FF247 Site Team News GW29 Welcome to FF247 Site Team News GW29 Our Gameweek 28 Result 4 goals and 6 assists across the team saw us to a reasonably healthy 72 points, 19 above the average. Captain Haaland didn’t make it and unfortunately we went with Thiago rather than Ekitike as the vice. All of this contributed to our 3rd green arrow on the trot, with a 200k+ jump upwards towards some semblance of respectability. Which admittedly is still a way off this season! We have 1.5m in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW29. Let’s go see what was decided…. Our GW29 Transfer(s) – HELD For now we have decided to hold our transfer. We have Haaland and Rice on the watch list with yellow flags. If the former doesn’t make it we are unlikely to do anything other than let the ...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW28 DEFCON Monsters Welcome to FF247 Site Team News GW28 DEFCON contributions have dominated conversations on X in recent weeks. We fall firmly into the “take the points and say thank you” camp. This week we were the grateful recipients of no fewer than four bonus pairs — Semenyo, KDH, Rice and Bowen all hitting their respective thresholds. Bonus. Literally. Elsewhere, James somehow emerged with a clean sheet despite Chelsea losing theirs, and a trio of sixes from our captain (doubled to 12), Hill and Boomo meant it was, all things considered, a perfectly respectable week. In the end, only three of our eleven blanked. 52 points was seven above the average and enough for another green arrow. We climb from 2,123,375 to 1,963,779. We’re clearly not winning the league thi...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW27 It’s all a bit meh! Welcome to FF247 Site Team News GW27. We got a respectable 65 points this week. This was just above the 58 pt average so we did get a tiny 50k green arrow and now sit at 2,123,375. Great! Captain Gabriel didn’t hit the heights we were hoping for but atleast we didn’t burn our Triple Captain on him. Hill stuck on our bench with 9 points hurts so we will just ignore it. Semenyo and Rice carried the team with 14 points each so we tip our caps at them. Haaland, Bowen and Mbeumo chipped in with 5, 5 and 6 respectively but the rest of our miserable lot for 1s and 2s. Our Gameweek 27 Result We have £0.9 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW27. Let’s go see what was decided…. Our GW27 Transfer(s) We will keep it simple. W...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW26 Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW26 Our Gameweek 25 Result Despite a couple of clean sheets, and a few goals further forward we still attracted a red arrow, having had three greens in a row. Albeit a small one, which likely wouldn’t have happened had we not switched the armband off of Haaland. Fancy captaining a defender… madness! We have 0.5 in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of DGW26. Let’s go see what was decided…. Our GW26 Transfer(s) The D of the GW is the big clue here. And we only have two Arsenal. So that was obviously going to change. The ideal is Saliba to partner Gabriel but funds are an issue. Fortunately Szoboszlai did us a solid with his red, and an excuse to raise said funds. A Wolves mid was suggested but which one and why seemed pertinent e...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW25 Captain Sensible? Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW25 Another decent week. We’ll take those where we can get them. While our transfers were only half a success — budget new boy Hill delivered a clean sheet, but Bryan contributed a premium blank — it was the players we kept who did the real heavy lifting. None more so than Ekitike. Much to the annoyance of yours truly, the Frenchman gave Newcastle a painful reminder of what might have been. A brace and 13pts felt long overdue, and very gratefully received. Fellow forwards Bowen (8pts) and captain Haaland (10pts) chipped in nicely. Our decision not to follow the herd onto Fernandes wasn’t exactly vindicated, but crucially, it didn’t sink us either. Elsewhere, a DEFCON contribution from Szoboszlai (5pts), a goal from Sem...[Read More]

How Platform Economics Work The Same Way Everywhere

How Platform Economics Work The Same Way Everywhere Strip away the branding, the apps, and the shiny interfaces, and most modern platforms are doing the same job: matching two groups that need each other but don’t naturally meet: Drivers and riders Creators and fans Developers and players The same logic sits behind casino ecosystems tied to sites like https://royalreels-australian.com/, where online pokies Royal Reels operate inside a broader platform setup rather than as standalone games. In economic terms, this is a two-sided marketplace. One side only shows up if the other side is already there. Across industries, success depends on cracking three recurring problems: how to start, how to build trust, and how to balance both sides without blowing the whole thing up. Getting Off the Groun...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW24 One is the loneliest number… Welcome to FF247 Site Team News GW24 Another poor week for the Site Team with lot’s of players getting 1s and 2s, but thankfully everyone else had a terrible week so somehow we ended on a green arrow! 50 points which was above the 44 weekly average. We are still languishing around the 2 million odd rank, however. We only had 4 players return and a big thank you to them. Bowen with 12, Szoboszlai with 13, Semenyo with 8 and James with 6. Not setting the world alight but solid returns none the less. Our Gameweek 23 Result We have 0.3 in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of GW24. Let’s go see what was decided…. Our GW24 Transfer(s) We wanted Bruno F in our midfield and wanted rid of Gordon. The only way we could do it...[Read More]

FF247 Site Team News GW23

FF247 Site Team News GW23 In our defence, your honour… Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW23 Our Gameweek 22 Result Fair to say our defence pulled us out of a bit of a hole this week, providing 35 out of our 51 points. The ‘superstars’ in front of them did bugger all. In fact, Dorgu with 15 nearly matched their entire 16 on his own. Which would have been great. Only we’d stuffed him 2nd on our bench. Clearly we weren’t exactly expecting a goal, a clean sheet and 3 bonus points from him! Even without him we jumped about 400k this week. Probably would have been double that with him. We have 0.2 in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of GW23. Let’s go see what was decided…. Our G23 Transfer(s) First suggestion up was a simple switch of Man City personnel. Pep seems content to build his lates...[Read More]

Social Casino Trends 2026: Community Features Drive Player Engagement

Digital Community Standards: The Rise of Social Connectivity in Modern Gaming Recent analytics show that the “social casino” segment alone is now worth roughly $10 billion, proving that players crave more than just a win—they want to be part of a community. Statistics from 2026 industry reports reveal that 62% of players are more likely to return to a site if it features active chat rooms or collaborative play options. For a long time, the digital casino experience felt cold and isolated. Today, however, a new generation of players—led by the 25–34 age group—views gaming as a social hobby similar to streaming a movie or playing a team-based video game. These users expect the same “social feedback” they get from Instagram or TikTok. By integrating live feeds, shared rewards and competitive ...[Read More]
