Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 18 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8GW18 is almost live! WAKE UP! No, seriously WAKE UP! You have 15 minutes to get your ass in gear! This is possibly the most missed deadline of the season, for obvious reasons! Anyway, whether you do wake up and find both us and the deadline in time then we hope you had a great Christmas but if you don’t, and wake up mid afternoon in a panic, then we still hope you had a great Christmas, but #FPL commiserations! Boxing Day is unique in that it has all 10 games in one day so it can be a bit hectic but the points all still count the same. Stoke (0 – 0) Man Utd kicks us off at 12.45pm, followed by an ’80’s style’ seven 3pm games and then we ease into the evening with Newcastle hosting Everton at 5.30pm and finish off your Boxing Day football bonanza (aka relaxing in front of the telly with the family, you’re not kidding us!) as Southampton host Arsenal at 7.45pm.

The important news is that the deadline for GW18 is at 11.45am on Saturday 26th December

Hey guys, how did Boxing Day go for you? A bad captain choice lost me my cup match by a whisker but I gained a little ground ground in the rankings with 54 points and won my H2H. Was thinking about getting Walcott or another premium MF in for Deulofeu with my FT, but with Kompany injured and Kolarov a rotation risk is it time to cut him loose? If so, for who? Thanks for any advice, best of luck tomorrow! smile

Hey Red. How about Monreal for Kolarov?

Boxing Day went well. How about u?

Hey Red. Boxing Day was good, but wrong captain choice. Luckily my cup opponent also capped Mahrez (as predicted), and I won the tie, thanks to Kane and Butland. smile

Id take an Arsenal defender in place of Kolarov to take advantage of the upcoming two decent home games.

Thanks Dreamers and B. Congrats on winning your cup match! Which Arsenal defender to you like? My ML leader has Bellerin so I was thinking maybe Kosc who has more BPS and gets a goal once in a while. That still leaves me with Deulofeu who isn’t a big FPL point scorer but I could always leave him as first sub. Getting in Walcott will create a selection headache but that’s not really a bad thing with teams needing to rotate now.

      • RedVT says:

Also, can anyone venture a guess at which Arsenal defender is least likely to be rested/rotated? Or is it just a total lottery at this point?

        • bihom17 says:

I’d say Koscielny would be the least likely to be rested. I would expect to see at least two of Debuchy, Gabriel and Gibbs start against Bournemouth.

        • I would agree with that. Was about ready to say probably Kos, but it is all just a guessing game.

        • RedVT says:

Thanks bihom and Mito, much appreciated fellas.

        • @Red, looked at last season to see how Wenger played it out with these 3 congested fixtures.

Game 1 > Debuchy, Merts, Monreal and Gibbs

Game 2 > Debuchy, Merts, Kos and Gibbs

Game 3 > Debuchy, Merts, Kos and Gibbs

Before you worry about Kos not starting all 3, I looked into it and he wasn’t even on the bench in the previous games before the 3 game stretch. Which suggests that he was probably injured or suspended when they hit this run of games.
Also, noticed that Wenger lined up 3 different forwards in all 3 games. In the midfield only Caz and Alexis started all 3 games. Ozil didn’t feature in any as he was still injured, so hard to gauge how Arsene will deal with him.

        • Mitro says:

Mito – what do you think the chances are of Wally playing both games? I’m pretty certain he will!

I do suspect bellerin will be rested in one of the games maybe giroud

        • RedVT says:

Wow, thanks for digging into that Mito! That’s excellent info. As much as I love Theo normally I would stay away from him since he seems to have pissed Wenger off in another life and continues to pay for it in this one. But with all of the injuries in the Arsenal midfield and Theo not playing a long stretch of games due to injury, I’m thinking Wenger may have no choice but to play him.

        • @Mitro, I have retired from the predicting Theo’s minutes business. A man can only be wrong 25 times before he starts noticing that there might be a problem with his thinking.

Don’t you dare sucker me back in!!

        • Mitro says:

Mito – I think he’s going to be my cappo!! smile

          You with me?

      Raziel says:

Team looking solid mate. Was thinking of getting Wally myself. Points are in the mids, not defense. Especially these days. You can’t predict cleansheets when schedule is so harsh.

      • RedVT says:

Thanks Raz. Are you worried about Walcott’s playing time at all? Is he a better pick than Rambo? Who else are you considering? I already have KDB but Toure looks like he may be entering beast mode and I think I’m staying away from Aguero for now since my current forwards are playing well. Double City midfield wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

After several akward and painful weeks, finally a green arrow, and a big one. Risen 130k places or smt, from 259312 to 132453, with 73 points yday. This is something I really needed. Still having Kane and KdB was key.

Anyway, this is my team for tomorrow. Any suggestions? And is KdB still dropping? Aaaah yes, have 1 ft and 0.9m in the bank.

      Expensive bench there Raz

      The B says:

Kola > Bellerin/Kosc/Monreal and bench Van Djik? But to be fair, you can save FT easily and reassess next GW in case Vardy gets the 5th YC.

      Raziel says:

Alli is build in security, and he already paid off. I opted Wally over him for yesterday, however something told me that Arsenal wasn’t gonna win yesterday, so I was reluctant. All the Gooners going crazy after the City game, saying City cant pull the trigger. First half hour City was much better and it’s pure luck Arsenal got ahead and City sort of didn’t know how to cope. As a team, before that, City were much better. Yesterday sort of supports that view. I had the same exact feeling with Leiceester, I felt after messing up several games, Klopp would find the formula for Leicester. Everybody gambled big on those 2 games. Anyway, Was thinking Haz out, Wally in and play Wally over ummm Alli (5th mid, ,back up).

      • RedVT says:

Alli is great Raz, he’s priced as a 5th midfielder but with Kane playing up top in front of him he can be a 4th midfielder any week you want. He could easily have had another assist and a headed goal that was saved by the keeper. That being said, Watford at home are no slouches so he may be a good 1st sub for this week. I’m considering the same thing if I get Wally in, but if not it’ll be a choice of Deulofeu or Alli as first sub to come on if Vardy can’t make it or if anyone is rested.

Hey guys. What do we think about changing hazard for silva. I already have kun and kdb. Does anyone know why kun didn’t play yesterday.

    Mitro says:

    Afternoon,

Who would you play/bench out of this lot

    • 160.1

@Mitro, I probably bench Toby and Bennett, but that’s just me, could definitely see someone making a case for playing either in particular Toby. I suspect that a guy or two from the bench might find their way on if rotation in the EPL kicks in. I probably bench Alli from the midfield, but I should probably be slapped for suggesting that.

Hey guys and gals. Hope the festive period is going well/

Any ideas on the team below? 2FTs 5.4 itb REALLY unsure.
Was thinking Vardy –> Kane at first but now am leaning towards keeping him so not sure. Maybe just Mccarth to Henne?
Ozil cappo? Or thinking KDB as expecting Kun to start?

    Ideas are much appreciated.
