Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 8
We all dream of a team of Ollie Watkins’, a team of Ollie Watkins’, a team of Ollie Watkins’ …..
Welcome to FF247 Site Team – Gameweek 8
Guess who our star man was this week! Not that useless Norwegian lump, nor yesterday’s man Mbeumo, James Maddison or anything dressed in a Manchester United clown suit.
Sir Oliver of Watkinsbrough. We love you. X
63 points overall with 23 (TWENTY THREE) from Aston Villa striker Watkins, including his second hat trick of the season, as he carried our attacking department. His nearest ‘challenger’ – Jarrod Bowen – was way back on 9 thanks to his goal against Sheffield United.
For Watkins in attack, read Trippier in defence i.e. doing ALL the heavy lifting on his own. 12 points in his performace against Burnley was supplemented by threes from Turner and Bell (not a solicitors or estate agents company) and 1 from Destiny Udogie.
It matters not we suppose, where the points come from, only that they come and our 63 was 14 points above the weekly average of 49 and lifts us to 27,566 overall – and the lofty position of SECOND IN THE WORLD (amongst Bonaire, Saint Eustatius and Saba residents).
Our Gameweek 7 Result

We have £1.6mln in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of Gameweek 8. Let’s go see what was decided.
Our Gameweek 8 Transfer(s)
With a couple of nasty flags and a general malaise on Marcus Rashford, we looked to use our two moves this week for a little refresh. With the match being away to Luton on Saturday, we wanted to supplement our already-owned James Maddison with some additional Spurs. We bring in Heung-min Son for the aforementioned Rashford and to make it work, we double-up on Newcastle who are on top of the world just now and bring in Fabian Schar – fresh from his goal against PSG in midweek*
* This was a split vote with Dan Burn and the author carries the sole responsibility for the final choice – prepare for fireworks!
To confirm then we have SOLD SVEN BOTMAN & MARCUS RASHFORD and BOUGHT FABIAN SCHAR & HEUNG-MIN SON
Captain – HEUNG-MIN SON
Early kick-off? Pah! We reckon Spurs at Luton is just too good on paper.
Erling Haaland is only vice captain (*shock emoji*)

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

My thinking this week:
Estupinan->Romero and Bell->Burn for a 4ph and hope Diaby plays
will leave only Mubama on bench though.
Going to punt on Son as captain this week.
Thoughts please.
inittowinit
Probably going to have to if you want an 11.
Hit is essentially a -2 as it’s replacing a zero otherwise. Assuming the replacement plays 60 as a bare minimum and doesn’t do anything daft!
hammerfan_lm
Agreed Init.
Are the 2 I have picked more likely to play 60 mins each?
Romero is the only worry – either him or Udogie, as dont have enough for Del Porro
banjomaker
Yup, I’d be doing that hammer
hammerfan_lm
Burn and Romero in?
banjomaker
Yea or Udogie, haven’t seen loads of spurs to you probably know best!
hammerfan_lm
Romero has 2 more points than Udogie, but Udogie has played more minutes
Mitro
Evening all,
Who is everyone going with as there capo?
hammerfan_lm
Son here
banjomaker
Salah with Son VC… Erling who?!
hammerfan_lm
noticed on one site, people are selling Erling!!
banjomaker
I’m not that brave
inittowinit
Hammers is barred for 24hrs for looking at other sites.
Reg83
Son.
Shrivathsa
In Haaland we trust
bundeena bunnies
Salah for me
banjomaker
I think the red wine is starting to take over… I’m currently favouring Hojlund over Alvarez in a differential bid to recover a terrible start
inittowinit
He looked great the other night. Could kickstart him that. Early on a bandwagon if he follows it up tomorrow.
banjomaker
That is all the encouragement I needed
The Padster
If United’s defence wasn’t so shite, Hojlund would have had all the headlines, he looked strong and fast, our only hope
hammerfan_lm
Pickford or Turner in goal is my final dilemma
inittowinit
Just Pick one…
hammerfan_lm
Shrivathsa
Pickford at home vs Bournemouth, vs Turner away to Palace, would suggest to go with Pickford
hammerfan_lm
I went Pickford – got an extra bonus save point, and 2 bonus points

Am I set for this week? Any further transfers will be for a hit but I do have 1.1 in the bank! Anything need changing?
inittowinit
I’d probably switch subs 1 & 2 around, personally.
Nice Capo differential.
Jamie Mc
On a wildcard.
No Haaland, yes I know the risks and will most likely backfire.
Captain and Vice Captain will be changed.
Bench in correct?
Thanks
Jamie
IvanTheTerrible
Jamie, somehow Forest have got at least a goal in every game, apart vs City. Trippier has better chance for some return, I would even consider Cash in play.
Jamie Mc
Thanks Ivan, over who?
Jamie
Jamie Mc
Oops, over Anderson.
Reg83
If u don’t have haaland atleast get someone better than archer.
Maybe isak or darwin. Don’t see much appeal in van dijk. May get the odd set piece goal but Liv don’t keep much cs.
