Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase

Euro 2016 Fantasy FootballJust as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.

Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.

Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

Evening all! Great result last night smile smile smile

Does anyone know roughly how many people are playing the Euro Fantasy game?

  2. 134

Evening all, hows this bunch of misfits looking ?

    inittowinit says:

Fanager is back open again by the way. £1k free roll to basically test it in the quarters as then the full £10k one in the semis. Assuming it works laugh

    MattX says:

Evening lads, what do you think of these moves? I’ll probably take a hit aswell.

    Hart –> Lloris
    Walker –> Giaccherini
    Alba –> Guerriero
    Witsel –> Hazard
Perisic –> 7 Mil mid but I’m thinking of Joao Mario at 6.0 then upgrading somewhere else.

      inittowinit says:

All seem like sensible moves mate. Mario seems fine as well unless you fancy that Blazy guy instead.

    • 136.2
      DMC says:

The witsel -> Haz seems a bit sidemove. Can you keep him and do the Perisic-> Haz one? Either that, or do the Mário move for Perisic and upgrade muller to Ronaldo!

      • inittowinit says:

Yeah, they’re good ideas as well. If possible.

      • MattX says:

Yeah Witsel to Hazard was my hit move but I’ve only just realised Perisic to Hazard works without having to make a hit. But is 2 Belgians in midfield worth it? I want Portugal attacking cover but I can’t swap Muller to Ronaldo only have 11 Mil to do that so Witsel to Mario is my only real option unless I do Muller to the likes of Nani or Quaresma

        • DMC says:

I would place Nani ahead of the milk man. Not so sure on muller but If it means you get hazardo in than yeah, could work. The downside of that move is that you wont have any forwards left for the 3rd and 4th games of the quarters.

        • MattX says:

Oh Milik is staying I don’t think I should take that much of a hit. I think I’ll definitely the defensive moves it’s the attacking ones I need a think about. So Hazard for Perisic is basically a no brainer, Muller I’m starting to think I should sell but can’t really afford Ronaldo so Greizmann could be the next best option, that means the only way to get Portuguese attacking cover is to take a -8 hit and do Witsel to Mario aswell. Too much?

        • inittowinit says:

-8 is too much Matt. Nothing wrong with double Belgium really. Milik is entertaining in a perverse sort of way! Nani has actually looked really good this tournament. I wouldn’t be against having him.

        • DMC says:

          Too much mate.

        • MattX says:

Yeah that’s what I thought. So -4 and do Muller to Nani?? Keep the double Belgian mid?

    DMC says:

So mane to Liverpool! Good news for klopp! He’ll be expensive though fantasy wise.

    • 137.1
      MattX says:

He’s a good player but as per usual I think we spent way too much on him!! I’d say he’ll be priced around 8 maybe 8.5 at most.

      • DMC says:

You may be right. We’ll need to see If klopp can improve is commitment. The only bad thing here is that We’ll have África cup In January.

        • MattX says:

We’ll also need to see if he plays and where?? What country does he play for again? That would mean we’d have two players gone with Matip leaving aswell.

        • DMC says:

Senegal. And they seem to have qualified! Sadio should play on one of the wings of klopp’s 4-2-3-1!

        • MattX says:

Yeah I just found it on Wikipedia he’s Senegalese and they are one of only 8 teams to have qualified so far. Well the only player I would drop is Milner and Klopp seems to love that son of a bitch so I’m not sure he will. I think Mane will be used in the same capacity Firmino and Couthino were. Rotate every few games to keep them fresh.

        • DMC says:

Humm sadio doens’t do rotation… You can have milner and eerrmm hendo In midfield and then Coutinho, Firmino, Mane and then Studge! Brutal attack with a ‘I’ll score more than you approach’!

        • inittowinit says:

I’m absolutely certain that’s the exact mid / attack combo that is written on Klopp’s chalkboard right now. And it looks fairly darn impressive!

        • NIN says:

Hmm, hadn’t put it together like that in my mind yet. T’is an impressive quartet for his style of ball, that’s for sure. If Coutinho and Sturridge can stay fit they’ll go places i think.

        • Kop Warrior says:

Don’t worry, we’ll flatter to deceive as usual!

        • MattX says:

Yeah that’s the team and formation I was thinking but I would have Henderson and Can play the midfield 2 and tell Milner he’s going to be a bench player but I’m unsure if Klopp will do that, I hope he does!!

        • Kop Warrior says:

I don’t think we can play Henderson & Can together. Neither are disciplined enough to sit in front of the defence and break up the play. We need a proper DM to play beside one of them.

        • I agree with Kop here.

N’Golo Kante would be the dream signing for that role.

I am excited by Liverpool for the coming season I must say.

        • MattX says:

Yeah I suppose that is true Kop but if he doesn’t play them in that role they will never learn and I think Can has been Liverpool’s best player under Klopp so maybe during the preseason he can improve Can more as a DM or even just make him more disciplined.

I agree GP, Kante would be a great buy but I don’t see him coming at all and not cheaply by any rate.

    FC Sanchez says:

    Evening All,

A few more days to go but who are you all thinking of bringing in w/ the 4 ft? What would you do w/ this sorry lot?

    Neuer / Fabianski
    Boateng / Hector / Rami / Chester / Jedrezjczk
    Hazard / Payet / Pogba / Ramsey / Perisic
    Bale / Giroud / Gomez

And whats the word on Rami?
    Cheers!!

    • 138.1
      FC Sanchez says:

      Ah Rami suspended. Shite!

      • DMC says:

Ehehe I was about to say that that’s the word on him. Anyway, you’re leading so that’s not a sorry lot! smile I think Ronaldo, Bale, Hazard and Payet are the must haves for the quarters and you already have 3 of those so maybe just rearrange things here and there to get Ronnie in. If not doable Rami->Giacherinni stands out or another franchie If you can afford. I would suggest Portugal defence instead of polish but If may always backfire of course.

    • 138.2
      NIN says:

Not that i give a toss anymore but i brought in Sagna, Draxler, Blasz, Mario and Griezmann.

    • 138.3
      FC Sanchez says:

Thanks, DMC+NIN. Good points and player recommendations. Defo Rami to Giacherinni or Sagna; and Perisic to Draxler or Blasz would also work. Ronnie might be a tough one unless I ship out Bale. I could go Nani who has been on the scoresheet this tournament.

On a different note, have you guys seen the yellow card tally? Some teams might be in trouble for the semis* if their players pick up another yellow in the quarters (see ITALY).

One booking away from missing the semi-finals after picking up a yellow card already:
