Good Evening and welcome to the launch of my Summer Competition. Given as UEFA have left all us good fantasy folk stranded with no actual competition to play I thought I would step forward to try and fill the void a bit with my own little competition, just to keep us entertained. The competition is based on the Under 21 European Tournament which starts on Friday 16th June. Screw UEFA then, let’s get on with it…

Your aim is to gather as many points as possible, its that simple.
Follow this link to the UEFA site to find all you need to know when selecting your men who’ll hopefully bring you European Glory (then click on the Under 21 tab).

Lets Play ‘Its A Pre-Tournament Gamble’

The Rules.
A – Select 5 players from any position you wish.
B – Highlight one as your Captain (C) for double points.
C – Your men may come from just one of the Under 21 teams or a pick and mix from any.
D – Your five man team must be picked ahead of the tournament starting, hence its all a Potty gamble.
E – There will be two groups which I’ll draw on Monday at 9pm, with the top four after the group stage is complete making the semi-finals stage.

The Potty Points System!!!!
All your players will gain points as follows…

Appearance (and even off the bench) = 15pts
Goalkeeper/Defender cleansheet = 25pts
Goalkeeper/Defender conceeding = -10pts per goal
Any player making an assist = 20pts per assist
Any player scoring = 30pts per goal
Yellow or Red Card flashed = -5pts & -8pts respectively.

Now pick your 5 star men from these teams…

Poland
England
Slovakia
Sweden
FYR Macedonia
Portugal
Serbia
Spain
Czech Republic
Italy
Denmark
Germany

The 1st part of the competition, and your 5 picks as per above, are for the group stages only. You will get to pick a different squad after that but stay tuned for details should you qualify that far.

So do a wee bit of research then post those men of yours below.

    Only trouble is that it doesn’t do anything when I click submit when creating a username / team. If anyone gets past this bit let us know as we may actually have a game to play.

      It’s still not working on laptop though. If that isn’t resolved I won’t be bothering as it’s too much hassle to do on the phone.

      • Nice try Initt but it doesn’t work on my laptop so not a goer.I will just stick with Potty,he does what it says on the tin!

        • Mikess says he had it working on desktop the other day so I’m hoping it’s just a temporary glitch. I’ll keep checking and post if it seems to be fixed.

      • Hey Init looks like you can’t register without playing for prices which requires some personal info so didn’t carry on pity 😉

        • I registered without putting any of that in Silvers. Just email and password. Ignored the bit below about prizes. It’s only asking for your name anyway, what have you done wrong in Poland in the past?!

        • Not sure I don’t remember :smiling: I did just try that first then tried just putting name in on my iPad didn’t work might have another go.

        • I did the mail snd password, then a pop-up appeared saying ‘don’t trust the site’ so i binned it.

        • That was a message to them Elle, not you. ‘Site’ is ‘Scouser’ in Polish laugh

  6. Pottys Under 21 Tournament and Summer Extravaganza.
    An UPDATE for you all.
    The days are getting less and the kick-off is close, infact it’s a 17.00hrs start on Friday for my Competition.
    Now I know some of you are awaiting the first games starting line-outs to finalize your 5 Man Team but please be warned.
    If you encroach on the 17.00hrs Friday deadline with your selection then you are sadly out of my tournament, this is only fair as many have selected their teams already.
    Remember don’t fuck it up.
