FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 It’s a blank GW. That’s not to say there no games, as the name would would suggest. Or indeed a paucity of them. There are 8, with just 4 teams missing out. What it does mean though is that they are more condensed on each day so as not to clash with the FA Cup semis, which are ultimately the reason for the blanks. To stretch matters we do have a Friday game which sees Arsenal trying not to give up an almost inevitable 2 goal lead, this time against Saints at home. So they should be ok there… On Saturday we do have an early game which is Fulham and Leeds, but then just the 4 games at 3pm which sees Brentord vs Leeds, two 6-pointers with Palace welcoming Everton and Wolves going to Leicester, as well...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 Back to normality this week after the dizzying heights of the DGW29 – with ton-plus scores aplenty – as each team plays just the once in BGW30 (‘Boring’ Gameweek 30). Manchester United v Everton is the Saturday lunchtime kick-off – dare you captain Rashford and risk ruining your weekend? Saturday proceeds with no fewer than SIX 3pm matches as Aston Villa play Nottingham Forest, Brentford welcome Newcastle to the G-Tech, and a London derby is in store as West Ham head west across the capital to stare down Fulham. Managerless Leicester v Bournemouth, Tottenham against Brighton and Wolves v Frank Lampard’s Chelsea (*checks year*) are the remaining 3 at 3. Easter Sunday is rolling wit...[Read More]
FPL Live Match Chat Double Gameweek 29 Holiday planning… 12 teams with a double. 16 games in total. Spread out over 5 days in a row. 7 of them are televised. With at least 1 per day. 2 on some. And your author here is away on holiday. I’ve already warned the family that they may not see me until Thursday! Saturday sees the bulk with 7 in total, beginning with a biggie as Man City welcome Liverpool for lunch. There are then 5 at 3pm before Chelsea and Villa round the day off in the late one. Just the 2 on Sunday with West Ham v Saints at 2pm (I may pop back to see the family during that one!) and then Newcastle vs Man United at 4.30pm. I’ll be watching that for sure. Everton and Spurs are the only game on Monday. Yep, watching… Tuesday is busy with 4. Chelsea v Liver...[Read More]
FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 28 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 28 It’s Blank Gameweek time. Just seven fixtures this week with Brighton, Fulham, Liverpool, the Manchesters – United and City & West Ham United all ducking out of PL action due to it being FA Cup Quarter Final weekend. We begin on Friday at 8pm when it is the Trent-Tyne derby (not a thing, but I like the sound of it) as Forest host Newcastle to get us underway. Saturday offers 5 matches – four of which get going at 3pm. Aston Villa v Bournemouth is the alphabetical first choice, then we see action at the G-Tech as Brentford play Leicester, Southampton hope to keep out Spurs (or more specifically Harry Kane) and it’s Wolves v Leeds at Molineux. Chelsea look to keep their recent run of good ...[Read More]
Live Match Chat Gameweek 27 Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 27 Another DGW, oh the excitement! Well ok, this one involves Brighton, Brentford, Saints and Palace, but… The cause for optimism is that the former pair combined for 7 goals last week. The latter two slightly less excitingly so, with just a solitary goal between them. Despite the DGW this one is a pretty condensed schedule with the first ten games all on Saturday and Sunday, and the last two both on Wednesday. On to the action itself… Will the real Liverpool please stand up… they did last week, Bournemouth will be hoping they don’t again, in the early game at 12.30pm. The reverse fixture was 9-0………. The 3pm games all reek of desperation, mainly relegation, but also otherwise. Brentfor...[Read More]

Just the two on Sunday then with Forest v Everton in a big 6-pointer at 2pm and then the old classic of Liverpool v Man Utd at 4.30pm. Brentford and Fulham then conclude our GW at 8pm on Monday. The games in full… Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, ...[Read More]
FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 25 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 25 We may only have 10 games this week but that only tells half the story as we have two teams blanking (Man Utd, Newcastle) and four playing twice (Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool & Wolves). As such it is quite a drawn out affair beginning on Friday and not concluding until Wednesday. Fulham and Wolves get us under with at 8pm on Friday. There is no lunchtime game on Saturday but there are six games in all, four being at 3pm before Bournemouth and Man City go at it at 5.30pm, with Palace and Liverpool in a late treat at 7.45pm. Sunday is sparse because of The Milk Cup final so just Spurs and Chelsea at 1.30pm. A few days break before part two for the doublers with Arsenal v Everton and Liverpool hosting Wolves. The g...[Read More]
FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 24 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 24 Retro GW… A normal GW this one, indeed it is so normal and old school that it begins on Saturday and finishes on Sunday! That’s ahead of next week which looks like chaos as it spans 6 days, has 4 teams blanking and the same number with a double. Cherish this one then… 2nd placed Arsenal look to get their mojo back at lunchtime on Saturday with a visit to their old gaffer at Villa. This one should really have been in the Ebening… THere are a bumper 6 games at 3pm with Brentford vs Palace, Fulham going to Brighton, Chelsea hosting Saints, Everton crunchiong with Leeds, City looking to extend their lead and probably their GD at Forest and Wolves welcoming Bournemouth. Newcatle and Liverpool see ...[Read More]
FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 23 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 23 It’s yet another mini-DGW, this one featuring the top 2, that of course being Arsenal and Man City. We begin much lower down the league on Saturday lunchtime though with Chelsea going to West Ham at 12pm. We then have five 3pm games with yet another ‘derby’, of the M23 variety, as Palace play Brighton, Spurs go to Leicester, Saints and Wolves fight for 6 points, Arsenal and Brentford carry on the theme and Fulham welcome Forest. Bournemouth and Newcastle see us out on Saturday at 5.30pm. As is becoming traditional it is just the two on Sunday with Leeds and Man United, part deux, fittingly at 2pm, and then Man City vs Villa at 4.30pm. An odd choice in the prime slot given what else is on offer! Yet...[Read More]
FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 22 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 22 The first of a couple of ‘mini’ DGW’s on the trot before we then have a blank heading our way in GW25. This little lot will be interesting to navigate. We begin GW22 on Friday with Chelsea and their millions, yes we mean (of) players, hosting Fulham. Saturday starts with Dyche and his welcoming gift of… nothing, welcoming their beloved ex Arteta to Goodison. Who will no doubt throw Jorginho on with 5 left to see the game out, when it’s already 0-3, just to rub it in. We then have 5 games at 3pm, with Leicester going to Villa, Brentford hosting Saints, Bournemouth taking the short trip to Brighton, Palace going to Old Trafford and Wolves welcoming Liverpool. Newcastle and West Ham close ...[Read More]
FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 21 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 21 Feels like the games are coming thick and fast now, in all manner of competitions, but this was always how it was going to be after a winter World Cup. And this is all before the CL gets back up and running in mid-Feb. After a couple of mini-DGW’s we do however have a normal GW in front of us, and then a small break again for both the FA and EFL Cups. This one begins with a mid-table clash on Saturday lunchtime with Chelsea visiting Anfield. We then have most of the relegation candidates featuring in four games at 3pm before Palace and Newcastle see Saturday out for us at 5.30pm. Sunday is now the usual fare of two games at 2pm with Leeds hosting Brentford and Wolves going to Man City. The game of the week (in...[Read More]
