Fantasy Football 247 Site Team – Gameweek 8

We all dream of a team of Ollie Watkins’, a team of Ollie Watkins’, a team of Ollie Watkins’ …..

Welcome to FF247 Site Team – Gameweek 8

Guess who our star man was this week! Not that useless Norwegian lump, nor yesterday’s man Mbeumo, James Maddison or anything dressed in a Manchester United clown suit.

Sir Oliver of Watkinsbrough. We love you. X

63 points overall with 23 (TWENTY THREE) from Aston Villa striker Watkins, including his second hat trick of the season, as he carried our attacking department. His nearest ‘challenger’ – Jarrod Bowen – was way back on 9 thanks to his goal against Sheffield United.

For Watkins in attack, read Trippier in defence i.e. doing ALL the heavy lifting on his own. 12 points in his performace against Burnley was supplemented by threes from Turner and Bell (not a solicitors or estate agents company) and 1 from Destiny Udogie.

It matters not we suppose, where the points come from, only that they come and our 63 was 14 points above the weekly average of 49 and lifts us to 27,566 overall – and the lofty position of SECOND IN THE WORLD (amongst Bonaire, Saint Eustatius and Saba residents).

Our Gameweek 7 Result

We have £1.6mln in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of Gameweek 8. Let’s go see what was decided.

Our Gameweek 8 Transfer(s)

With a couple of nasty flags and a general malaise on Marcus Rashford, we looked to use our two moves this week for a little refresh. With the match being away to Luton on Saturday, we wanted to supplement our already-owned James Maddison with some additional Spurs. We bring in Heung-min Son for the aforementioned Rashford and to make it work, we double-up on Newcastle who are on top of the world just now and bring in Fabian Schar – fresh from his goal against PSG in midweek*

* This was a split vote with Dan Burn and the author carries the sole responsibility for the final choice – prepare for fireworks!

To confirm then we have SOLD SVEN BOTMAN & MARCUS RASHFORD and BOUGHT FABIAN SCHAR & HEUNG-MIN SON

Captain – HEUNG-MIN SON

Early kick-off? Pah! We reckon Spurs at Luton is just too good on paper.

Erling Haaland is only vice captain (*shock emoji*)

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Hey guys. How are your teams forming.
Had 3 injured players plus Rashford, Sterling and others were to be removed. So, the WC is active.
How does it look? Any suggestions?

On my Wildcard and is it worth Dropping Watkins and Bowen to improve elsewhere

    Currently thinking

Watkins, Bowen, Anderson, Lampty > Archer, Maddison, JWP, Andersen

Both leave me with 0.6 ITB
    Current team below

    Hi all,
here we go, pretty template. Waiting for the late news on Diaby thou. Defence is quite light, just want to save some money for the upcoming transfers. Plan is to save FT GW9, and reassess the team after that (BHA, LIV, ARS probably very tempting). Any thoughts on this quite dull mainstream WC?
