! By 2. You check your mini-league and all the top boys are in the same doo-doo and then you scan down and find that loser who quit after 12 weeks. He’s got 43 point...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 29

Fantasy Football Fixtures Gameweek 29 GW28 finally came to a close on Saturday with Harry Kane grabbing a brace to appease the majority who backed him as captain. As Kane rounded Rob Green there was a collective groan that could be heard all over from those who didn’t back the Hurrikane just as he sealed the Spurs victory and his second goal and all three bonus points with it. If you didn’t captain him then we still salute your bravado. A Kun hat-trick was on the cards but didn’t quite materialise. A couple of late Eriksen strikes were anticipated but never happened. Sometimes the bleeding obvious is just the way to go and right now that spells Kane, Kane, Kane. Let’s go and take a look at how we feel the next few weeks look and who has decent fixtures and who doesn...[Read More]

Fixtures double gameweeks and blanks

Fixtures: Double gameweeks and blanks. [three_fourth padding=”0 20px 0 0″] View image | gettyimages.com [/three_fourth]The key to a strong finish could easily come down to how well you plan ahead. In particular when you look ahead and see a couple of double game-weeks and blanks on the horizon. While everything is not set in stone at the time of writing this article, we feel we can make a very educated guess on what GWs you should be focusing on. This is the time of the season where the FA cup starts to really cause havoc. Coupled with the European tournaments and the inability of the FA to schedule replays at any old date, it certainly makes things very interesting. So let’s see if we can give you a better idea on how things are going to shake out, by breaking down the t...[Read More]
