FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 7

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 7 FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 7 The last GW before yet another International Break. This one begins on Saturday as Ronaldo Man United welcome Rafa back to Old Trafford for lunch. We then have four games at 3pm with Norwich taking the long trip up to Burnley, Chelsea looking to rediscover their mojo vs Saints, Leeds hosting Watford and Newcastle going down to Wolves. Arsenal’s new resolve will then be severely tested by Brighton in the late game. 2pm on Sunday then becomes the new 3pm of a Saturday with three games all at once: Palace welcome Vardy and co, Spurs and Villa play hide & seek with their Argentinian contingent and Brentford make the short trip to West Ham. Presumably they were all told to clear off early to make way for Sky’s inevit...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 6

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 6 FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 6 Five gameweeks in already, how time flies when you’re having fun! Gameweek 6 begins on Saturday this week, thank the good lord! (Pardew?). The normality ends there though as we have two 12.30 kick offs. Chelsea look to continue their solid form as they welcome Man City while Villa take the trip up the M6 to Old Trafford. Why are United at 12.30pm but not on TV? Because The Courteeners are playing at Old Trafford Cricket Ground that night! These rock bands think they can Take Over The World! Four 3pm matches follow as Everton hope the visit of Norwich may inject some momentum into their campaign, Antonio looks to single handedly destroy the Leeds defence, Leicester host Burnley and Newcastle take the long trip down to Watfo...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 5

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 5 Hello everyone and welcome to the gameweek AND the second FNF (Friday Night Football) of the season! Shortly we begin with Newcastle United v Leeds United which our very own Rosco will be attending assuming he is still allowed onto the Gallowgate following his questionable behaviour surrounding CR7 and his ‘beloved’ Toon last Saturday. Kidding, that man is a pro and he had his FPL business head on and let’s face it, until Newcastle are taken over we’re all allowed to be fed up by the Geordies! Saturday starts with Wolves v Brentford at lunchtime which will hopefully be a good watch as warm up to four 3pm kick offs with Burnley *cough* welcoming Arteta’s Arsenal to Turf Moor, ...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 4

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 4 FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 4 Welcome back to FPL and if you are one of these shut-down-completely types who has spent the time between the end of Gameweek 3 and this deadline up a mountain with no internet or civilisation, you haven’t missed an awful lot (pffft)! Just tell me you made your transfers or pressed the confirm button correctly? No? You could be in for a rough one then. Anyway, the fixtures themselves have us off to the capital this lunchtime for a South meets North affair as Palace host Spurs at Selhurst Park. At 3pm – in a continuing glorious and welcome return of normality – we have count ’em SIX matches on offer. Those who have the luxury of watching matches at this time, we guess you may have your eyes fully on Old Tr...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 3

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 3 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 3 Another gameweek in the books and another on the cards. As Gameweek 3 starts we are sitting here dreaming of how we are going to fit a certain Portuguese superstar into our teams. Still, let us leave that struggle for another day and turn our attention to the task at hand, which is scoring well this week. The gameweek gets started with City laying waste to Arsenal in the early game. That is followed by five 3pm kick-offs. Villa take on Brentford, Brighton play host to Everton, Toon welcome in Southampton, Norwich battle it out with Leicester and hopefully The Hammers take apart Palace. The day is not done yet though, as the Premier League have left their best game for last when Liverpool play host to Chelsea as both t...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2 We hope that GW1 was kind to you, but worry not if it wasn’t, as GW2 is upon us already. This one begins on Saturday lunchtime with Liverpool hosting Burnley and hoping for better than the 0-1 defeat they managed last season. The big change this season is the return of multiple 3pm Saturday games, and what a welcome relief that is. We have FOUR of them this week with matches at Villa, Palace, Leeds and the Etihad. Saturday ends with Brighton welcoming Watford at 5.30pm. Sunday should be fun as Manchester United go to the Saints who they had much fun with last season, Nuno gets an early return to Wolves and then Thomas Tactics gets to further nail Arteta into his inevitable Arsenal coffin. (Editor: Bit dark that,...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 38

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 38 THANK YOU Hi, Init here. Or Adam, whichever you prefer. I don’t often break cover from the ‘FF247’ facade but there’s a good reason to right now. Which is simply to say thanks to you all. Thanks for following, thanks for reading, thanks for commenting. Thanks for being involved. It’s been a long and difficult season, for a number of (bleedingly obvious) reasons. From an editorial POV it’s been an absolute nightmare. We usually post about 5 or 6 articles a week but given the ‘new’ TV schedules the GW’s have been running into each other with alarming regularity. The fixture schedule itself has been altered so many times it almost became a joke to even attempt to follow it. As such we have done ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37 Flurry As if to epitomise the season before it we have no time to dwell on GW36 as the next one is upon us already. GW37 itself will seemingly pass in a relative blur though as it is but two days long; crammed in midweek, much like the newly excited crowds will be in the stands. Rotation will probably hit hard this week so we hope you have a bench full of talent to cope. We begin early on Tuesday with a rather odd deadline time of 4.30pm. We have four games to begin with and the other six on Wednesday, which looks as follows; The games in full… Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as th...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36 Small is beautiful After 15 games in 7 days we have an 8 game, 3-day game-week, oh what joy, almost traditional, there’s even a game at 3pm on Saturday. On TV, of course. It’s worth remembering that Chelsea, Leicester, Man Utd and Arsenal all blank in GW36. Our game-week begins on Friday evening as the newly crowned Champions go to Newcastle to celebrate with Rosco and friends. Stuart Dallas; we shall all bench him no more this season, and all be hoping the curse of actually playing him doesn’t come back to haunt us as Leeds travel to Burnley for the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday. Our 3pm match sees Southampton host the relegated Fulham before the evening match sees West Ham take on Brighton at the Amex. Sunday brings us the r...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 35

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 The long game You may have noticed that there are a lot of games this week. If you haven’t and this is the first you know of it then you may be in a bit of trouble here. There are 15 in total, spanning 7 days in total, with at least a game on each day. 8 teams play twice and 1 other (Man Utd, aka Bruno) play thrice. We shan’t bore you with our usual pithy comments about each one, as 15 of those would probably be pushing the envelope a bit. Other than to say that come the end of it Champions will most likely have been crowned, some CL places will have been sorted and at least 1 more team will probably have been relegated. And of course, as is fitting with this season; GW35 ends on Thursday at about 10.30pm and GW36 begins about 20 hou...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 34

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 34 Days of yore Back to a relatively bog standard GW, certainly in so much as there are 10 games and every team features just once. Albeit one after the other in this new endless procession of games that we have to endure to please TV audiences. Surely there wouldn’t be an outcrying of grief, even from the woke crowd, if just occasionally they lumped a few together at 3pm on Saturday for old times sake?! Just take a game involving a couple of crap teams who even their own supporters would be glad of a break from and sneak it un untelevised. Newcastle vs Arsenal springs to mind! But we digress… GW 34 begins on Friday as Saints attempt to exorcise their (one of now many) 9-0 demons vs Leicester. Man City kick Saturday off for us by no dou...[Read More]
