Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase
Just as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.
Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.
Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

Jamie Vardy has rejected Arsenal and signed another new deal at Leicester. Good man.
Hey Cookie
Somehow I think Leicester upped their 100K per week to keep him. Probably matched Arsenal’s 120K.
Brilliant though.
Yeah I’m sure they did GP – am quite surprised, but pleased – always funny to laugh at the Gooners as well – I thought I had the summer off, but it appears not!
They finished above Spurs again though so they have the last laugh on you. *whistles*
very true, they finished above Spurs again #wengerin
Wow that is a surprize I just cant see Lei doing any where near as good nk season but I’m glad he didn’t jump ship.
Right.
1st go at a knockout round team
looks very solid Hammers – I think teams on the whole will look similar from now on, which is a shame.
It is indeed a shame.
The difference will probably be in the next round when people that still have wild cards can take full advantage
Yes I guess those without a wildcard need to have the quarters in mind, while those who still have their wildcard can go all out this round.
Good team this hammers I have 6 off those at the moment I know I shouldn’t leave Ron out but I have at present , remember we only have 4 transfers for the nk stage.
Poland not looked up to much , Italy could go out but I can see why your keeping Giacc. You will lose one off Port or Croa.
Looks solid mate
I’ve still got my wc so can do wholesale changes again
Like it. Very very similar to what I had in mind myself. Paying no attention to the next round either with the WC tucked away is ideal.
Don’t like that my day 3 players are all defensive, but with Spain v Italy I don’t think that attackers age going to prevail
hammers
Meunier looks a fair pick now.
And as for the Poland defence (Fabianski) you can’t ask for much more than three clean sheets already so I completely get that.
Not much I don’t like about your squad. Solid mate.
Got £25 free credit but nothing to use it on
Patience photek ….
I have £25.00 too with plans to turn that in to £0.00 eventually
That sounds like my plan GP
Guys I’m heading off to Marbella for a gentlemans weekend tomorrow am, I need to lock my team tonight as I won’t get much time to mess with it whilst I’m away!
Thoughts on this lot ?
If you want England defensive coverage get Walker into the team instead of Hart, flip Hart to De Gea and Pique to Walker, England’s full backs are the defenders to own against Iceland as they’ll more than likely bomb forward again.
Like it! Thanks!
this is my first draft of my team for the next round, would anyone make any changes to it, i have already played my wildcard and still have 1.1 million itb. Cheers
courtois subasic
hector walker meunier rami jedrzejczyk
ozil payet perisic ramsey hazard
morata muller giroud
Looks pretty good to me. the notable omission, for me, is Bale. I think he’s a must have.
